While Obama’s out there pointing at bridges that might need repair, Orrin Hatch reveals that there were 35 states that got less stimulus money for their roads, highways, and bridges than Solyndra did in a guaranteed loan for their green jobs scam.

***

Here’s a chart, courtesy of PJ Tatler, that shows how much money each of these 35 states got for their ‘shovel ready’ jobs in comparison with what Solyndra got in a guaranteed loan. And notice that only three of them exceeded $500 billion.

Just to bring this full circle:

Obama believes in giving money directly to private individuals/groups of individuals, rather than to states ,
so as to avoid governemnt waste
    ;-)

Proud to see Indiana not on that list! Oh wait, did they get more :(

Huh!! California is absent from the list ?!!

Audit the ARRA, find the money and you find the corruption. How much money did the Presstitutes get to look the other way and not report on the biggest theft of the USA Treasury? Obama has played the USA citizens for suckers by stating “place a bill on my desk and I will sign it”
The stupid Republicans gave him a 2.4 trillion dollar blank check and he comes back for more to fund disaster relief. Republicans you better start to speak up or it is lights out for you guys also.

500 million, not billion, in the paragraph before the graph.

I wonder what the states have to show for the money…..and where did the rest of the Stimulus money go? Into obama’s pockets?

Yes, Obama is IMPLODING and his administration is now RACKED with multiple scandals.
But Election Day is more than 13 months away — an eternity if you’re worried about America.

That’s why we must see a new Solyndra-Obama-Bundler story/video on the web every day!
This has to be the scandal that just won’t go away…until it engulfs that lying piece of crap.

Convene a grand jury, appoint a special prosecutor, damn the (w)hole Obama Administration!
If the facts prove Obama and his Dem cronies are guilty of felonies, then impeach and convict…
…and send them to Gitmo so they can all serve time with like-minded “associates” (wearing orange jumpsuits).

If this is true that dear leader wants to give these people preferred status for re training….. ah crap. Why do I bother. People may think I’m being sarcastic when I say this administration is making me sick- I really mean, my health is going downhill from the stress of all of this and the effects of dear leader’s and the others’ policies have on so many families I know.

True bumper sticker: “This is not your real life. If this were your real life, you would have been given better instructions.”

Or to put it in Paul’s words: “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.” (Colossians 3:2-4)

I believe I remember from some of your other posts that you’re a believer in Jesus. (If not, check Him out. Now THERE is a candidate – the Prince of Peace!)

      Remember:
“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near!” (Luke 21:28)

      And:
“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not have precedence over those who are ‘asleep’. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1st Thessalonians 4:15-18)

Americanborn, people laugh at this now, but they won’t be laughing thirty seconds after it happens. We will be. We’ll walk away from this weary, torn old world into Heaven. See you there.

Thank you my friend and brother- for the encouragement. I know sometimes I let things affect me too much, but no matter how down I do get, I always ALWAYS have that same hope that is in me. Like those heroes of the faith, I may or may not see the promises in this life, but I know our God is Good and Faithful, and He is my hope. God Bless you- and I will love meeting you there!
        :-)

Look up, American….your Redemption draws near! He’s our hope, man fails, but God restores! :)

Thank you badbadlibs :-) I so appreciate the encouragement from so many wonderful folks here- I know I need to show mine more. I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
Job 19:25.. Since you and Westernman took care to quote our favorite verses, I’ll leave everyone with one from Billy Graham…. “I’ve read the last page of the Bible. It’s all going to turn out all right.”

Even if it weren’t a fraudulent complete waste of money wouldn’t $535,000,000 for 1,100 jobs be almost $500,000 per job? Ya think maybe the private sector could create jobs for a little less than that per job?

Isn’t that amazing? Really, there are acutal human beings who think what you’ve just said is wrong….well, at least I “think” they’re actual human beings….that invasion of the body snatcher always comes to mind when it comes to liberals and how they think.

    TheRightScoop,

Your post should say “million” instead of “billion” at the end.

yeah, when it’s YOUR money, out of your OWN pocket…shovel ready takes on a whole new meaning when you f&*k up…you don’t slouch in your chair & laugh…it has bigger consequences. but Solyndra will be swept away as they point to ‘all the good things’ they’ve done…ummm, what are those things exactly?? oh, yeah…running guns to Mexico, I forgot.

See, I think he’s listening about I am sure your people informed you…about regulations, etc., to get a business started, to create jobs…and all the while O is thinking Damn Straight. That is exactly what our plan is. And, then he produces an amusing sound bite for the press. Yawn! or should we wake up?

  • Anonymous

but did those 35 states donate as much to the obamessiah as solyndra execs?

Thanks for the chart, Scoop. More facts for the fight.

In a business as complex as the U S Government, it helps to have people running things who have a proven track record of actully running a successful business. (I don’t believe that our president has even run so much as a hamburger stand.) As to states, I believe there’s a strong tie between states receiving large amounts of stimulus money and the presence of strong public employee unions in those states, along with a blue color as to their voting patterns. In other words, a strong hint of “bail out” money to states who haven’t kept the financial houses in order under the guise of an economic stimulus package.

Honestly, if he doesn’t know what the proper role of government is–that government is a GUN–then business experience won’t help. I hear that angle from candidates all the time (like Romney) that because of their business acumen they’ll be able to run the government efficiently. If a candidate doesn’t understand the constitutional law and natural rights he’ll be just as bad at violating our liberties. He’ll just be more efficient at implementing Keynesian, Socialistic policies.

“Shovel ready was not as…[chuckle, chuckle]…shovel ready as we expected…[chuckle, chuckle].” These Keynesian Socialists just love to experiment on We The Little People. So what if they destroy our dollar and our economy while they’re at it?
