Mitt was safe and also NOT a tea party member or supporter.

Yea, I thought Romney was cowardly the way he answered the question about the Tea Party.

Rick Perry is a RINO (Republican in name only) and the fakest conservative to date. He’s parroting Ron Paul’s points, but is nothing more than a johnny-come-lately to the policies that Paul has been advocating for decades. The guy is a fraud, and former Dem. His policies in Texas as a big gov’t authoritarian should be enough to change your mind.

Rick Perry held his own tonight, despite being attacked from all sides with every negative talking point the moderators could muster. The fools on MSNBC are right now saying that he ruined his candidacy by calling social security a Ponzi Scheme. I beg to disagree. He didn’t say it should be abolished; Perry is merely saying that the status quo is unsustainable, which everyone should know by now. Unless social security is reformed, it won’t be there for future generations.

Media gave most time to mitt and perry, what happened to equal time?

    • KenInMontana

Several pre-debate polls were showing Perry as the new front runner so it was only natural for the LSM stooges to draw a bead on Perry for dethroning Mittens from their throne.

      • Anonymous

So much for fair moderation, but we knew that would happen, didn’t we? They should all have been given equal time to show their stuff.

        • Anonymous

I think each candidate should get same question and the same amount of time to respond to the question. Make it fair.

I think if she gets in the race it will be at the last minute because she knows the media will have a field day with her and her family…unlike obama who they always give a ‘free ride”.

It is obvious who the establishment is pushing for their candidate. Please choose one of the two, OR, maybe look at their voting record. Ron Paul without doubt, they cannot even begin to attack his voting record.

    • KenInMontana

From what I saw of Paul tonight, well he was showing his age. I saw several of his answers where it was pretty obvious he was struggling.

      • Drew Dennis

I see mainstream media has conditioned you to believe age matters in a presidential candidate. If we go by age, Obama must have been great, right?

        • KenInMontana

You must have failed at logic.

        • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_N6LKFIMERWOEH3HZOOQPGSDRRA Sammy

I’m a guy who supports Ron Paul, but knows he won’t get nominated.

FACT: Ron Paul IS 76 years old. Reagan was 70 when he started his first term. Just saying.

Hey, Ron Paul supporters…there’s a certain point where rigging the poll is more effort than it’s worth. I mean, what’s the point? He gets 70% online (allegedly), but he gets 8% nationally. The thing is, if you’re a principled Ron Paul supporter then you should be AGAINST tactics of deceit and false impressions. Rigging an online poll would be against your code.

          • Orange Shaman

I don’t understand where there’s any logic in calling those who are voting in polls “rigging.” It doesn’t let people vote more than once and even the argument that they’re getting people from other sites…supporters of other candidates are just as capable of doing exactly the same. Sorry that Paul has a stronger anti-establishment support structure than your guys.

            • KenInMontana

Sadly, just posting the fact that there is a poll on another site on a Paul forum calling for people to go there and “bump” the poll, does not translate to an election victory. His past efforts have shown this.

True…but there is a much greater emphasis on personal freedom and responsibility than ever. I’d like to see Paul get it, but am also looking forward to joining my fellow voluntarists in cleaning up the mess and starting from scratch when America collapses from this R/D coin that’s been flipped around and pretty much continues to be flipping around.

Cain supporters can spend time on their computers, so can the other supporters of their candidates. The same rules apply to everyone. They can organize themselves around their candidate, start groups, and have money bombs. Ron Paul supporters don’t do anything that is not allowed.
What is different is that they really believe in what they are doing, and that Ron Paul’s ideas are bigger than the man.

How do you rig an open poll? Anyone can vote, so people are voting. Can you believe the result? Who many polls does Ron Paul have to win before you will believe in the Constitution?…That there are many people who believe in limited government and personal Liberty. Open your mind to that possibility.

Look at the results on the top of the page, then look in the mirror. That is how you rig a pole. Now, go try to get the real numbers up and get some repect behind your efforts and let’s really have a discussion.

              • Orange Shaman

That makes no sense whatsoever. A poll is only that anyway…especially online. Little kids and felons can vote in this thing, if they want to. I think the only reason Scoop bothered including Ron Paul this time is because so many of us decided to rack up his poll with people like Gingrich and Huntsman just to drive the point home.

