Turnabout is fair-play don’t ya’ think?

CNS News – A growing number of firearm and firearm-related companies have stated they will no longer sell items to states, counties, cities and municipalities that restrict their citizens’ rights to own them. According to The Police Loophole, 34 companies have joined in publicly stating that governments who seek to restrict 2nd Amendment rights will themselves be restricted from purchasing the items they seek to limit or ban.

Extreme Firepower Inc., located in Inwood, WV has had a longstanding policy that states:

“The Federal Government and several states have enacted gun control laws that restrict the public from owning and possessing certain types of firearms…If a product that we manufacture is not legal for a private citizen to own in a jurisdiction, we will not sell that product to a law-enforcement agency in that jurisdiction.”

York Arms, located in Buxton, ME released a statement following new legislation in New York:

“Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York.”

Quality Arms, located in Rigby, ID writes on their website, “elected officials have their own agenda to circumnavigate the truth and destroy the constitution of the United States.”

The site states: “Quality Arms Idaho will not supply and firearm or product, manufactured by us, or any other company nor will we warranty, repair, alter, or modify and firearm owned by any State, County or Municipality who infringes on the right of its citizens to bear arms under the 2nd Amendment.”

Maybe the government will have to create its own gun manufacturing facilities. Pity those that have to use government made guns.

Ammunition producers should join the boycott.

    • JungleCogs

Well, considering King Obama’s mentality, he’ll just nationalize the firearms and ammo industries. All hail the Emperor!

If Obama was a Republican you would back him 110% even if he banned all guns… Oh wait HE IS A REPUBLICAN…

Golf Giggle Snort of the day!

        Subject: Testicle Therapy

Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her
ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.

The ball hit one of the men.

He immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the
ground and proceeded to roll around in agony.

The woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologize.
‘Please allow me to help. I’m a Physical Therapist and I know I could
Relieve your pain if you’d allow me.’ she told him.

‘Oh, no, I’ll be all right. I’ll be fine in a few minutes,’ the man replied.
He was in obvious agony, lying in the fetal position,
still clasping his hands there at his groin.

At her persistence, however, he finally allowed her to help.
She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side,
loosened his pants and put her hands inside.

She administered tender and artful massage for several long moments
and asked, ‘How does that feel?’

He replied: ‘It feels great, but I still think my thumb’s broken!’

    • physicsnut

so where is the ammo ? Ammo manufacturers should REFUSE to sell anything to
the Feds or to NY State

      • virginiagentleman1

I agree with you. Ammo manufacturers should refuse to sell their goods to the feds. As long as our troops get the ammo they need, to hell with the other federal agencies! I read last week where the feds ordered 1.6 billion rounds of hollow points for ‘target practice’! Even those without a brain know that hollow points aren’t used for ‘target practice’! MUCH too expensive!

My friend, we all know that modern American goverenment will lie through their teeth rather then speak the truth, and that has esculated under the marxist regime of Obama. Remember the old axiom that a government built on lies can not stand? We are seeing that with our own eyes.

America is in dire straights. We face a real possibility that she will go the way of other failed nations. Americans elected, and then re-elected Obama. Regardless of whether ‘dead people’ voted or not, enough ‘live’ people voted to re-elect him over that sad sack Romney! Can we as a people really be that stupid? It seems so.
The gun manufactuerers and ammo folks aren’t the only ones at fault here. WE, the People cannot shed our share of the blame either. Talk to your family, your friends, your neighbors. The future of our Republic is in OUR hands my friend, not the manufacterers.

