By The Right Scoop

This is ludicrous. Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla) says in the interview that she is trying to calm things down yet she is doing the exact opposite by making this case about race without all the facts, calling for the arrest of George Zimmerman and then spewing such heated rhetoric in saying that Trayvon was hunted down like a rabid dog and shot in the street. Again, no one has all the facts yet.

Watch her interview below:

Well, it is pretty clear that some on the Left want a race war. I hope clearer heads prevail.

    • Sober_Thinking

      Well said… I hope we survive 2012.

This time, it won’t be consolidated on the west coast, unfortunately.

Is the Cowboy hat for real? Good Lord, she dresses like she thinks…

The movie Idiocracy is prophetic. Mrs. Wilson is perfect reminder that our government can be infiltrated by ANYBODY nowadays.

    • keninil

This is the “hat lady”. She has special permission from the Speaker to wear a hat in Congress. Many of her hats are “cowboy” in style.

Nice hat. I’d photoshop her with a clown hat but she saved me the time.

  • johnos2112

If Zimmerman left his complex, hunted a black kid down while in his car, shot and killed the child for no reason, then that is racial profiling. This woman is so full of piss and vinegar that she spews this ignorance. A joke folks! The fuse of the the powder keg is about to be lit!

    • Sober_Thinking

      Ignorance knows no color…

She seems to want more division.

Don’t forget to work that Skittles logo in the outfit somewhere … maybe a high-end collectible Nike shoe ?

  • stevenbiot

Is that what “law” says? Well, since the state attorney threw it out, you don’t have a leg to stand on. And the people threatening him are the “Black Panthers.” When is this freak of congress going to condemn the murder for hire antics of the Panthers? Also, sounds like this chick only appreciates justice if justice is given her way. What a disgrace. She wants Zimmerman arrested for his safety?!?! Haha.

    • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

“Freak of Congress” deserves a like. Nice one.

Oldie but goodie: If “pro” is the opposite of “con”, then what is the opposite of progress?

  • warpmine

Yes by all means Zimmerman should be arrested because Treyvon Martin was a black man and Zimmerman clearly isn’t. If this was a black on black incident you know and THEY know, nothing would be required to be done. Somebody’s a racist and it’s perfectly clear to this citizen who it really is.

Lot’s of young men die every year, be it white, Hispanic or black or any other color ethnicity and not one of those that purportedly care about minorities or civil rights open their collective mouths to say anything about them.

Please excuse me now, I have to pound my head against the wall.

  • WordsFailMe

Try as I can, I just can’t remember that last time a rabid dog grabbed my by the ears and banged my head into the sidewalk.

Maybe rabid dogs in some neighbor hoods can do this, but rarely does it happen anywere else.

Or maybe its the rest of the world that is stupid. Let’s take a vote.

    • stevenbiot

Remember, he was minding his business, eating Skittles and drinking an iced tea. All of the sudden he got shot, for being black and wearing a hoodie, that’s it. As Santorum rightfully yelled, Bullsh@!. In all seriousness, and off topic, do we have proof that he payed for the Skittles and Arizona iced tea?

      • Vornak

Whoa !! If the AP had released your set of facts, after extensive review they would have provided the following correction:

Correction: the first mention of ‘iced tea’ should have been referred to as ‘Arizona Iced Tea’.

    • kong1967

I hear there was a witness to what happened and Zimmerman’s story is (supposedly) true. If this is so, I will change my entire perspective on this.

    • wodiej

      lol…good one.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

Frederica, you have no idea what it is like to be hunted down. When I was 12, my older druggie brother joined two rival gangs in Chicago. They went through me to get to him. That’s being hunted down. Even though every beating and every theft came from black kids, I never once blamed the color of their skin or associated the crime to the race. I blamed it on the gangs and I blamed it on my brother.

As I stated in a previous post on a similar thread, the difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives make the distinction between actions and character. Liberals cannot.

A hispanic man kills a black man and you cry racism even though the black man was on top of the hispanic man beating his head and breaking his nose. If you were on the bottom, wouldn’t you like to have access to a gun?

This is why conservatives are called racist when we disagree with Obama’s policies, because we can separate his policies from his character. Liberals cannot.

This is why Jesus Christ was NOT a liberal. God did not even grant Jesus the right to judge our character. Jesus only judged our actions. He died for our SINS, not for our HEARTS. Jesus broke bread with prostitutes and tax collectors. He did not judge who they were. He judged only actions. Our character is judged later, especially yours, Frederica.

    • las1

Jasper… good post. You are spot on about liberals’ inability to separate character from actions. But it is more apt to say that liberals are incapable of separating character from color, gender, race… whatever identity they put on their protected lists.

You may, however, want to re work you thoughts on what Jesus judged. With God it’s always about motive. He is concerned about how the heart functions in the here and now precisely so that we will not be judged unto condemnation in the future. Because from the heart, actions always follow, God looks at the heart first.

      • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

Exactly, but God judges the heart. Jesus did not die for our hearts. He died for our sins – our actions alone – so that our hearts would change to God’s will – so that we would “choose” the right path. Jesus is our most principled example of separating actions from character.