                • http://twitter.com/Winston80 Winston

                  ru paul is a communist

                • Orange Shaman

You said this last time…but you never answered my question. HOW? In what way, shape, form or fashion is he a “communist?” What big government, big labor, anti-free market stuff has he supported?

                • http://www.facebook.com/salvatore.anello Salvatore Anello

So, let me get this staight. If you can’t rig the poll with Ron Paul votes, then you will rig it for votes for someone else. Hmm, thanks for ending this discussion with a big win for me.

                • Orange Shaman

WHY NOT put someone else’s name in there, if our guy isn’t on there? To leave our guy out makes the poll just as worthless as if we actually stayed out of it.

It’s just an online poll anyway. If this were something that was going to have a serious and real outcome such as…oh…I don’t know…the actual primary or presidential election…then MAYBE you could cry and whine and complain like a child about how we’re “rigging” it. THEN, though…you bear the burden of proof that we “cheated,” which getting lots of supporters to come vote on something or someone does no such thing.

                • Anonymous

And what point are you making?

Great debaters don’t make great leaders. If you’re going to go by polls anyway…there have been phone polls done just in Texas that showed Ron Paul with higher scores than Perry…in Perry’s own state. Just some food for thought.

your a freaking moron.. nobody is rigging anything.. most people who are on the internet voting on these things are highly informed. They mostly know that ALL of these candidates represent the establishment and the ONLY person willing to stand on the principles of the constitution is Ron Paul. However, if you don’t have the internet and you mainly rely on the mainstream media, who grotesquely shills for the puppets of the status quo and treats the notion of following the constitution as “controversial”, then the message will be sabotaged.. Polls aren’t rigged.. a lotta people on the internet know the truth

Even the Ron Paul bots can’t really think he won that debate. Seriously folks, the reason why you can’t win is because you lack the creativity of independant thought. Ron has his strengths AND …wait for it… faults. A little intellectual honesty from you folks would be nice. We can’t get that from the media about Obama either, though. When Ron Paul loses, will you stay in your basement November 2012?

        • Orange Shaman

Nah. Even though Oklahoma always consolidates all 5 of its electoral colleges (even despite 1 or 2 voting overall D) into whoever the R guy is every time…I’ll still walk from my house to the poll place…and I’ll cast it for the Libertarian candidate. Though it’s a “wasted” vote, I’ll always vote on principle…and at least the walk will burn a few calories.

          • Anonymous

If everyone voted on principle, this would be a much better country. Sad to say, most don’t know anything (or very little) about the candidates when they enter the voting booth.

            • Orange Shaman

Perfect example: Oklahoma’s “No Sharia Law” law. There’s only 15,000 Muslims in a state of over 3,000,000 people and there’s never been one single case where Sharia was ever brought up…yet because the media’s skull(bleep)ed people to the point where they’ll gladly act on their alpha brainwaves instead of slowing down and rationally using beta…they voted overwhelmingly for this.

Result? CAIR files a lawsuit against Oklahoma for specifying Sharia in what could’ve been just a “no international law” proposal and our state’s now going to raise taxes on all of us sooner or later to cover the millions it’s spending because of the ignorance of the voters.

If everyone voted on principle, this would be a much better country. Sad to say, most don’t know anything (or very little) about the candidates when they enter the voting booth.

          • Anonymous

I admire your integrity but you might want to rethink your position because every vote against a Republican puts obama into office. Do you really think America will hold up under another four years of obama’s repressive dictatorship?

            • Orange Shaman

The pessimist in me says that this government has already grown out of control and our country as we know it will fall to economic destitute regardless of who takes over the presidency.

The realist in me says that actually…America might suffer further unemployment and the economy will tank more and recovery will be prolonged through more government intervention…but just as America survived the Great Depression…we can also survive a 2nd Obama term.

I will not rethink my position. As I said…here in Oklahoma…the electoral college will take a 3 to 2 R vs. D vote and turn all 5 of them into R votes. So…the general election really doesn’t matter to me because of where I live. That’s why I’m so adamant about the primary. I truly believe that anyone besides Ron Paul will turn into a RINO the second they win the primary and then America will be left with that “God-awful” choice we had in 2008…”lesser of two evils.” I’m sick of being stuck in that system. I’d RATHER America collapse NOW than prolong its suffering like that.

We have learned that because something is different doesn’t make it better…RP, wants to get rid of IRS, the Fed and the UN- good, he wants to nullify the health care mandate and fire the czars, all good.

Where scares me and a lot of other Americans is RP’s notion that we can negotiate with terrorist like Hamas. RP, doesn’t get it. His foreign policy is naive at best and dangerous and nonthreatening to America, at worst. He doesn’t get it.

All y’all who are saying Rick and Mitt, who represent the status quo, take a look at the results. Ron Paul is beatin’ the breaks off of everyone. If your heart belongs to Texas, forget about that polished politician Rick Perry. Look at Ron Paul who has had an impeccable record over the years. It’s time to wake up peeps. The right wing establishment has done us wrong just as much as the left wing. Liberty shall prevail. Vote Ron Paul.

I didn’t watch more than TRScoop’s clips, but I’ve been reading at this site and others. Without having seen this one, I can say that these Primary debates are already the best I’ve witnessed in my lifetime.

I think it would be nice if Ron Paul and Jo(h)n Huntsman weren’t on the stage, but that’s just my opinion.

It would also be nice if this were the last debate the Republicans ever allow MSNBC to host. Nothing wrong with going into the lion’s den, so to speak, but there’s absolutely no reason to go into the monkey house on poo-flinging day.

“I can say that these Primary debates are already the best I’ve witnessed in my lifetime.”

Not sure who I’m supporting at this stage, but I really liked Cain’s answers – he was the only one who insisted on recognizing the problem and offered solutions rather than just saying how bad the gov’t is. I don’t think Newt won, but was glad he was there – he brought some unity and cahunas to battle the real “enemy” – liberalism (especially in the media). Hated to have to turn to MSNBC to watch it…

I though Cain had the best answer on illegal immigration. I also like the fact that Cain has successful business experience and he is pragmatic.

Are we honestly any “safer” now with over 100,000 troops risking their life and limb nation-building? Ron Paul’s the only one on that stage who’s actually BEEN in the military and has any real idea how the military operates and how warfare actually works having served during a war…which like this one…was a losing battle of nation-building. He’s been through this before and realizes that just like Vietnam…this “war on terror” won’t is just going to drain us as well.

I think Ron Paul loves America and is an honest man. I like his plans to get rid of the fed, IRS, the UN, and back our dollars with gold. I like that he wants to nullify the health care mandate.

However, the problem with Ron Paul is his foreign policy will get us all killed. He thinks that we can sit down and negotiate with terrorists like Hamas. He doesn’t get it.

    • Orange Shaman

Really? Negotiate? When did he say we were going to negotiate with Hamas? I’m pretty sure all I’ve ever heard him say regarding foreign policy is that we shouldn’t be nation-building and we should bring the troops home since our own borders are too open with the thinning of resources being spent overseas. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems like having more troops at home protecting ourselves instead of trying to force our way of life on a bunch of brown people seems more productive, more cost-effective, and most importantly…SAFER.

Why is it so hard to admit that we Ron Paul supports like Ron Paul enough to go online and vote for him. Why do ppl claim its only one guy or two? And besides even if i wanted to vote over and over itd be impossible to so it from one IP address. Polls protect themselves from that ever happening, just as with the FOX text poll back in 2007. Stop listening to the media and do your own research and you’ll find that Paul is waaaaaaay more popular than given credit. Even Reagan was considered too extreme to get in office. Itll either be Obama again or Paul. RON PAUL 2012!!!

What a dog and pony show that was. Good lord. There was NO “debate” at all! It was the Rick Perry & Mitt Romney show! What a bunch of loaded questions. And how the hell do they ask EVERYONE else about healthcare and not as Dr. Ron Paul, the only physician? Wth is going? The man had to literally fight himself into this so-called debate. If you all don’t see the big picture as to how the “mainstream media” selects candidates for you and how manipulative it is, then you gotta dig deeper. Ron Paul is a top tier candidate and they ask him about school lunches? God I really, really despise the “mainstream media”. Shameful.
