Police released a video of an idiot pulling a gun on a cop that had pulled him over for running through a stop sign. It does not end well for the idiot.

Wow. Apparently the guy did a get a shot off at the cop, luckily the officer wasn’t hit.
Police said the officer fired at least six times.
Eyewitness News spoke to a 63-year-old man who saw the shooting from his front yard. He says the suspect did shoot at the officer and the officer had to protect himself.
“It’s unfortunate the officer is placed in the position but when a suspect points a weapon at the officer, the officer really has no choice but to defend himself,” said Bruegger.
The officer, 40 years old and a 13-year veteran of Pasadena PD, was not hurt. He has been placed on administrative leave, which is standard after officer-involved shootings. A Harris County grand jury will review the case.
He had a very violent past:
Saavedra was convicted in 2012 for assaulting his wife and then was indicted for a December 2016 incident of causing bodily harm to a family member. He violated a protective order for his wife Sept. 15, 2017, and had a warrant out for that violation, according to police and court records.
Their daughter, who witnessed the incident, told police that Saavedra said if officers came to the house, he wanted “to do suicide by cop.”
People need to think about the risks cops take every time they put on the uniform, and how they take down violent thugs like this guy who could have otherwise been free to do more damage to innocent lives. Are there abuses by the police? Yes, and those need to be punished. But the vast majority of cops are good guys. And gals.
