Palin to Krauthammer: I’m sorry I’m not hoity toity enough for ya!

Sarah Palin never apologizes for what some attribute to her as weaknesses. Krauthammer recently criticized her as not looking very presidential because of her shows and books. But she makes it clear that she brings a different game than what some are accustomed to, and win or lose that’s what she’s going to stick with. She’s going rogue!

It’s a great interview all the way through. Enjoy!

THUGS like the NEW BLACK PANTHERS??? There are as many THUGS on the left as there are on the right. Get OVER it. The last 2 MAJOR meltdowns (Discovery Channel and Florida School Board) were from the LEFT not the right.
To our shame those of us on the right are blamed for Tim McVeigh and Oklahoma City. To those on the FAR RIGHT who remember RUBY RIDGE remember that the first civilian casualty was a 14 year old child and the 3rd was his mother. As for WACO Tx. while saving kids from a phedophile megolamaniac is GOOD killing them in the process was WRONG. Killing a 14 year old because his father sawed off a shotgun????? then killing his MOTHER???? LOOK LONG AND HARD, in both cases the GOVERNMENT KILLED KIDS. Now in the age of terrorists we are supposed to put our faith in the that same government??? That same government that is, as we speak, writing laws that tell us how to EAT THINK AND FEEL.

She’s becoming a caricature of Tina Fey caricaturing Sarah Palin.

She has a problem if she can’t see that CK is a conservative who wants to see conservatism win. I’d take his analysis on anything over her’s. She needs to take his criticism constructively instead of falling back on her standard ‘Washington elite’ line. Just because someone doesn’t think you’re qualified or the right nominee does not make them a ‘blue blood’.

There’s definitely a lot of ruling class types in the Republican party, but CK isn’t one of them. He’s a guy who talks and conservatives listen. She’s just making it worse for herself, burning bridges with anyone who criticizes her. She’s like Ayn Rand without the intellectual powers.

    • Forefathers

I like Krauthammer, but I disagree with him about 20% of the time. Sarah is her own person; she has every right to disagree with Krauthammer (who DOES have an elitist air about him.) She stated her disagreement and her reason for it. I respect her for doing so. Read Going Rogue. Sarah Palin has taken on the “established” heavyweights her whole life. She forges her path and moves on.

Frankly, America needs her more than she needs the headache of serving the United States. Look at what she stands for. Look at her guts to get it done. The rest be damned.

Charles Krauthhammer worked for Jimmy Carter administration. He was also on the Democrat campaign team 1980 against Ronald Reagan.

This guy was treatedlike a foreign policy guru by the Bush adminstration that got America into a prolonged war in the Middle East.

“He calls himself a conservative but supports abortion.”

Isn’t it odd how the definition of conservative has morphed into anti-choice? Back when I was a Republican, I felt it meant being frugal and financially responsible. But the 8 years of Bush “conservatism” rendered our country nearly bankrupt through deregulations and the war in Iraq based upon WMD that did not exist and had nothing to do with the attack on 9/11.

I gladly left the Republican Party over 25 years ago when it was hi-jacked by the anti-choice fundie terrorists. I look upon the racist bigots who call themselves the Tea Party with the same disdain I had for protesters who spat upon our returning Vietnam Vets.

        • Anti-idiot Granpa

Shut up. There’s just nothing I can say to you except that. Perhaps I could admonish you for your absurd idiocy for comparing the Tea Party to those despicable people who spat on returning marines and soldiers, but that would take more self-control than I can muster at your pathetic passage here.

Not to mention the idiocy of your “leaving the Republican Party”. You left the GOP because of ONE SINGLE ISSUE to go… where? The Democrats? You’d really be an idiot if you thought the Democrats were going to do one goddamn thing to help conservatism. Libertarian Party? Don’t make me laugh. They couldn’t win an election to save their asses. They are the worst thing to happen to conservatism since the Roosevelts were elected.

In conclusion: Shut up, you f*cking idiot. Take it from a Vietnam vet.

“I’d take his analysis on anything over her’s.”
      Ummm….

