Rick Perry made a really odd faux pas during a congressional committee about Puerto Rico.

What’s odd is that he called it a territory just seconds before calling it a country, which is false. But calling it that supports the narrative many are pitching that Puerto Ricans aren’t doing enough to help themselves in the aftermath of the terribly destructive hurricanes that hit it.
For those who think that the Trump administration is neglecting Puerto Rico, this will be yet another sign that their interest is elsewhere. For those who will defend el Trumpo on everything, they’ll say this was just an innocent mistake.
At least he still has those snazzy hipster glasses!