A grudge is held when people cannot separate the two (or refuses to). That is why the left labels racism with every negative action or speech against a minority. “Racism” is a grudge. “Bigotry” is a term used by people who separate actions from character. “Bigotry” defines the action. “Racist” or “Racism” defines the person, it is a label that binds the person to the action, which is why the left never forgives actions (and in turn people) they perceive as racist.

That was my point in bringing in Jesus. Yes, actions define character, but not because of the actions themselves, but by the choice before the action was performed.

George Zimmerman’s action was to pull the trigger which killed Trayvon Martin. But his “choice” was to live. He had to choose to live or die. George Zimmerman pulled the trigger because he chose to live.

Trayvon Martin’s action was to beat a man after his back was turned and continue to beat him with no sign of stopping. But Trayvon’s “choice” was to hold a grudge against George Zimmerman for having the nerve to stop him and ask him why he was in the neighborhood. Instead of walking away, Trayvon’s “choice” was to attack a man based on his grudge that George must have confronted him because he was black.

Trayvon Martin tragically died, but he died as a result of his choice to attack George Zimmerman and continue to beat him, and George Zimmerman’s choice to not die from that continued beating.

        • las1

Here is where we all get our crystal balls out…We have no earthly idea why Travvon Martin did what he did. We can only speculate. If I were to believe the reports about him… I don’t think it logical to assume he did what he did because he believed Zimmerman was racist. He, like all hoodlums, did what he did because he was a hoodlum. But that is speculation on my part. If they cry racism after the fact, it is only to use it as cover for their misdeeds and to blame society for the rottenness in their own hearts.

Your other thoughts about bigotry/racism/actions I don’t believe are well thought out. I found them a bit fuzzy and after reading it a few times still could not grasp what you are trying to say. If you give it another shot… then maybe I will get it.

The question was not brought up about Jesus dying for our hearts. But yes… he did. So that our hearts would be united to him eternally. Our hearts are renewed by transformation through renewal of our minds (Paul in Romans 12:2) And that renewal comes because we have His Spirit living in us because of salvation. Renewal of our soul is s a process after salvation. “And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind (Luke 10:27) The soul is the place where our mind and our heart meets. Once our minds are renewed… then our hearts follow. Belief occurs in the mind first… then travels to the heart.

What’s clear is that there are two types of sin: Transgression and Iniquity. One is a physical action… one is a heart action or attitude if you will. Jesus died for both and that can be seen in Isaiah 53:5 … he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities…

Anyway… maybe I am putting too fine a point on it… but it’s food for thought my friend.

          • http://www.facebook.com/jaspersilvis Jasper Silvis

Jesus died so that our hearts are free of the burden of sin so we can do the hardest thing of all – forgiving ourselves – so we can move forward in God’s grace and will. I am glad you quoted scripture, but we cannot “renew our minds” if we feel that no matter what we do, we cannot live up to God’s will and are never deserving of Heaven.

I understand what you are saying and you are correct about the. But order is important. For thousands of years, people were told through scripture to love God and to live by His will. But we are fallible in nature and have fallen countless times. Ordering our hearts to feel a certain way has been proven to be impossible, like telling a 5-year-old boy throwing a temper tantrum to just cheer up.

Jesus was born to this world because God understood that we desperately needed an example. We needed to know, through living deed – actions – what it meant to serve the Lord and to live a life of purpose.

But still, even his disciples did not truly “get it”. Jesus died to show us the importance of order: to first rid ourselves of the burden of our actions by forgiving ourselves and others who wrong us; then (and only then) we can truly love God with all our heart, all our soul, all our strength, and all our mind.

Jesus focused on our actions so that we can choose to heal our hearts.

I really enjoyed this thread with you, las1. I learn a lot from this awesome community.

            • Jer22_3

It’s obvious the SOME blacks have forgiven the whites and moved on to making the world a better place, and it’s obvious that some blacks have not but enjoy staying in the death trap of unforgiveness and have become racists and guilty of the same by desire to enslave and destroy the whites or any race other than black.

Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

To all skin colors of proclaiming believers that are racist, you are ‘respecters of persons’.

Jas 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
              Jas 2:2 For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
Jas 2:3 And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool:
Jas 2:4 Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?

Hey that was a great post. I enjoyed reading it.

  • TENCOLE

She looks just as ridiculous as she sounds.

  • Sober_Thinking

This should be illagal. What an abuse of power… what a travesty… what a joke.

These people are a national embarassment.

    • kong1967

Considering how much power our government has, they are an embarrasment to the entire civilized world. Dictators and tyrants must love to see the stupidity and the circus they see on display by the left all the time.

  • Watchman74

This incident was unfortunate and avoidable but it has nothing to do with racism! The left is keeping racism alive.

    • kong1967

Yep, and Obama made sure he fueled it with his “if I had a son it would look like him” comment. They want blacks to feel victimized because it keeps them on the Democrat ticket since Republicans are racist (and we will hear how racist we are 5 million times between now and November).