I guess you accepted CK’s analysis when he chastised Palin for not supporting Cap & Trade Mike Castle for Senate. The same Mike Castle who just voted for that Dream Act. CK is right on a lot thing. But he was dead wrong on Castle and he’s dead wrong on Palin. He’s either woefully ignorant of Palin’s conservative record as an executive or he’s just unwilling to see it. Oh and by the way, CK and former speech writer for Walter Mondale was also very wrong in his analysis of Ronald Reagan when he was president.
CK: ‘Reagan’s reasons for changing his mind about Gorbachev were “ignorant and pathetic” columnist Charles Krauthammer wrote. He added that no one should be surprised that Reagan had lost his head because “it was never weighted down with too many ideas to begin with.”’

    • Krathammer is a neocon, not a conservative. He is fiscally conservative and a hawk because of Israel, but on virtually everything else he either embraces moderate or liberal positions.

Krathammer also is a creature of the Beltway who believes we peons should listen to our betters (Ivy League grads). I doubt if Krathammer has spoken with a middle class American from Ohio or Kansas in ten years nor does he care to.

The more the Palin people fall and fawn all over her, the more it turns
          everybody off.

I am from the conservative school of though that you should DOUBT EVERYTHING
you hear from a politician. This would include Sarah Palin.

Some of you Palin people seem to give as much weight to her words as the

Exactly. It’s as if some think they have to pick a celebrity like Obama to win. The country wanted celebrity in 2008. In 2012 I think people are going to want everything Obama isn’t.

Palin is still fighting, so it should be obvious that she didn’t ‘quit’. ‘Quitting’ is what General Lee did at Appomattox. Palin shifted her position, found the enemy flank, and renewed her attack. Her resignation of the governor’s office was brilliant strategy, very much like Admiral Spruance’s turn east the night after Midway.

I would expect the leader of the free world to be beyond pop- political
            books.

What would people think of a potential president of the American
Psychological Association who claimed his favorite book was written by Dr.
            Laura?

Or a candidate for Director of the FBI claims his favorite books are from

Levin is a constitutional scholar and former lawyer who worked in the Reagan administration…not a former anchor for sportscenter on ESPN. Don’t compare that man to Olbermann.

You have just won an award for "The Dumbest Man on the Forummmmmmmm"

Levin's book is encyclopedic in nature. It is obvious you are too ignorant to have opened it or to begin to understand John Locke, and others, who the Framers studied in depth to make sure an Obama is either arrested or shown the door as quickly as possible. The greatest threat to this nation is ignorance. And with that, comes those who elected an ignorant president. I am not a lawyer so I could not debate Obummer on a topic in the legal system, but he would surely lie anyway. But there is NO topic Obama could debate me on. NONE! Unless it is the inner working of subversive meetings regarding the Constitution. Stupid does not win against a scholarly individual using the truth. It would be very hard for me to hold my own against Mark Levin as he is a national treasure. Obama would be begging for TOTUS if he debated Levin and his political career would be over. We have the biggest incompetent, lying piece of crap to ever have resided in the Oval Office. And when you toss Bill Clinton in, that's saying something. But at least Clinton became a better conservative than Bush to stay alive.

Levin = pop-political?…You might as well have raised your hand and said, "Hi, my name is Stoopid".

It is unbelievable that people still do not have any respect for a true conservative. I grow tired of people suggesting she isnt presidential enough. Tell me how she could not beat Obama? “the squishy middle doesn’t like her”

The squishy middle are so-called squishy middle because they are flip-floppers. They have no conviction, no loyalty and vote according to their mood, wallet and timing. The GOP nominate the most moderate candidate in 1992, 1996 and 2008. Yet the squishy middle rejected them and swarmed to Obama. These squishy middel had betrayed their moderate GOP candidate in 1992, 1996 and 2008, they will betray the GOP again in 2012 even if they were to nominate their dream moderate candidate.

Sarah Palin is a great fund raiser as well as every man’s sexual dream of, “Some girl who’ll thrill me, and then go away”. But if she were to debate Bush for 30 minutes I think the room would be mostly asleep.

