Peter King uses hurricane disaster to SNIPE at Ted Cruz for voting against his PORK bill

If you want to know how much politicians are shamelessly addicted to government pork, just look at Rep. Peter King who is STILL sore from Ted Cruz voting against a bill purportedly for Sandy relief, but chock full of gov’t handouts.

Classy, dude.

Here’s what the bill really was:

Emergency relief for the families who are suffering from this natural disaster should not be used as a Christmas tree for billions in unrelated spending, including projects such as Smithsonian repairs, upgrades to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration airplanes, and more funding for Head Start.

Two thirds of this spending is not remotely “emergency”; the Congressional Budget Office estimates that only 30% of the authorized funds would be spent in the next 20 months, and over a billion dollars will be spent as late as 2021.

You can read more about it here from 2013:

Rep. Peter King won’t attend NY Republican fundraising dinner because Sen. Ted Cruz is keynote

But the media hates Cruz as much as pork-addict King does, so they’re going to use his crappy dig at Cruz to make it appear as if he was just being vindictive against New Yorkers…

Cruz also explains his vote later in the video in this post:
