At the Oversight committee hearing on Lois Lerner’s lost emails, Elijah Cummings was making the point that the emails being lost by the federal government isn’t something new, that it’s happened before, and he used the Bush administration as an example:
Five million emails, all lost, and all ‘Donna’ Perino had to say for the White House was ‘we screwed up’.
But according to Dana Perino on Twitter tonight, Cummings left out a key detail:
@KatiePavlich did he mention all of those emails were found? So none were lost. That's transparency for ya, right there.

@KatiePavlich I disclosed we worried we'd lost them, but then we found them. They said they had them, then they lost them.

So they weren’t lost at all. That’s something you’d think Cummings would remember, if his job weren’t to lie and obstruct.