Being a conservative thinking, “God, Guns, and Guts” type of conservative is great. I endorse it strenuously. However, she is not very deep, she is not a great thinker, and she has gotten here on her looks. Had Geraldine Ferraro said her words then maybe, in the right district, she could become a congresswoman.

I’d have taken her over this Thugocracy led by Chairman Mobama in a moment, but that’s it. We are coming to nothing less than the end of empire. I don’t know if there is anyone out there who can begin to cure the ills foisted upon us by 40 years of a democrat congress with complicit republicans. I do know that not only is Sarah Palin not “The One”. but that she will guarantee us phase 2 of American fascist wins in 2012.

She is almost as much a media creation as Obummer. We have had a string of 4 weak presidents who have all sucked, as well as sucked the life-blood out of America. We need a statesman who will be able to lead and tear his/her two opponents apart, that being the democratic party of Marx and the Marxist media. Putting Palin on a ticket again is Bob Dole II.

I know someone who worked in the Reagan administration but only was in a room with him a few times. What he observed in the WH is that each day, the presidency requires someone made of steel as the decisions made are quite difficult ones. She does not have the intellect or the experience to make them. Sooner or later she will be Dan Quayle to the media and then it’s 4 years of mocking her, which is one of the best way an opponent of a nation can destroy it from within. Jim DeMint would be a better candidate along with the colonel who just won a congressional seat in Florida. We don’t need banal lectures from a pretty hot chick who would not be listened to if she looked like Bella Abzug.. She is political eye candy after little girls had only the likes of Hillary Clinton to see as breaking the s0-called glass ceiling. She gives a fair, but quite lacking, speech and has a great package to deliver it from. “M” to James Bond 007 she is not. I’d rather see Ted Nugent run on a VP ticket. If Sarah Palin runs, she will harm the party. And the republican party is all this constitutional conservative, 24/7 gun carrying male has to vote for. Please don’t make some of us vote to keep the other guy out as she has no solutions for a problem that might not have an answer.

America has a problem Solzhenitsyn spoke of him his 6 page address to Harvard in 1978 that is available online. It’s one of the greatest speeches ever given on our shores. There might be a miracle out there, but his was a greater mind than mine and he didn’t see it. Sarah Palin surely isn’t it.

      • WSJ Editorial page editor Paul Gigot said Gov. Palin “has demonstrated a sophisticated understanding of monetary policy” in this Opinion Journal Video broadcast November 9, 2010. Columnist Daniel Henninger harkened back to Gov. Palin’s first Washington Speakers Bureau speech delivered in Hong Kong, in which “she correctly analyzed the causes of the financial crisis, the government causes, including easy credit from the Fed. This is a consistent message for her. This speech is not something out of the blue.”

She read words put together by her with at a team (at best) and THAT makes her exhibit a sound understanding of a topic? She runs, Obama wins. And I don’t like communists as my president.

Charles Krauthammer is right. Sarah Palin is totally unPresidential for inviting the Gosselins to her show.

Compared that to the highly Presidential Obamas. Instead of bringing those Gosselins trash to the White House, the highly civilised Obamas invited the Iron Chefs to the White House for their reality show. The highly cultured, highly Presidential President Obama showcase the ordinary Americans the lifestyle of the Rich and Famous. By inviting the Iron Chefs, ordinary Americans can see the culture, style and quality of lavish dining and fine wining, scenes that ordinary Americans can only smell and lick in their dreams.

President Obama has better taste, class, style and standard than that Wasilly Hillbilly. He would never allow those Kate Gosselin and her 8 stinking trash to enter and disgrace the well-polished, well-maintained, well-designed White House. Only people with high social status are allowed to step into the White House. Low-class people like the Palins and Gosselins will only dirty the garden and house which Mrs Obama has spent so much time, energy and money to build, renovate and decorate.

Little people are not allowed to particpate the Presidential President Obama reality show. It is for Iron Chefs only.