        • http://twitter.com/sheepodoom SheepODoom

interesting this same paranoia was said about Clinton & nothing happened … A Republican is appointed to the job does the very thing you chicken little’s cried about Clinton doing & not one word is said. bush gave us the arrest of Americans with SECRET Witnesses, SECRET evidence, striped us of our right to face our accusers, Secret Tribunals who could sentence a person to death without appeal, Warrantless searches & Wiretaps that allow LEO to simply walk into our homes search whatever they please even allow for them to PLANT EVIDENCE. Allow Border Security to WIPE ANY ELECTRIC Device they find with music or films you bought & transfered to them. Yet NOT ONE PEEP from you folks. Now your back to THE SKY IS FALLING. guess what assholes Obama is STILL USING BUSH ADMINISTRATION POLICIES. Consider this Bush’s FOURTH TERM. Funny how you folks think it’s so bad NOW.

I’ve read your activity. You don’t engage in debate, you ridicule and scorn instead.

Neither Obama, Clinton, nor either Bush is my idea of a ‘leader’. They tried to rule, not lead. I believe my previous comment made that clear.
So I ask you again, what is your point? Can you answer the question without scorn, without cursing? You might actually have something to say if you can overcome your bias.

That’s a very good idea. I’m looking to obtain a backup. Maybe a Px4 Storm Type F Sub-Compact. It comes in both 9mm and .40. Hmmm.

            • OneThinDime

I’m starting to see some .40 ammo on the shelves, not longer than a few days but availability is improving.

Cool, thanks! A big, honkin’ Cabelas was just built within a tenth of a mile from the local Gander Mountain. The Gander Mountain store responded, during this gun-grab, by putting up a big billboard declaring themselves to be the largest gun store in the state.

Competition is tough–seriously tough, but good for all of us.

                • OneThinDime

Sweet! NRA just did a gift card deal with Cabelas, too bad there wasn’t one near me. Buy up and stimulate the economy!

                • Rshill7

I finally found a decent deal on some Federal brand 9mm hollow points at luckygunner.com less than an hour ago. They had 4 cases left of 1,000 rounds each. I answered the phone and when I came back to the computer to order them, they were all gone :-(

better hope they have a non union supply chain… I’d hate for them NOT to get resupplied by Teamsters or Union steel plants. If I was a trucker making a supply run to Baretta I’d dump my load in a scrap yard.

  • Grumpa37

The principled stand of the gun and ammo makers is great news, but Right Scoopers also need to know about the 10th US District Court in Denver ruling that Amendment 2 does NOT guarantee the right to *conceal* and carry. They are clearly infringing, and must be reveresed!

    • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

I don’t give a pickled damn about what some stupid judge says. What part of “…SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.” are they not understanding? I won’t bow to Obama, and I won’t bow to a petty bureaucrat that wants people to call him “Your Honor”. Honorable is the LAST word I’d attribute to a judge like that.

      • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

Exactly. If a sitting judge, or even a sitting court refuses to follow the law, they should be held in contempt of the law by We The People.

        The law shall be enforced.

        • StandProudNow

The same goes for the president.

        • http://twitter.com/sheepodoom SheepODoom

Funny how a Judge is only following the “law” if you agree with that law. Yet he’s an activist Judge for obeying the law as written. kinda like an Atheist bitching Separation of church & state for an Activist judge who protects the religious liberties of non atheists.

      • Grumpa37

Hmm. Where did I find “reveresed”? No idea. However, the reason I’l do anything I can to oppose the anti-liberty… people, is that ALL liberty depends on Amendment 2!

Only one other issue boils my water almost as much. B Hussein is selling America out from under us, and giving away what he can’t sell. We must stop him As Soon As Possible!

        • http://twitter.com/sheepodoom SheepODoom

So your all for liberty? Ok how about the religious liberty of a gay minister of a gay church to marry a same sex couple in said church?

          • Grumpa37

Well, SheepODoom, first note: I don’t care who boinks whom, or how, as long as the boinkee enjoys the experience about as much as the boinker. I doubt this happens when an adult uses a child, but barring this disgusting practice, homosexuals can do whatever they want as far as I’m concerned. Including “marrying” each other. After all, what do you call a man who marries another man? In England, a vicar. Here, a preacher.

This made my day when I read it on Friday. It is about time companies start fighting back against the tyrannical Federal, State and city governments. Next they should refuse to sell bullets to those same governments.

  • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

An old story (I read this, last week), but a goodie. ALL gun manufacturers need to go Gault, nation wide, against oppressive governments, and act against any foreigners that try interfering. In fact, with 2 liters being banned in NY, Coke, Pepsi, and all other soft drink manufacturers, need to follow suit. After that, defense contractors need to start targeting the federal government, for the same treatment.

    • StandProudNow

If soft drink manufacturers stopped selling to NY for just a couple of weeks it would sway the public away from “Nannyism” (There!! A new word!) in a BIG way.
It would be a hoot, and very very effective!

      • http://twitter.com/sheepodoom SheepODoom

If I couln’t buy soda in NYC I’d go across the river to NJ… only a fool would refuse all that new money coming in…

  • Nukeman60

I think they need to limit the sale to these government agencies to 5 rounds each. After all, it doesn’t take more than 5 rounds for the TSA to pat down an airport visitor or for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to make a prediction of the weather any more than it takes us 5 rounds to kill a deer.

  • Amjean

These are brave Americans. Indeed, anyone who speaks out or takes action

THE RED STATES WILL END UP USING THE BLUE STATES AS PARKING LOTS The Apotheosis of The Tea Party? Yes. We, in The Tea Party, are standing by awaiting the inevitable fall off the Republican Party. CLUNK! “What was that terrible sound Martha?” The new conservative party will either carry on with the name Tea Party or they will see the delicious irony of the doubly offensive name “The Conservative Party for Democracy”. The name has something to piss off both of our existing parties. Either way Gandhi was correct when he predicted “If we stand fast these present victories won’t be the last”. The conservative movement will definitely be putting a number of notches on their political gun. There is a new sheriff in town and he ain’t no rino. You see Tea Partyers the nation is voting with their feet as we speak. Companies are sending fully loaded moving vans from Los Angeles, New York and Chicago to places like Austin, Texas. And, the vans are dead-heading back for another load. When the coming shooting war is over between the fed and the Texas state troopers and the dust is settling, you will see two nations. One will be the new Soviet Union made up of blues states and the other The Unites States made up of the red states. In then last analysis, the red states will use the blue states for parking lots

    • lanahi

Are those fleeing California and Chicago taking their liberal policies with them and going just for a better economic climate? If so, if I were Texas, I’d ban state citizenship to these folks. Californians particularly run from their state and create another California wherever they go. They are not very welcome in the conservative states they invade. I know this is true in Idaho where I live…Californian is a dirty word here. Once they ruin their state, they run to another state to ruin it in the same way, the same way they have changed the politics of Oregon and Washington state. If, on the other hand, these are conservatives who want a different political and social climate to live in, roll out the welcome mat!

    http://nation.foxnews.com/gun-companies/2013/02/24/44-gun-companies-stop-sales-law-enforcement-anti-2nd-amendment-states

  • aliswell

While I commend these gun manufacturing companies for their efforts, this boycott they’re conducting isn’t being done so on principle alone. They see the writing on the wall. They recognize the REAL intent of the government is to ban American civilians from owning guns. These civilians are also the gun manufacturers bread and butter. Ban the people from owning guns and these particular gun manufacturers will likely go under. So it behooves them to fight for 2nd Amendment.

Furthermore, nearly ALL US law enforcement agencies throughout the country use Sig Sauers and Glocks, from local to federal levels. So until these two gun manufacturers join the list of boycotters, the boycott will have little effect to no effect.

    • notsofastthere

You got that right. No customers means no competition and no sales. That’s it in a nutshell.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

No Open Thread, so here’s another O/T just FYI (don’t respond to this comment, we’ll hit this again later):

Systemic Leaks Of Defense Secrets From NASA’s Ames Research Center, Investigation By FBI Being Stonewalled By Government

Once upon a time, something like this would occupy months of the news, become a major scandal, and result in people going to jail. Nowdays, it’s standard operating procedure for Barack the Totalitarian.

    • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

I think I might start occasionally using Barack al-Husseini Vissarionovich Obama, in honor of both Barack’s hero, Uncle Joe, and the Grand Mufti before him.

  • http://navalwarfare.blogspot.com/ Libertyship46

Good for the gun companies. The gun companies can become the arms OPEC of the United States. Think about it. If all of the gun AND ammunition companies refuse to sell guns and ammunition to Federal and state governments that are taking away our Second Amendment rights, where are they going to go for their guns and ammunition? And since the liberals in Congress always demand that there be a “Buy American First” clause in every contract issued by Congress, the US government isn’t about to go overseas for its guns and ammunition. Maybe that’s why the government is stocking up on so much ammunition. Obama and his minions may be seeing this coming and want to get as much ammunition as possible before companies stop selling to the Feds. You never know.

    • Rshill7

Or they may be buying so much so we can’t get it. Have you seen the shortages and the price spikes?

Supply and demand. Government sucking up all the supply. It’s tough to spend a lot of ammo at the range because you don’t know when more will come in.

  • WordsFailMe

SO if the police in Chicago and NY want guns, they’ll have to buy them back from Mexico.

    • notsofastthere

After Mexico they may want to get the weapons back from Benghazi and the Middle East also.
Obama wants every radical armed to the hilt, but not any law abiding American citizens.

      • aliswell

Agreed, NSFT. It appears, actually, that the Obama regime has joined forces with the criminal elements against the law abiders. There’s actually a word for this but for the life of me I can’t find it. It’s a fushion that takes place when a country is nearing collapse, both morally and economically. In truth, the fushion can be law abiders and criminals against a tyrannical government; government and criminals against law abiders; or government and law abiders against a thugocracy. At any rate, it does appear that our government is fusing with the criminals.

Consider that this regime protects and coddles criminals (just look at amnesty, the wooing and marriage of new illegals to the government teat, Fast & Furious, Benghazi, etc), and the criminals are the ones who perpetuate the crimes against mostly law abiders. The criminals will never respect gun laws, so by outlawing guns this government would knowingly be aiding and abetting the criminals, all while disarming the law abiders and rendering them unable to defend themselves from either street criminals or this regime’s criminal intent of tyranny.

It’s enough to make one’s head explode.

        • notsofastthere

Many have been awake for a long time, but being law abiding citizens we keep saying a real crisis hasn’t happened yet. There is time. I fear that the crisis will have already exploded, before people protest in the streets and show rage. By then, it will already be too late. The damage to an entire nation will have already been done.
I really, really, want to be wrong.

I believe our country has already gone over the edge. Like the condemned on death row, it’s a dead country walking. The final blow hasn’t hit yet, but will. After that final blow is when things will get pretty awful, I suspect.

I mourn the loss of my country, but we didn’t stay vigilant ~ a requirement for a free people.

You are spot on. The only thing that is going to save it now IS the Second Amendment right we all possess. Keep your powder dry. Our 2nd Civil War is well on it’s way. The only thing that hasn’t started yet is the shooting.

              • aliswell

And God, my friend. With God on our side, who can stand against us?

  • Sober_Thinking

This is the BEST news I’ve read all year!

Thank you so much for posting this!!!

To include feeding your family with out the fatty additives and supreme less cost. And to defend ones family against the Reich!

  • sjmom

Kudos to the companies. Turnabout is fair play.

Here’s a little humor for the day:

Woman Stops Grizzly Attack With 25 Cal Pistol

This is a story of self-control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator.

What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?
    The Beretta Jetfire 25 caliber:

The woman tells her story. “While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of nowhere. She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive. If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!”

She added further. “Just one shot to my boyfriend’s knee cap was all it took…….the bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.”

In conclusion she stated, “It’s one of the best pistols in my collection.”

