Paul Ryan did an interview in Michigan yesterday but it ended abruptly as the reporter got snarky at the end. The reporter asked if the US has a gun problem, and Ryan answered by saying no. When pressed, he talked about the solution to inner city violence is to encourage opportunity, discipline, and good character via the civil society.
The reporter then responded “and you can do all that by cutting taxes, with a big tax cut?” Ryan said “those are your words, not mine” and then ended the interview.
As he was pulling off his mic, Ryan told the reporter “That was kind of strange…you’re trying to stuff words in people’s mouths.”