  • ProChoiceGrandma

If Sarah is such a self-reliant independent feminist, then why was Todd, the Shadow Governor, always sitting in on meetings in her office and copied on all emails regarding Alaskan government? Do the wives of male governors do that??

Sarah has been groomed by Assembly of God evangelical fundies since she was 24, the crazy Mary Glazier has been her mentor for many years, and the even crazier Kenyan witch hunter, Pastor Thomas Muthee, anointed her to become governor.
Until Sarah Palin came along, I was totally unaware of the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) and their quest for world domination by means of the Seven Mountains. Sarah Palin has never been able to do anything on her own – she had to hire someone to do the work for her while she was Mayor of a dump little town of less than 7,000. Her only talent lies in her ability to LIE, wink and give wide open-mouth smiles, with a sexy little flick of the tongue. I would say she is a master of deceit, but that is giving her too much credit, because she has done such a lousy job of covering up her lies that her handlers are constantly having to enlist experts to scrub pictures and bury past and present indiscretions. Her $100K speeches are denied access by the press because she gives the same lame speech each time, and only permits pre-screened questions so she can rehearse the response written for her by others.

I can thank Sarah Palin for one thing – I owe her for scaring the hell out of me to pay much closer attention to politics and the evil minds who would promote such an empty vessel to national office, again.

Check out the side bar at Palingates: Abortiongate, Babygate, Religiongate, her crazy college days, etc. There is a vast warehouse of information on Sarah Palin.

I always want to emphasize this one factor: John McCain won the Republican nomination on 3-4-08. Sarah Palin announced she was 7 months pregnant the very next day, 3-5-08. She had to wait until McCain won before she decided to embark on her version of the faked pregnancy from the 2007 episodes of Desperate Housewives.

    • Anonymous

Hey Pro-Choice-Granny….gone down and shaken the hands of any young girls who left dead babies inside a dumpster lately?

Obama has to be a Muslim for what he did three times in denying a failed
abortion the right to try to survive can’t make him any type of Christian.

You claim you are a granny…so you let your kids (at least some of them) live. How FKN kind of you…you slaughtering pig of a woman! Note, I didn’t say a mother. You have to earn that title by teaching your children right from wrong. And teaching them that murder is merely a choice puts you right up there with Sanger, the Nazis, and the eugenics movement. You must be proud. Enjoy Christmas. 45 million children you killed will not ever have the chance.

Krauthammer is just one on a long list trying to sabotage Sarah Palin’s Presidential run. That’s all it is. Krauthammer should be fired from Fox News. He’s not “balanced.”

    • Anonymous

Fire him for a view we don’t like?

      • Anonymous

It’s a view that is incorrect. He’s wrong. He just wants to paint Palin as something she is not.

He’s a terrible political analyst. Krauthammer just needs to come out and be honest and say,… “I don’t like her. She’s a hick. She’s uneducated. She doesn’t come from the right neighborhood”… or whatever, but he needs to be honest. That’s why I would not renew his contract. I just think there are better qualified people than Krauthammer if you want honest accurate political analysis.

hehe therightscoop says she’s going rogue. That really worked out well for her in her last election, didn’t it?

honestingov and ProChoiceGrandma, listen, you need to post under different names and not on your accounts. Those things can be quite telling. It’s utterly impossible, and I do mean impossible, for me to take ANYONE seriously who visit Mother Jones and Think Progress on a regular basis.

Even more, it’s stunning that both of you have an insane amount of posts at palingates.com. It’s as if you both came here to do nothing but cause trouble and as if it was coordinated. Odd.

    • Anonymous

We’ve had people from palingates on here before. They are wasting their time posting on here. They should stay on sites where people are nothing but sheep and give a damn what they have to say.
I personally don’t want Sarah to run. I like the way she keeps upsetting the good old boys applecart. That probably is the greatest fear of these Palin bashers. It’s best to ignore these people just as they ignore the truth.

