I don’t know why he bothered. You can’t explain simple facts to those liberal sheep. They just hump obama’s leg and pay no attention to what is really happening to the country.

    • RighteousCrow_JustCaws

The conservative members of Congress are enacting their plan to present their argument to the people using all available forms of media. The message is consistent, clear and transcends politics.

Finally…a strategy, and it’s a good one. This is how Reagan campaigned and finally won the Presidency.

      • TxGold

I just hope and pray that it works!

  • Yazz55

Why do folks like him continue to appear on the

    • PhillyCon

At best, they are going into the lions den to try and influence some of the clueless. At worst, they are clueless themselves and still think the MSM is “fair.”

      • mark1955

No. “At worst” is the repubs are lefties themselves and feel entirely to comfortable among msnbc and their viewers. Given the repubs caving ( Collaborating ) on virtually everything Obama ( Rockefeller/Rotschild ) wants, i’d say that is more likely. Paul Ryan is just pretending to sound Conservative today…Don’t fall for it!

  • Conservative_Hippie

It’s telling that the only one smiling during the intereview is Paul Ryan! Poor libs they always seem irritated about something. They all need hugs…really really big bear hugs that squeeze the marxism out of them! Maybe then they might smile occasionally 🙂

    • Rshill7

      You rang?

      Hey Joe, Mika…c’mere a minute!

      • Conservative_Hippie

        LOL, yep!

    • PhillyCon

The reason they are not smiling is b/c a differing viewpoint is akin to a vampire and garlic. This is on all the shows (even the View) where there is someone saying something non-liberal (not even conservative per se) and you can see them wince.

      • Conservative_Hippie

        Ideological Bigotry.

        • PhillyCon

And Alinsky. They care b/c they are liberals. Anyone who disagrees is a fill in the blank.

    • OneThinDime

Or an appt with a protologist!

  • Conservative_Hippie

Funny how they have Paul Ryan on to give the GOP side and then they have 3 Libs on afterwards to shoot it down. Nice fairness, LOL!

    • PhillyCon

Like I said below, they can’t handle differing opinions. They need their world view constantly reinforced.

      • ChesterWalton

Sounds like you are describing conservatives and liberals both.

        • PhillyCon

No, I am not. Conservatives are surrounded by liberal culture and politics every where they go. Liberals not so much.

Is there a conservative Hollywood? A conservative ESPN? A conservative MSM? A conservative public school system? Conservative governance? Is popular culture conservative?

  • PhillyCon

That picture of Patty Murray is horrendous.

  • PhillyCon

Mika: Oh no repeal of Obamacare! Gasp!

  • PhillyCon

Ryan takes liberal buzz words and premises and instead of refuting them … he co-opts them. I really like this communications strategy.

  • jdbaird

Why don’t they start the bargaining process from a position of ACTUALLY CUTTING SPENDING?!?

  • shadetree56

how do you find “common ground” with a socialist potus?

  • deTocqueville1

I am sorry but the more he explains it the less sense he makes. He is not dealing at all with the heavy lifting stuff and the whole presentation is more artifice than substance. I urge folks to read his proposal, at least the main points. I see it as very weak and so he will undergo relentless attack for a position that does little to deal with the mess of federal finances. How does that help the conservative cause in any way, shape or form?

  • Longiron

This guy voted for the CR that funded Obamacare. He could have tried to stop it even if he failed. Mouthpiece for the establishment RINO party. Anything he say’s is all BS now . Typical politician watch how they VOTE not what they say !!!!!

  • i can’t stand to see or hear Paul Ryan…. when we were at our lowest after last nov, where was he? voting w/ the establishment rinos. i even skipped the Levin segment you posted Scoop bc i just don’t like the guy. i defending him when running as veep from the Ron Paul crowd, and he burned me.

Why did Ryan go on Morning Joe today? Below is a video of Joe stating that the President should get accolades for going up to the hill and battle those right-wing extremist:

    Video link –

In fact, as I was flipping stations this morning I heard Joe using Valerie Jarrett’s name, Senior Advisor to the President, as a reference regarding Paul Ryan’s budget and going to the Hill today.

IMO, he’s the worst MSNBC host because while claiming to be a small government conservative, he often finds a way to trash conservatives with his progressive panelists and co-hosts who support Team Obama on virtually all issues.

  • garyinaz66

all you need to know is the ryan budget says it will defund/repeal obamacare, but then he admits he wont get it or even fight for it. that renders it useless.

    the house has no courage

  • Well, good luck to Ryan. Obama and his minions in the Senate are only marking time until 2014, when they hope to re-take the House so that Obama can implement the rest of his socialist agenda. I will be absolutely stunned if they pass a real budget this year. Never going to happen, given what the Democrats in Congress want. Are you telling me that Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are going to go along with the repeal of Obamacare? Sure, when pigs fly.

  • awesome representation of conservative ideals, and if you think these ideals dont resonate even with an msnbc watcher, just listen to the respect even from micah…well done ryan!

  • great articulation of conservative principles, and if you think these ideals dont resonate even with an msnbc audience, have another look at the respect even from micah. great job ryan!

  • ApplePie101

It doesn’t matter what comes out of his mouth. All I pay attention to is his voting record, which has been a major disappointment.

    From Leave it to Beaver.

Ward: Dear, what is this check for 8.49? It hasn’t come back from the bank!
June: Well, I could not get the check book to balance, so I wrote a check for 8.49 and I tore it up.
Ward: Dear, they could use someone that thinks like you in Washington.

    • Ray

      Oh for zero sum budgeting.

  • JD Olson

Hmm..did they all take their meds on the MSNBC yesterday? That was a fairly non-hysterical, nutrient-dense discussion. Kudos to Paul Ryan who is ever the positive and intelligent realist.
