Paul Ryan: Obama dropped his veil with his ‘you didn’t build it’ comments

Paul Ryan tells CNBC that Romney did not twist the president’s words but rather the president dropped his veil and exposed the true identity of his political philosophy of a government-centered society:

Also, on the same topic, here is Romney’s latest version of “These Hands”:

Right on, Rep. Ryan! Obama continues to drop his veil exposing and confirming what all of us already know,he’s a Marxist!

  • Paul Ryan is RIGHT! What’s to twist? You heard it out of the braying donkey’s (libtard) own mouth himself. That was the TRUTH… What we’re hearing now is total Political SPIN and BS. The veil of the teleprompter was removed and we all saw the pathetic excuse of a Socialist’s mask slip away and show it’s true, demonic, form. No amount of Liberal spin can hide that fact.

  • Arrrggghhh

We need more people in government with he same clear thinking as Mr. Ryan who recognize that it’s We the People that made this country great – NOT the government.

I hope he has a very short and successful career in government and is succeeded by many more like him.

  • Sandra123456

The veil was dropped and the socialist/communist emerged. All Hail Obama, the wanna be Dictator of America.

( Remember sign up for your choice of communes before Nov 6th or the Government will appoint you to one. )

    • Conservative_Hippie

      LOL! Nice one 🙂

  • odin147

I guess the one would decommision the roads and bridges if does not get his tax increase on the successful.

  • BSScoop

Hussein’s comment is just as bad either way. The two options…

    1. ‘You didn’t build that’ implies the business (righty view). Obvious problem and the Kenyan knows it, that’s why he’s back peddling.

    2. ‘You didn’t build that’ implying the roads and bridges mentioned earlier in his fragmented sentence. He’s implying that business didn’t build them except that the tax money did! Which comes from where? Businesses of course.

By siding with option two, he’s exposed himself as someone who feels that government coffers are entitled to private money. Also, this implies the common lefty misconception that all tax money is identical. Roads and bridges aren’t paid by federal taxes (except interstates, earmarks, and stimulous packages). The overwhelming majority of road money is state and local. So what is he actually arguing anyway? It’s factually incorrect, even if you believe in the philosophy he preaches.

    Untangling Leftist drivle is exhausting.

    Don’t Tread On Me

    • NYGino

Exhausting it is BSScoop, treat yourself to a cool iced tea, you’ve earned it.

Love Paul Ryan! One of the few sane voices in Washington.

Obama is a monster… the sooner America realizes that, the sooner we can slay the dragon (non-violently).

My wife and I had a brief conversation – here’s a summary. I’ve been having an extremely difficult time with the stupidity of Americans who will vote for Obama (again?) in 2012. He is a proven failure in almost every single meaningful measure. And yet they embrace him.

So my wife and I boiled it down to this: God is in control. Satan is gaining influence in the world and twisting the minds of man. This will lead to the return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Satan knows this and strives to keep mankind blind and distracted, causing as much pain to God’s creation as he can (especially Christians). The bible and God say that this will happen (that bad becomes good and good becomes bad and that Christians will be persecuted for their faith). So if we can look at this in it’s proper light… that it’s exciting to see bible prophecy and God’s promise come to pass right before our eyes and remember that the Lord is in control and has already won the victory (and have we if we’re saved)… then that softens the blow of seeing this evil and corruption so rampant in our country and the world. It’s part of the plan.

I find comfort in that perspective and hope you do too. I hate to see my beloved country being destroyed in such an avoidable way and I don’t think it’s too late to turn this thing around… but even if this devil (Obama) wins re-election, there’s comfort in knowing that God is in control.

    Sorry for the soapbox.

When I think of Christ’s return to earth, I think of Him returningn ot to a greecian-like amphitheater filled with a million screaming fans waving flags and weeping hysterically, but rather as a silent return, in the early morning hours, to the hearts of men and women, like you and Mrs. Sober.

In your case, I suspect He had never left. Thank you for keeping Him with us.

      • Very nice post… Christ be with us all in these trying times! For we are surrounded by demons!

      • Sober_Thinking

        I appreciate your response. 🙂

    • Nothing to be sorry for my friend.

St. Patrick’s Breastplate prayer is a great way of focusing the mind, protecting the soul and praising God:

      I bind unto myself today
The strong Name of the Trinity,
      By invocation of the same
The Three in One and One in Three.

I bind this today to me forever
      By power of faith, Christ’s incarnation;
      His baptism in Jordan river,
      His death on Cross for my salvation;
His bursting from the spicèd tomb,
His riding up the heavenly way,
His coming at the day of doom
      I bind unto myself today.

I bind unto myself the power
      Of the great love of cherubim;
The sweet ‘Well done’ in judgment hour,
      The service of the seraphim,
      Confessors’ faith, Apostles’ word,
The Patriarchs’ prayers, the prophets’ scrolls,
All good deeds done unto the Lord
      And purity of virgin souls.

      I bind unto myself today
The virtues of the star lit heaven,
The glorious sun’s life giving ray,
The whiteness of the moon at even,
The flashing of the lightning free,
      The whirling wind’s tempestuous shocks,
The stable earth, the deep salt sea
      Around the old eternal rocks.

