I'm so disgusted with the Republicans since 2010. They have completely failed to rein in the obscene spending and immoral leftist stupidity.

He and I are playing phone tag a bit last night and today. But earlier this morning, right before his surgery, I did reach him in person and talked with him for several minutes. He was irked then because they didn't allow him to have any water or coffee... and it sounds like he is still wanting some coffee! Here are excerpts from his latest phone message to me:
1:46 PM Pacific time:
"This is your Bionic Buddy. I'm alive, I survived -- but I am sore, very very very sore. The whole thing took about 2 hours. [I had] no strokes, none of that [during the surgery] ... but I am badgering them because I really really need my coffee [...] "
I know he will stay the night, and tomorrow there are more tests to be done. But I think he did great! Woohooo!
Thanks for the update. There are many, many here on TRS that are anxious and concerned for this dear man. Our prayers have been answered. Praise the Lord.

So if I read this correctly, law enforcement can drone murder me if I'm in a fight with someone by determining there is an imminent threat of harm....I would think Ted Cruz would have authored tighter legislation.

So Sen Paul wins, McCain and Graham have beclowned themselves for nothing - and we can ask why was is so difficult for the government to give such statement? Did they think they'd get away with using drones? Have they become frightened by the response to the filibuster?

I listened to the whole lot and he does repeat himself a lot and goes round in circles as you'd expect, it's not an eloquent speech or anything but I think the ACT is always remembered and at least he wasn't reading from a phone book or other random stuff.
Hard not to repeat yourself when you're talking about the same issue for 13 hours ;-)
I think it was a very eloquent speech and right on point. He went through his position more than once so people joining in on C-SPAN would understand.
