Rand Paul explains the compromise solution he gave Trump last night and how he responded – [VIDEO]

Rand Paul told Trump last night that, essentially, if the Senate would pull the pork and spending out of the repeal bill and put it in a separate bill, then he could vote for it:

Paul said he would compromise and vote for a repeal bill as long as it isn’t ‘obnoxious’, arguing that subsidizing insurance company profits is very much obnoxious.

He emphasizes that this repeal bill he’s referring to wouldn’t be a clean bill, but rather just minus the obnoxious spending. That, however, could go into another bill that Democrats would likely vote for since they love this kind of spending.

Thus he could vote for the repeal bill and not have to vote for the spending bill.

When asked what Trump said to his proposal, Paul said Trump noted that the easier route would be for him just to vote for the current bill. LOL!

So I guess we’ll see.