      I bind unto myself today
The power of God to hold and lead,
His eye to watch, His might to stay,
His ear to hearken to my need.
The wisdom of my God to teach,
      His hand to guide, His shield to ward;
The word of God to give me speech,
His heavenly host to be my guard.

Against the demon snares of sin,
The vice that gives temptation force,
The natural lusts that war within,
      The hostile men that mar my course;
Or few or many, far or nigh,
In every place and in all hours,
      Against their fierce hostility
I bind to me these holy powers.

Against all Satan’s spells and wiles,
      Against false words of heresy,
      Against the knowledge that defiles,
      Against the heart’s idolatry,
      Against the wizard’s evil craft,
Against the death wound and the burning,
The choking wave, the poisoned shaft,
Protect me, Christ, till Thy returning.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

I bind unto myself the Name,
The strong Name of the Trinity,
      By invocation of the same,
The Three in One and One in Three.
By Whom all nature hath creation,
      Eternal Father, Spirit, Word
Praise to the Lord of my salvation,
Salvation is of Christ the Lord.

      • Sober_Thinking

Wow! That’s cool and inspirational! 🙂

        • You’re most welcome! This prayer has gotten me through many a dark hour. May it help you or anyone else who says/prays it as much as it has helped me. God bless!

( I was concerned about the length, and hoped I wasn’t flagged for posting it and have to see it removed by a moderator… It’s such a lovely prayer… It just deserves to be posted in full. )

          • Sober_Thinking

After reading it twice, it reminds me of Psalms. Honestly, not to sound whimpy, it brought tears to my eyes. Again, thank you… it’s beautiful!

            • Don’t thank me… Thank Saint Patrick! 😉 And no… Not with green beer or plastic shamrocks! 😉

    • Siobhan7

As a Catholic I would like to share another view. I don’t know if you ever heard about the alleged vision given to Pope Leo XIII on October 13, 1884, exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great Miracle of the Sun in Fatima in 1917. The story is that Satan challenged the Lord that if given enough time and more power given to those who would serve him, he could destroy His Church. Purportedly, the Lord agreed and gave him 100 years to do so. The question is when did the clock start ticking? Many people believe it was indeed 1917 which means this terrible era will end in 2017. Therefore, expect an intensification of evil and persecution of Christians worldwide because the evil one knows his time is running out. What is coming is the “Era of Peace” promised by Our Lady at Fatima and a new Pentecost that will renew the face of the earth and the Eucharistic Reign of Our Lord. This is the powerful prayer to St. Michael that was composed by Pope Leo in response to his vision:

      St. Michael the Archangel,
      defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
      and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
      by the power of God,
      thrust into hell Satan,
      and all the evil spirits,
      who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Let us all pray together for Satan’s certain defeat.

      • Sober_Thinking

Thank you for your post. Prayer and God’s word are 100% effective against the devil. I hope we wield them often. 🙂

    • Mmmm. Too early. I got stuff to do.

But I appreciate the sentiment anyway. I don’t fight the will of God.

  • WordsFailMe

The term “drop his veil,” has become a cliche and really had been out of style since Valentino died.

The current form of the observation is, “He lifted his burka.”

    • ROTFL!! 🙂

    • Sandra123456

Yes! We have a winner! “He lifted his burka.” Love it!

    • NYGino

WFM, You tied the Impostor up in his own words real tight and tidy. Neatly done.

    • *mental image requiring brain bleach*

      Ahh, that’s better.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Both videos were spot-on. Paul Ryan hit the mark when he said obama dropped his veil and spouted his true philosophy about government and business…”You didn’t build that.” And Joe Dutra is an example of someone who built their own business through long hours and hard work. So Joe Dutra DID BUILD IT, not the government.

  • sjmom

Given time, the truth will always be known. Peoplle, though they try, cannot hide their true intent forever and Obama has now exposed his political philosphy. The spin by his staff sounds more and more hollow with each presidential comment because the truth about Barack Hussein Obama is now being exposed and I give the glory to God for it.

  • Landscaper59

Articulate Paul Ryan puts it nicely. I built my small landscape business and of course pay my taxes, fees, license. No one in gov. has dug one hole, set one shub but they sure as hell will show up on jobs ready to write out a fine. My jobs and work are legit so they look and walk away. 🙁 No fines here, next time?

  • This man needs to be Vice President. He’s smart, articulate, and as conservative as they come. Good for him. Ryan would also make Biden look like a fool in a debate, which would really be worth seeing.

    • Landscaper59

      …. easy to do.

  • johnos2112

Three people for VP. Ryan, West and Rubio.

    • Rubio (easy there Keyesforpresident! 🙂 ) West and Ryan!

    • Just West, thanks.

  • I agree Rubio, West or Ryan. GOP must win FLA to win and if they get Wisconsin and Iowa no way Obama wins again. Enough with the pussyfooting…. Obama believes in a Gov’t centered society….. yea it’s called Marxism.

