Yesterday Obama chastised Congress and said they need to get to work solving the nation’s problems. Rand Paul agrees but adds it’s a two-way street and wonders why the President and the Vice-President are out campaigning instead of working on the nation’s problems with Congress:

Who are the people attending Obama’s fundraiser? I’d love to see that group. What American citizen would still give Obama the time of day anymore? I find that amazing.

Union workers, Socialists, Liberals, misinformed americans(majority), GE workers, green company workers, the 50% of americans who pay less than 5% of taxes, marxists, communists, hippies,… people on food stamps, unemployment, welfare, disability, grants, etc. etc. etc.

      • Anonymous

Not necessarily true. I would say the unions, commies, islamics, marxists.
Just because someone is poor doesn’t mean they are stupid.

no, but they could be lazy, they could want the year off to move and go somewhere else and get settled and we are paying

Agree. I know some amazing people who don’t make much in terms of income. However, I understand the rough point being made – that people who don’t make much are technically being subsidized in some way by wealthier people due to the redistributive nature of our tax code. Let’s not mistake that fact by assuming that all those people are happy about that. I find that humility inspires greatness.

I didn’t say poor people or poor people are stupid but okay. But ya them too :). They don’t have to be stupid to want to pay less taxes. Those who make a smaller income love liberals “Robin Hood theory” of taxation so why are poor people stupid to attend a rally for someone who will make them pay close to nothing in taxes and let them reap most of the benefits from that revenue. Id say poor people are smart in attending this man’s rally.

All I am saying is there are a lot of poor people that can’t stand barry. It’s not just the middle class, what’s left of them.

For “Obama fundraiser” read “union shakedown”.

I would vote for Rand as President before I would vote for Ron.

Addendum, RS, can we get Rubios speech also? :)

Rand Paul will be President one day. In fact, he might be the next Republican President, but in 2016. By then, our economy will be in complete shambles and BHO will go down as the worst President in American history. Rand Paul will be remembered as the President who freed Americans from the soft tyranny of low expectations. Our century long experiment with socialism will finally be over.

    How’s that for a prediction?

    BS

      Don’t get my hopes up.

I suspect it won’t take 4 more years to reasonably conclude he is the worst in modern history. He’s following the Carter blueprint very well.

The more I hear this guy the more I love him. He is able to articulate so well what the majority of us conservatives are feeling and thinking. Thank you Rand Paul for going to Washington and following through and not being a RINO like so many who walk those halls. Please keep up the good fight, We The People will stand with you.

    Rand is great.

change the constitution? im confused on what Rand Paul says…

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/OUNFNNK4VWVNQZWD743RKW5UYM jonathon b

what’s confusing about amending the constitution to make elected officials do the job they were hired to do?
i have an idea for an amendment- *no elected official may leave his post to campaign.* you were hired to do a job, you stay and do it until your term is complete. there are many ways to let the people know that they would like to stay in office, instead of flying here and there to promise BS to one group on day 1 only to promise BS to another group on day 2 that goes against yesterday’s promise and lie to the people about what a great representative and person they are and steal the people’s money in the process through re-election contributions from federal coffers(meaning the people’s money)

Is that the change in the constitution he was talking about then? Must admit I was confused by that as well.

        • Anonymous

He means Senator DeMint’s proposed amendment to the Constitution.

At least he admits they are spineless.

We are drowning in Government debt from Union workers. Since Owebama has been in office he created jobs ok. in the Government Unions where he has pull.
I want this community activist out of our house. He sees things that he wants the country to do that will take a left turn so we will never get out of this debt. We will owe so much money we will be like Greece
The jobs he got from the stimulus in California were UNION jobs, Highways and freeway Union Jobs. Help get him out.
