Paul Ryan’s not the first: Liberal media’s history of trashing GOP VP nominees

This is a great montage of the liberal media trashing GOP VP candidates going all the way back to 1988’s Dan Quayle and coming all the way to 2008’s Sarah Palin:

Oh boy, what a trip down memory lane, the more things change the more things remain the same. Better to be laughed at, made fun of, impugned, maligned, and slandered than to go through life a liberal.

    • CalCoolidge

That’s a short walk. They hatcheted Reagan twice, the man they called Tricky Dick three times, and Eisenhower tooo.

  • aquaviva

I hope they show this at the RNC convention.

Nothing – outside President Zero – fires up conservatives more than their HATRED, HATRED, HATRED of the media.

    • Joe

That is a wonderful idea !

  • Joe

    NOTHING will satisfy the left

Evil and mean spiritedness is ingrained in them

The MSM is an absolute disgrace

I think the “peoples” know this by now that’s why the press approval rating is in the toilet

That’s why CNN is in the toilet

That’s why the NY Times is going in toilet

Better build bigger SEWER LINES – I suspect more “crap” to go in the toilet
    (Get it? – More CRAP)

“That there is pretty funny – I don’t care who you are !” – Larry the cable guy

Let me say it again, Merriam Webster definition of superannuated: to make, declare, or prove obsolete or out-of-date.

Fifth estate (that’s us, on the internet) definition of obsolete:
Bob Schieffer, Bob Beckel, Brian Williams, Andrea Mitchell and all their miserable, lying cohorts from 1988 and earlier.
Good luck getting a gig after 2013, losers. Not.

Thank God they’re losing, yet, still the debates are to be held on enemy tv by enemy hacks. WTH??

      • Joe

        That’s it in a NUTshell!

  • sDee

A classic propaganda montage. Planting the seeds of intolerance.

  • 4Hoppes2

I can’t decide which ones are the most despicable, Peter Jennings, Mike Wallace, Dan Rather, or the newer crop of detestable blathering idiots.

    • Joe

      Why pick one ?

They all sleep in the same filthy bed!

      ——————————–You forgot Candy GROWLEY!

      • badbadlibs

Great point, Joe. “They all sleep in the same filthy bed”!

        • Joe

          Like COCKROACHES!

      • “I want” Candy Crowley is so gross.

  • welltempered2

“It’s all about a three letter word “jobs”, j-o-b-s.”

  • Paul Ryan just voted to cede the senate’s power to vet presidential czars to Obama. He also voted in favor of the NDAA, SOPA, TARP, and warrantless wiretapping. Just because the media is slapped with a liberal label doesn’t mean that they are always wrong. Do you realize that both Romney and Obama’s biggest donor is Goldman Sachs! They work for the same people and you can absolutely expect that Romney will finish what Obama started in ceding U.S. sovereignty to the U.N. and passing more legislation to justify throwing all of you in jail for no reason.

    • Nobody’s perfect, but Ryan’s a good person and pretty solid leader who’ll mop the floor with Biden.

I don’t think RP wants another Obama term.

    • CalCoolidge

I think I realize the everyone’s biggest donor is Goldman Sachs.

  • NYGino

“….if that doesn’t scare the hell out of you, it should…”

How about a real scare, Joe Biden or Al Gore as President. Now that’s scary!

    • stevenbiot

Joe Biden would be refreshing, compared to Obama. And that’s damn sad.

  • warpmine

Personally, I’m very intolerant…..of stupid people known as liberals or progressives as they sometimes like to be called. They propose government control meaning taking my liberty away and I become mean spirited but who in creation with a functioning brain can blame me.

    • I was thinking a lot of the same listening to this. Yeah I’m grumpy, and intolerant and a bigot and an SOB and a hobbit, and a homophobe and I’m anti everything according to these talented, honorable, trustworthy ,noble all loving tolerant talking heads.

      • NYGino

That’s why we love you ABC.

  • stevenbiot

The internet killed the mainstream media. Long live the internet!! Look at the ratings the mainstream get…pathetic.

  • Army_Pilot1967

Man, I haven’t seen that many LOSERS trotted out in a long, long time. NO, NO, not the VP candidates….all those loser hacks in the media!!!!! Man, what a bunch of losers. No wonder so few people watch tv news nowadays!

    • Joe

The CBC is coming up with “Ryan is a racist” strategy

      This is getting beyond pathetic

  • FreeManWalking

The MSM has never met a republican they couldn’t/didn’t smear with mud.

The more conservative the republican the bigger the rack of horns, or longer the claws… aka Momma Grizzly

  • Wow, there really is nothing new under the sun is there?? Well, I feel better about what they did to Palin after watching this….she is, at least, in good company.

  • PapaLouie

Dan Rather was the one who years ago opened my eyes to the fact that the main stream media are little more than cheerleaders for the left. Just as in the video, Dan was constantly using phrases like “as some say” to put his own views in the news. For example, he would say something like “Mr. Reagan today, in what some are saying is a purely political move”, did such and such. This trick allowed him to slant the news and express his own biased viewpoint while pretending to just be reporting the news. You can always find “some” who will express any viewpoint. So the “trick” is to express your own leftest opinion after the phrase “as some say”. You then leave it up to the audience to assume that you, as a trusted news authority, are expressing the majority opinion, which you’re not. The internet has done a lot to help convince the public that these posers are not the trusted news authorities they pretend to be.

    • He also used cute Texan speak, like, “it’s louder than amorous cats on a tin roof….” to sound like he was a regular guy.

Did you ever read the book “Bias” By Bernie Goldberg? It’s a bit older now, but still an excellent read on leftist news.

      • PapaLouie

No, I haven’t read that one but I like Bernie, so it’s probably a book I would enjoy. Thanks for the tip.

  • mder4thegov

This bunch is in for a rude awakening–come Nov.
The election will be a referendum on Obama, the corrupt, liberal media and Hollywood. When Romney/Ryan win, they’ll look at each other, and wonder what happened…they don’t possess the ability to think they’re the problem…narcissists to the end.

  • Nukeman60

I can’t decide whether this montage of newscasters describes the potential all-star lineup for the MSNBC hall-of-fame or the short list for 2012 presidential debate moderators.

    Poe-tay-toe, poe-tah-toe.

  • Yesterday Rush Limbaugh played sound bites of 9 different media talking heads using the exact same phrase. It’s S.O.P.: standard operation procedure.

  • bobemakk

What else can we expect from these lamestream A$$E$. Paul Ryan is being compared to a Reagan conservative, just what we need. Romney/Ryan is the right ticket.

  • I didn’t get a chance to comment on this one yesterday, but it reminds me very much of those montages Rush plays. It is important to catch these people working in unison, on the same date. I plan on using this and maybe a Rush montage of the media repeating their talking points clear across the spectrum. It’s important to show people how they are being told what to think and being manipulated…..before you know it, everyone is repeating the media narrative and they have no proof (they did not come to that conclusion on their own), but they believe it because it becomes fact because everyone is saying it.

  • aZjimbo

liberals are simply the most disgusting, vile, useless people on this earth.