    • anyonebutbarry2012

rubio is a rino that is Jeb’s guy

  • G_unitttt

“dropped his veil”…..or dropped his hijab

  • anyonebutbarry2012

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who has said for months that he wants to see Mitt Romney choose Marco Rubio as his running mate, recently had the opportunity to share his thoughts with Romney directly.
Bush said he met with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee and urged him to choose Rubio, the Associated Press reports:
TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush thinks Sen. Marco Rubio is ready to be vice president and he shared those thoughts with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, he said Wednesday.
Bush said he has been a huge fan of Rubio’s for years and hopes that Romney chooses him. He said he made his pitch to Romney in a recent conversation, but the former Massachusetts governor didn’t reveal which direction he was leaning. Bush said the choice is a personal one and respects Romney for keeping his thoughts close to his vest.
Romney has acknowledged that his campaign is vetting Rubio for the No. 2 spot.

    rubio is a rino.

    • Not qualified either if I’m informed correctly.. SHAME!! I wanted him for Veep too.

      • anyonebutbarry2012

He is not a awful person, but as time has gone he has exhibited rino ways, having Jeb pushing him. does not help. jmo. I am a West fan myself, like ryan, DeMint. There are some good one’s out there , we need them in the senate too.

    • proudhispanicconservative

I was a big fan of Rubio but after hearing him backing the rinos with their attacks on Bachman I am not so sure he is a real conservative instead he is slowly converting to another rino, and the fact that he is being backed by a Bush guy gives me great concern.

      • pdxlady

I agree with you phc, I was a fan of Rubio as well. However, I cannot forgive him for throwning Michele Bachmann under the bus. (
That did it for me. Rubio’s a squish…just another go along to get along RINO, controlled by the Bushes. (Plus, I ran across a youtube video about Rubio that gave me another point of view about him, I don’t advocate for the youtube speaker…he’s a little out there, but he has practical experience in that he ran against Rubio in a Florida election.)

I think it has been wise for Romney to wait to reveal his pick for VP as it gives time for the candidates to be self-vetted by us when they make such revealing statements as Rubio has.

Paul Ryan looks to me to be the best pick for VP. He is so intelligent, and he doesn’t ‘appear’ to be corrupted by the glittering power goal as some of the other ‘Young Guns’ seem to be…i.e., Cantor, Kevin McCarthy.

I wanted Allen West, but that would be too dramatic for Romney; and West will be useful where he is…just move him to a more powerful position, say Speaker!

        • proudhispanicconservative

Right on with West im so pissed off with the way these rinos dont embrace great people like West

    • Yeah, let’s keep the Bush faction in power. That has worked out nicely to make sure “Republican” means “big government.” Juuuuust what we need.

  • Nukeman60

The gift that keeps on giving. Today, Obama came out with a new ad proclaiming, “You did build that” in an attempt, once again, to deflect what’s hitting the fan for him. The fact that even Obama’s campaign can’t let this gaffe go shows how powerful it is and every time they return to it, it gets stronger and stronger.

I’m thinking we can have dueling ads now – one in which Obama says “oh, no you didn’t build that” and one in which he says, “Oh, yes you did”. Should be hilarious and at the same time destructive.

BTW, the Kimmie candy company better get ready for some serious auditing coming up. It’s the Chicago way.

  • 911Infidel

Paul Ryan is right of course. Not off-topic, but I heard a woman on the radio the other day describing BHO as a “sociopath”. After listening to her definition of a sociopath, I was struck with how many of the sociopath characteristics that BHO actually has. Check it out for yourself and see if that woman doesn’t have a good point:

    • Well, if I recall correctly, Narcissim is a branch of sociopathy. He’s at least Narcy if not Soc-p.

      • wodiej

I believe you are correct. I know someone who has narcissistic personality disorder and the traits are the same as described for a sociopath.

      • 911Infidel

They have much in common. The sociopath does have a criminal tendency which Obama certainly does. You could say that Obama is a “malignant narcissist”. The sociopath has no need to be validated by others, but the narcissist does. Yet the two have so much in common. Maybe that’s why he likes Islam so much. Mo and BHO have much in common.

        • I really hate like h*ll to agree with that, but I’m forced to, by Obama’s callous disregard for the truth, for law, and for people, coupled with the immense volume of “I”, “me”, and “my” references in his public speaking.

What a waste of an opportunity for black Americans by this fool. The one good thing I can see about that is that he’s set the bar so freaking low for any “minority” occupying the Oval Office, that there’s ZERO reason for any American—regardless of genetic heritage—to fear running for President.

          • 911Infidel

  • Remember when Newt smacked down Maria in one debate.? PRICELESS !

  • the only scraps left on the floor this November 2012 presidential election, should be the veiled democrats recovering from the smelling sauce furnished by the Tea Party Movement Of Americans who turned out to vote, and filled the voting booths nationwide to reject this jerk called obama and his crapdogs called czars.

2012 we the people win! America wins!!!

  • “You didn’t build that” seems to actually be picking up steam. There are more ads. More blog articles. More people talking about it. It’s even a joke now in private circles whenever someone accomplishes something. There are many variations, but it’s always sarcastic and against Obama’s comment.

  • Love this guy
