PAGING NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN: John Kerry says a deal on Iran’s nuclear program could be reached ‘quickly’

The new delusion over Iran’s nuclear program has John Kerry thinking that the US and Iran can be buddies after all:

REUTERS – Secretary of State John Kerry said a deal on Iran’s nuclear program could be reached relatively quickly, and it would have the potential to dramatically improve the relationship between the two countries.

Kerry said intensifying diplomatic efforts to resolve the dispute over Iran’s nuclear program could produce an agreement within the three- to six-month time frame that Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has called for.

“It’s possible to have a deal sooner than that depending on how forthcoming and clear Iran is prepared to be,” Kerry said in an interview aired on CBS’s “60 Minutes” on Sunday.

“If it is a peaceful program, and we can all see that – the whole world sees that – the relationship with Iran can change dramatically for the better and it can change fast,” he said.

Meanwhile, Netanyahu is doing everything he can to make the West understand that Iran is playing us:

FOX NEWS – Just days after the first conversation between the leaders of the U.S. and Iran in 34 years was hailed as a “breakthrough” in relations between the two countries, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is taking an unpopular message to the White House and the United Nations: Don’t be fooled by Tehran’s “sweet talk.”

Netanyahu, who contends Iran is using conciliatory gestures as a smoke screen to conceal an unabated march toward a nuclear bomb, will meet with President Obama Monday to deliver strong words of caution to the U.S.

“I will tell the truth in the face of the sweet talk and the onslaught of smiles,” Netanyahu said before boarding his flight to the U.S. on Sunday. “Telling the truth today is vital for the security and peace of the world and, of course, it is vital for the security of the state of Israel.”

Netanyahu’s words will fall on deaf ears in the Obama administration as I believe Obama wants this deal with Iran to prevent Israel from striking Iran and taking out her nuclear capability. Despite all his rhetoric, he’s never been for Israel attacking Iran and this is another way to try and keep them at bay.
