Paul Ryan weighed in on the Sessions story this morning in his press conference, saying that there’s still no evidence that the Trump campaign had any involvement with the Russian government and that now Democrats are lighting their hair on fire to get the media to cover the Sessions story with the Russian Ambassador:

In his initial answer to a question about this he echoed similar thoughts and also that of course Sessions would recuse himself if he were the subject of an investigation:

I’m happy that Ryan spoke out on this and defended Sessions, at least partially, from the attacks being lobbed at him and didn’t add to the phony hysteria, but rather called it out as well.
