Pentagon, White House says NBC report of ‘preemptive strike’ on N. Korea WILDY WRONG

Last night’s report from NBC News that Trump may hit N. Korea with a preemptive strike if they follow through with their nuclear test is being called ‘wildly wrong’ by Pentagon officials, according to Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin:

They also call it ‘extremely dangerous’.

A White House official is also calling the report ‘flat wrong’:

However, a senior Trump administration official described as “flat wrong” an NBC News report citing senior US intelligence officials as saying the United States is prepared to launch a pre-emptive conventional weapons strike should officials be convinced North Korea is about to follow through with a nuclear weapons test.

Another US official also dismissed the report, calling it “speculative at best.”

The Pentagon declined to comment, saying, as a policy, it does not discuss future operations “nor publicly speculate on possible scenarios.”

So it looks like NBC’s reporting is suspect at best, but I’ve read they are standing by their reporting.
