The Palestinians are already making big threats over Trump’s potential move of the US embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem, saying it destroy any chance of peace between Israel and the Palestinians:
YAHOO – A senior Palestinian official warned US President-elect Donald Trump Friday that keeping his word and moving the American embassy to Jerusalem would destroy prospects of a peace process with Israel.
Jerusalem was a final-status issue to be negotiated between Israel and the Palestinians, secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organisation Saeb Erekat told journalists, and making a decision on it now “will be the destruction of the peace process”.
Erekat’s remarks came a day after Trump announced his decision to nominate David Friedman, a supporter of Israeli settlements who said he looked forward to working for peace “from the US embassy in Israel’s eternal capital, Jerusalem”.
Friedman’s nomination was welcomed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and members of his rightwing government.
Trump seems intent to go with this embassy move, especially with his nomination of Friedman, who owns an apartment in Jerusalem.
As far as the Palestinians go and their ridiculous threats, in my opinion this is more reason to do it. Palestinians don’t want peace and we all know it. The idea of peace is just a facade – they could have had peace many times over the years if they really wanted it. Instead, what they want is to push the Jews into the sea and take over Jerusalem and Israel.
But as we all know, Israel and the Jews aren’t going anywhere.