      • Cheryl~

It is OK to say things other than, ‘Sarah is great’…it is good to hear other opinions or thoughts as it will not only sharpen your own views but get you to consider other’s viewpoints or insights! You must be open to hearing all sides before forming your own opinions…don’t you think?

        • Anonymous

If their only reason for being on here is to promote their hatred of Palin, then no. I am open to all sides, but I look at motives. I have every Glenn Beck show for past 14 months, 150 Ed Schultz shows, over 200 Obama speeches, Every White House press briefing in past year. Thousands of political you tube videos.
Yes, I look at both sides, but I don’t need to hear propaganda from palinhate. I do my own research and I do a lot of it. I have plenty time even tho Obama keeps trying to convince us things are better.

          • Cheryl~

Like I said to Rich I don’t think most people HATE her as much as they “hold her to” the Christian principles she professes(as the world does to ALL Christians that are bold with their faith) and they “look” for inconsistences and she isn’t perfect and the press pounces on that as do others.

I just think she hasn’t the depth to be President( but I am not so sure we pick our presidents or the press does!) and IF you will LISTEN to her speak…go beyond her BEAUTY and LISTEN to her speak you will hear she really says the same thing over and over and speaks in vague generalities…I am not saying she doesn’t believe those things it is just that I think she “wings” it with the talking points and will “figure it out later.” To me she is the same old Republican even though her words don’t sound like she is, her actions for the most part demonstrate that weakness to me.

            • Anonymous

You are at least the second person to mention Sarah’s looks.

ChosiinResovoir ] 1 day ago in reply to Johnschaffran
Sarah Palin is a great fund raiser as well as every man’s sexual dream of, “Some girl who’ll thrill me, and then go away”.

Then you said ” go beyond her BEAUTY and LISTEN to her speak ‘.

Strange how we don’t mention a man’s looks in this political arena.

              Isn’t that a double standard?

No, I don’t believe she is the same old Republican just as I don’t call you the same old Liberal.

              • Anonymous

I don’t look at men and think of whether they are good looking, or not. Although I do think Obama is one ugly representation of a half-black man.

                >>No, I don’t believe she is the same old Republican just as I don’t call you the same old Liberal.<<

One would need to be an ass to call me a liberal. I spent 2 years producing an extraordinarily conservative talk radio show (host was at one time listed as one of the top 100 conservative talkers and there are many shows) where I guess my platform bled into the show and got the guy fired as they feared how conservative the host and I were. He is back in radio in a major city. I chose not to move.

                • Anonymous

I wasn’t calling you a liberal. If you notice, that whole comment was directed toward Cheryl. I only mentioned your comment ” every man’s sexual dream of, “.
It’s obvious from your comments that you are not a liberal, but why do you have to bring up Sarah being every man’s sexual dream? I like Sarah because she’s goes after the good old boys.

As to Cheryl being a liberal, I’m not sure.

                • Anonymous

My point is that without being “boxed” as she has been because of her looks, no one would listen to her at more than a PTA meeting or perhaps a small City Council meeting. And I fear that just like McCain had an operative in his camp who resigned late in the game, they are pushing her as a viable candidate for the left to remain in power as the majority of men, and women, I know have stated exactly what I have: “If she is on the ticket again we are finished”. It is not that they do not like her. It is not that they think she is a bad person. It is that they think rightly that she is unbelievably unqualified and that she was on McCain’s ticket was absurd. God forbid the likes of a Jean Kirkpatrick is selected. As I said, she is not James Bond’s “M”.

The left owns the press because even Mark Halperin of ABC said the media is biasted as journalism school graduates 90% of students as liberals. My sister went to NYU’s Journalism school. She graduated in 1981 and said there wasn’t a hint of politics in her classes. That is how quickly they were taken over. Now your best answer as to why you want to be a journalist is, “to make a difference”, and that means tilting stories their way. Palin may be strong enough to hear what is stated, but people are sheeple and enough will run away and republicans will sit home in numbers large enough to let the guy who now gets Bill Clinton his coffee back into office again. I’ll bet Clinton wishes he could tell Dead Ted now that he was right and that he’d be serving him coffee were it not for certain people pushing Obummer into this position. We are so screwed.

