Plaque honoring George Washington to be taken down from church he attended because he is EVIL.

George Washington is an evil man, with an evil legacy, and the mere mention of that legacy is enough to make people feel unsafe and unwelcome in church.

At least, that’s what we’re supposed to believe, according to the leaders of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Fox reports:

If you don’t have sound, this is from the article:

Leaders at the church that George Washington attended decided that a plaque honoring the first president of the United States must be removed.

Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia will take down a memorial marking the pew where Washington sat with his family, saying it is not acceptable to all worshipers.

“The plaques in our sanctuary make some in our presence feel unsafe or unwelcome,” leaders said, a reference to the fact that Washington was a slaveholder.

“Some visitors and guests who worship with us choose not to return because they receive an unintended message from the prominent presence of the plaques.”

They’re also taking down a plaque commemorating Robert E. Lee.

This is, of course, stupid. Americans should have the wisdom and freedom to say that fighting a war against the United States, in part to keep owning slaves, is not something to honor, but FOUNDING the United States emphatically is.

Sadly, like everything else, you are only given two options. Every statue everywhere has to stay, or all memorials in existence have to go.

Whatever happened to judgment? Oh right, it was replaced by partisan politics. Sad.
