***[UPDATE: SUSPECT FOUND DEAD]*** – 3 dead, 4 wounded in mass shooting at Wisconsin SPA

***UPDATE: The latest report is that the suspect was found dead after wounding 4 and killing 3 today:

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) – A man police suspected of killing three and wounding four by opening fire at a tranquil day spa was found dead Sunday afternoon following a six-hour manhunt that locked down a shopping center, country club and hospital in suburban Milwaukee.

Authorities said they believed the shooting was related to a domestic dispute. The man they identified as the suspect, Radcliffe Franklin Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer, had a restraining order against him.

Christine Bannister, a dispatch supervisor for Waukesha County communications center, said Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer, had been found dead. She could not provide more details.

Another horrible shooting has happened in Wisconsin, possibly claiming the lives of 3 people and wounding 4 others. The suspect is still at large but police believe they have identified him.

Below are the updates from CNN over the last few hours on this terrible story:

[Updated 4:41 p.m.] Authorities “believe” three of the seven people shot Sunday have died, police Chief Daniel Tushaus said.

The shooting took place around 11 a.m. CT (noon ET), the chief explained.

Authorities have been able to track down a 2003 Mazda Protege linked to the suspect – which was found outside the city of Brookfield – but the suspect remains at large. He’s been identified as Radcliffe Haughton, who Tushaus said weighs 270 pounds and stands just over 6 feet tall.

[Updated 4:10 p.m.] Bomb squad personnel are at the scene of the shooting, Brookfield police Lt. John Beth said, pointing to concerns there may be explosives at the site.

[Updated 3:42 p.m.] ATF spokesman Thomas Ahern identifies the suspected shooter as Radcliffe Haughton, 45, of Brown Deer, Wisconsin. The shooting is being investigated as a possible domestic-related incident, according to Ahern. The suspect remains at large.

Radcliffe Haughton

[Updated 3:29 p.m.]ATF spokesman Thomas Ahern confirms to CNN that seven people were shot by a lone gunman at the Azana Hair Salon and Spa. “Employees said a man entered the salon, workers saw a firearm – a handgun of some sort,” Ahern told CNN’s Susan Candiotti. “An employee said to the gunman something like, ‘If you’re gonna rob the place, rob the place,’ and then (the gunman) opened fire.”

[Updated 2:24 p.m.] FBI and ATF agents are among the authorities at the scene, CNN affiliate WISN reports.

[Updated 2:07 p.m.] The nearby mall and some other buildings are on lockdown, CNN affiliates report.

[Updated 1:56 p.m.] CNN affiliate WTMJ reports authorities are looking for a suspect.

[Updated 1:54 p.m.] CNN affiliate WISN reports that a witness described seeing two women leaving the spa, apparently injured.  One crawled out and was taken by emergency responders.  The other was treated by emergency personnel in a squad car.

[Updated 1:32 p.m.] Hospital spokeswoman Nalissa Wienke tells CNN all four people in the emergency room appear to have non-critical injuries.  She could not say whether the injuries were due to gunshots.  At this time, the hospital does not believe it will need more staff, she said.

[Updated 1:28 p.m.] Numerous emergency vehicles are at a spa in Brookfield, Wisconsin, as local news agencies report a shooting took place.

Four people are in an emergency room, and another three are on their way, said Beth Strohbusch of Froedtert Hospital in nearby Milwaukee.

CNN affiliate WTMJ says the Waukesha Sheriff’s Department confirmed there was a shooting, and that witnesses say it was either at or near the Azana Salon and Spa, which is across the road from Brookfield Square Mall.

CNN affiliate WISN called it a “mass shooting.”

thoughts , prayers out to the people hurt in this shooting.

Hummm, where is Obama’s outrage over this? A little Chicago-style behavior slip over the border into a swing state #NotOptimal?

    • WordsFailMe

Hadn’t thought of that. The alleged shooter does look like he could have been Obama’s son. In vitro, I mean.

  • WordsFailMe

Just saw the picture of the alleged shooter. Probably won’t get a hit on any local Tea Party membership lists, this time.

    • conservative58

‘Probably won’t get a hit on any local Tea Party membership lists, this time.”
No; however, O may seize the moment to talk about gun control.

A sad situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. Hope they catch this guy soon!

      • maynardb50

However Obama could come out and say “If I had a son…”

      • Orangeone

Oh please let him. The shooter is his race!

  • 4Hoppes2

Bomb squad personnel, ATF, that doesn’t sound like a domestic. My prayers for the victims and their families.

  • serfer62

    Wow, another of Holder’s People!

    • WordsFailMe

You know your right. That photograph does like a little like an attorney…

      • Orangeone

Holder’s restraining order didn’t restrain too well did it. Ooops, Holder would have served one on the woman and protected the shooter.

  • wodiej

Domestic violence. Wonder how many times the woman called police for help and nothing was done.

  • WordsFailMe

Umm, Umm, Umm…It’ll be interesting to find out whether the alledged mfr took a shot at any men or was it only women he shot?

Something Freudian about mass murderers and serial rapists whose only desire is to harm women…something about hating yo mama, isn’t it?

Anybody find a Ratcliffe Haughton on a Tea Party membership list yet?

  • Landscaper

If a 12 year old GIRL can shoot a creep right through a closed closet door, why are so many ADULTS not armed?

Imagine a scene when 10 angry ladies pull out their .357’s at him the second he pulled his gun. Maybe a “wtf” Kodack Moment for the bad guy?

    • librtifirst

American politics is not about real solutions, so quit inciting violence, you racist. 🙂

      • Orangeone

LOL He said pull the gun not shoot it 🙂 I’ll add that bit on for Landscaper, pull it and shoot it!

        • librtifirst

Wouldn’t it be great to see someone form a ladies club that has competitions on pulling the gun out of their purses and shooting a poster of a perp?

          • librtifirst

I found this video of American women terrorists working out in their training camp in Arizona.

            • colliemum

              Great video!

Did you notice that not one of the ladies, of all ages, was, well, ‘too short for their size’, a.k.a obese?

              • I didn’t actually, but I love to see a lady with a gun, for some reason.

This girl can handle a gun. These two made a lot of good videos.

                • colliemum

                  She definitely can!

Now compare that with the situation here in the UK: most clubs shut down, and our Olympic sports shooters are all gone to the continent because they can’t train here.
Worse – the British Olympic Committee cut the funding for the sport shooters, from funding fifty down to five.
Peter Wilson, who won the Gold in double trap shooting -http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BP69x_dEKtA&feature=relmfu – was only able to train because he was funded by an Arab Sheik!
That’s where socialist political correctness gets you, and be in no doubt that this is exactly what Bathhouse Barry and his cronies want for your glorious country.

                • Believe me, I understand the pressures on our firearms liberty. I remember watching the videos of guns being piled up and crushed, and cut into pieces when the ban took effect over there. It was disheartening to say the least. Even old antique guns in glass cases were destroyed. It was a scary sight to see all of that.

I don’t believe that they will get our guns before they collapse the system. They will then go door to door after requiring a voluntary turning in of guns. I expect it to happen though. The New World Order cannot tolerate armed citizens. As it is, they have built databases on those who purchase guns and gun related items, so they know where to look.

They won’t be able to do it as long as Americans believe that we are a sovereign nation with a binding constitution. (which isn’t true) We will have to enter an overt state of emergency, rather than the covert one that we live under right now. (declared, but not widely known) The constitution allows our government to seize all property if necessary under a declaration of a national emergency by our president, which we have had in effect since 1933. Our currency is set up in such a way as to transfer all wealth to the owners of the currency by placing a lien on all things purchased with it. A private bank owns our currency.

We are in bigger doo doo than most people know. The Fed Note is being abandoned as the world reserve currency – petro dollar, and the proprietors of the currency are bailing out foreign banks, while our government publicly destroys its value in a consorted effort to collapse the entire system. We don’t have much time left.

Personally, I see gun confiscation as a natural progression towards authoritarian rule, which we are largely under now. Eventually we will all be under something that more closely resembles totalitarian rule.

Americans are largely ignorant to their own reality. Ignorance is death in this world. Always has been.

I have been sorry to see what has transpired in the UK and the whole of Europe. I have on occasion been blessed to hear from guys like Nigel Ferrage, and Lord Monkton. They do a pretty good job of describing how Europeans have lost their connection with their governing bodies, and how it has been shifted into the hands of the EU. I wouldn’t want to be there when your system collapses, and ours will be shortly after that, if not in concert with it. I have prepared for such an event, and will have food and shelter, but many won’t.

          • Orangeone

I’ll form it and we can have a contest at Scoop to choose the perp of the week for the target!

            • librtifirst

That could get sticky, but I like it.

              • Orangeone

                I trust our voters 🙂

        • Landscaper

Who the hell said those hair salon sista’s not blast that bruther? I would pay to see them drop him in the doorway.

As far as the 12 year old girl, I wish she had a double barrel 12 ga. with buck shot when she pulled the trigger. No need for a ambulance. A mop and a shop-vac!

          • librtifirst

Double oo buck would have been good.

          • Orangeone

    • Orangeone

Girl’s mom believes in the 2nd Amendment, shooter’s clan believes in Barky Boy.

      • librtifirst

“Hey mom, the government is here to take our guns”. “What should I do”?

        • Orangeone

Respond accordingly and take no prisoners

          • librtifirst

Response: “what does your gut tell you, sweetie”

Seriously, though, could you imaging what American families would do if government did that and their family members got killed? Not a good thought.

  • librtifirst

    Thanks for the updates scoop.

  • DCGere

So sad. Prayers for all that were killed/hurt.

  • sjmom

How sad and tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with all involved and their loved ones.

  • scrubjay
    • toongoon

Yep! You know it, the same ones that it always is.

    • kong1967

That’s not a name that can be mistaken identity either. It’s extremely highly unlikely there’s anyone by that same name in the state (although it’s possible).

    • colliemum

One comment at that linked report writes: “Via the Twitter feed of one of WTMJ-TV’s reporters – “Suspect RADCLIFFE HAUGHTON hit with court order of protection 10/18, ordered to turn firearms over to sheriff.”

Sooo – three days aren’t sufficient for the sheriffs to take the guns off that killer? Are there Union rules saying ‘no work from Friday to Monday’?

  • Time for Obama to call for more gun control.

  • kong1967

We have had a rash of shooting violence the last few years. Is one sparking another in the same sense the mass shootings at schools were. Copycat shooters trying to get attention on themselves?

Every time this happens it gives ammo to the left to force gun control.

  • colliemum

Prayers for the families of all those killed.

To those who will now inevitably scream for tighter gun control laws, I’d say: have you never heard of knives?
It’s the ‘weapon of choice’ in the UK, and knives kill people as dead as guns.
You guessed it: carrying a proper knife here is illegal, just as owning, never mind carrying, a handgun.

Socialist ideology and political correctness kills people.

  • WordsFailMe

Still disturbs me that the Military and local police are issued 9mm and 5,52 mm and Obama bought millions of rounds of .357 for Social Security office guards, TSA and other Fed agencies. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Obama and Valerie arm our US Postmen and Letter Carriers and use them and their vehicles to pick up guns from neighborhoods!

A 9mm round is about 0.9 inches long. The .357 is about 1.7 inches long. It carries twice the stopping power of 5.52 (M16). The penetrated power of the .357 dwarf’s both. If you don’t have an AK, or better, variety long gun for homeland defense, you ought to move up when you can.

The good news is that the military trained defender, vets and active duty, won’t hesitate.

Still planning to patrol the polling booths in my area, Nov 6, and readying for the race war “kick-off” when Romney’s victory is announced-LOL.

  • Maybe CNN can use a timeline like this for Libya ?