  • garyinaz66

while i like and praise the companies involved, it doesnt matter until the big ones like s&w etc… do it. plus we need ammo suppliers to do it, feds have already bought BILLIONS of rounds recently, causing the rest of us to have it unavailable or very expensive.

good p.r. for the smaller guys though.

we need a boycott of the big “guns” so to speak until they do the same. im sure the govt wont mind though, they will buy their guns from china, communist to communist.

  • DCGere

    Excellent!

  • aZjimbo

I am loving this so far.

  • http://boogieforward.us/ K-Bob

This is on topic, but deserves its own post.

    WaPo:
Senators near a deal on background checks for most private gun sales

Evidently Coburn and Kirk are the two Republicans involved in this “bipartisan” rape of the Second Amendment.

  • JoJo58

This is pretty good. Soon the police and other agencies will be crossing state lines to make their purchases….nah, Obama and Eric Holder will sue the companies or somehow force them to sell firearms to anti second amendment municipalities.

    • tinlizzieowner

Yup, they could always buy back what Obama and Holder gave to Mexico, right?
      ;-) ;-)

    I love it!

Watch how these companies become targets for the I.R.S.

    True patriots they are!

  • BS61

    Sweet!

  • bjohnson55

Another way to level the playing field. Not the best way but level it will be.

    • tinlizzieowner

And those who couldn’t care less about ‘the law’ will still have and be able to get, whatever they want. :-(

      • bjohnson55

Then it is time to join the ranks of those who do not care about the law. The law is being changed, we are not changing.

        • tinlizzieowner

Registered guns will be confiscated guns. We have seen this throughout history.
My late father, a WW2 Army MP always had what he called a ‘throw away piece’. If anybody broke into his home, that gun was going to end up in a dead criminal’s hands.
Dead men tell no tales. It’s mine now. ;-) ;-)

          • bjohnson55

Same here, your father was a wise man this world is in dire need of more men like him.

            • tinlizzieowner

Techically, he was my step dad. My real dad crashed his plane and died when I was 7, in 1952. My step dad was the smartest man I ever met. He went from a ‘grease monkey’ to owning his his Corp. and retiring in the time he was my step dad, (1956 to 2007). He is the foundation of my conservative values.
Hard work, even harder dicipline, no nonsense and a devoted love for country. It took me forever to finally ‘grow up’ and realize what he was all about. I thank God every day he lived long enough for me to thank him for the (considerable) effort he put into raising me.

              • bjohnson55

He sounds like he was a no nonsense kick ass American and I am willing to bet he melted on the inside when you thanked him, I know I would if I ever hear it from one of my sons. Like I said before we are in serious shortage of “Old Fashioned” patriots like your step dad.

                • tinlizzieowner

On the outside he was a gruff, no nonsense, 240lb, WW2 Military Policeman to the day he died. On the inside, he was the most fair, just and honest man you could ever hope to meet.
When he was right, he was right. When he was wrong, he was still pretty close to being right. ;-)

This is good news for sure. Thank you to all the companies participating!

  • spin43

Why doesn’t Wal-Mart speak out against our tyrannical government? Oh, I forgot, they are now working with them. The taxpayers will now be subsidizing health insurance for Wal-Mart employees. You are actually paying more for their products than the posted price. Smarten up America before it is too late. Does NBC now have a studio in the White House?

  • bornfreeamerican

Thank you gun companies! If you are in a blue state…come to Texas! Just leave your liberals wherever y came from.

  • WhiteGuy2

Unfortunately this action is too late to have any effect at all other than symbolic resistance. The Fed already has stockpiles of weapons and ammunition to supply a 30 yr civil war.

    • DebbyX

It’s never too late to start!

  • MiketheMarine

I love to hear this and I have a friend who owns a gun shop and he has already cicked all of his cop buddies out. They are still friends but not allow to purchase anything in his store. Oops, feds, now what?

  • http://twitter.com/ScreamN_Messiah Screaming Messiah

Yeah! Maybe some of the ammo stock will be back in stock soon for purchase. Tired of shooting 10g non cycling plastic training rounds.