President James Garfield a decade after the Civil War:

“Now more than ever before, the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature…. If the next centennial does not find us a great nation … it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.”

We were poor stewards of our freedom, and therefore it is slipping away. You should read that Solzhenitsyn piece and see that he saw in in 1978.

                • Anonymous

If the Solzhenitsyn piece you are talking about is “A World Split Apart” at Harvard, I have it as a pdf file. As far as Sarah being on McCain ticket,McCain was a better choice than Obama, anyone would be better, but McCain is a closet progressive. I voted for McCain because I knew it would take him longer to accomplish what Obama has done.
As far as the press, you are correct about them being left. The other problem is people like my sister and many others gets their news from The View and Joy Bahar show, two of the most biased shows on tv.

        • Rich

I agree we need to hear all sides, but just take a quick browse of palingates.com. It’s basically the equivalent of some truther or birther website (sorry to all of the truthers and birthers out there…but you are on the fringe). These two have THOUSANDS of posts at this website. They are the farthest of the far-left and yet they make up names like honestyingov and prochoicegrandma to hope that you identify with them and listen to their rants. I’d put 500$ down right now that ProChoiceGrandma isn’t a grandma, nor was he/she around during the Vietnam war, and if she/he was then he certainly did not dislike those who were spitting on soldiers graves. They make this stuff up so you look at them and say “Hey, that’s a person who shares some of my views, and they apparently have had an awakening about Palin. Maybe I should too.”

I’m not saying you can’t like Palin. I have my problems with her sometimes. However, I’m really not going to even give 2 seconds to people who are lying from the moment they step in.

          • Cheryl~

Well, that is your opinion…people speak with the same fervor about Obama-I doubt that most people HATE him, they just decry his policies, etc…same with Palin-many like her for the “image” she represents others despise that “image” and others think she has little depth to her…

When I listen to Sirius radio-I for the most part listen to Patriot or Fox (when I am not listening to music) but every now and then I will listen to Sirius Left and the only reason I don’t listen to them more is because they can use a lot of bad language and I have a 9 year old with me ALL the time…BUT the left says the SAME thing about the RIGHT as the RIGHT says about the LEFT-it is funny sometimes how both sides say the same thing but “see it” completely opposite…amazing!

I loved her reaction to CK. One thing about Sarah Palin is that she certainly knows how to handle Bill O’Reilly. She knows that CK is pretty much the only person who intimidates Bill and how much Bill can’t stand being intimidated. Bill loves to think of himself as one of “the folks” so her hoity-toity hit at CK was for Bill’s benefit. Which, predictably, he ate right up.

I have a lot of respect for Charles Krauthammer. He was the first conservative writer I took seriously. But nobody is perfect, and he is just as guilty as every other pundit out there who makes their living on these shows. He knows he has to play nice with whatever dumb liberal is spouting off next to him on his various panel appearances, and he knows a good sound bite against any conservative will get him attention. So he plays the game just like the rest of them do. Barack Obama is brilliant and Palin needs to study. Yeah, we know, Charles.

Sarah shows the elitist, academic Harvard grad’s how to live in the real world!

  • Pgilles

I hate to say it, but I don’t want her to be our next president. I like her heart, I like her positions on most things, but she just seems like a broken record, and something about her delivery just seems fake..I want to see someone a bit more serious, like Newt, possibly even “nutty” ol Ron Paul. Jindel would be a good choice too. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but when I hear her talk it is like fingernails on a chalk board..and I know what she is going to say before she says it, never seems like she has concrete answers just platitudes…I would vote for her if she gets the nomination, but I don’t think I would listen to any of her speaches…..Give me Malkin!!!! send Sarah to the UN! that would be a hoot

  • What I love most about Palin, she doesn’t care what you think.

    • Hmstrtch

I agree. Some people here only seem to know what they think pending the next poll. Some guy earlier was complaining about the “irrational exuberance” for Palin. Well I say these days just being normal is something to be exuberant about.