      • Watchman74

That comment by Obama was just ridiculous and had no relevancy what so ever. He shouldn’t have even commented at all.

        • kong1967

I don’t think it was a slip of the tongue. He wanted to make sure everyone knew he thought it was a racial hate crime.

  • kong1967

Thing is, I don’t give a rat’s behind if he WAS shot because of race. The difference would come in the trial over whether it was murder or self defense, but in the national scheme of things this should not effect how we look at society. One shooting does not represent everyone else. These are not the days of the KKK where lynchings were openly supported..even by a political party….the DEMOCRATS.

  • Amy

I’m really tired of this crap. My only comments to the race baiting, hate mongers is this:

    Bring it.

    • JerrymB

I agree–our town has been readying for this for the last 3 years. And, it is coming.

  • Rshill7

These circus dingbats say in one breath that they are basically not passing judgement on how this case has gone thus far and in the very next breath, possibly the same breath, they say, we need to right this wrong. If judgement has not officially been passed, what wrong must be righted? Wow. That’s called self-rebuttal isn’t it? They are their own rebuttal.

I know, that pink get-up for starters needs to be righted for sure. Yikes. Giddy yap cowgirl! That’s what you’re spewing like a geyser, giddy yap! Never let a good lie go to waste. Those Rugby guys who were nearly railroaded in North Carolina by the prosecutor there along with the regular racebaiters who are prosecuting this case, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Sheila Jackson Lee and Pinky Tuscacowgirl, have never apologized to them have they?

Naaa, just keep taking up for thugs and liars while emulating both behaviors yourselves. The real surprise would be if they said something that was honest, true or made sense.

    • Linky1

“I know, that pink get-up for starters needs to be righted for sure. Yikes. Giddy yap cowgirl! That’s what you’re spewing like a geyser, giddy yap!”

My thoughts exactly when I saw that outfit. Talk about profiling, is she insinuating that all who stand for justice and the truth are a bunch of gun totin’ bible thumping rednecks?

Honesty and truth aren’t in their playbooks, just lies, insinuations and half-truths.

      • Rshill7

Right. Most folks agree that facts are stubborn things. Most folks also do not have the facts here with this case. However, to these who make their living on manufactured racism, facts are irrelevant. Skin color is paramount.

The shooter by the way is a registered democrat and voted for O’. You and others may already know this.

        • Linky1

I already knew about the shooter’s political leanings and his vote for Obama. Unlike the race baiters, I read and follow the news and don’t get caught up fanning the flames of rhetoric.

All we need now is to hear the voice of Dear Leader, telling us to tone down the rhetoric, as he did after the Gabby Giffords shooting. Oh, I guess he can’t do that this time, as he opined that if he had a son, he would look just like Trayvon.

          • Rshill7

He’s just in the akward position of having to act pwesidential, while community agitatin’. It’s twicky.

“Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are.”

            • Linky1

Ummmmmm….was that you Mr. Hill or Barney Fwank?

  • hermsmd

As Rush pointed out yesterday, you can hear the crickets chirping on the La Raza website from here.

It’s all contrived, used for political gain in order to intimidate and bully. Why didn’t the intrepid CNN reporter ask the haute couture cowgirl from Florida to repudiate the bounty set forth by the Black Panthers?

Silence from La Raza is complicity in this political charade.

This gets more sickening by the second.

    September 16, 2011 The Organizers 2 Comments

Van Jones seems to think that the Tea Party is a bubble, a temporary explosion of unhappy racist Americans who hate Obama. What he doesn’t understand, or he knows but does not say, the Tea Party is angry at all government. Its enemy is big government, Republican or Democrat, and the Tea Party is going to be around for a very long time. The Tea Party is growing every day, and the reason the Democrats and some Republicans are against it is because it scares them.

Bernadine Dohrn, The Time Is Right For Revolution
    May 30, 2011 The Organizers

Unfortunately innocent people like the mother of Trayvon has been co-opted by leftists.

Bernadine Dorn, wife of the infamous Bill Ayers, is excited about the possibility of revolution, that the times are right. America is in decline, capitalism is at its end, and the time for revolution is now. Bernadine Dorn believes her country, her government is in her mind, viewed as a terrorist country. Bernadine Dorn is also a part of Code Pink, along with her beliefs against Israel and freedom for Palestinians. Again, I put it out there, that if anyone on the conservative side, or any Tea Party member had said anything resembling this, it would be all over the news, and probably the person would be arrested. There is a huge double standard in this country, we are living off propaganda.

Just another race-baiter fanning the flames while anyone of the same race who tries to be the voice of reason and douse the flames is called “Uncle Tom”. Meanwhile our fearless leader covers in the oval office trying to find a corner and freaking out because there are no corners to hide in.

The same black community who are treating Trayvon Martin pure as the wind driven snow are also the ones who think Obummer is doing a great job. Talk about lack of Individualism and playing into various Stereotypes. The hoods the blacks are donning in Trayvon Martin’s memory is no different than the white sheets and hoods the KKK wore to terrorize black people. LoL

Since when is someone guilty until proven innocent? Shouldn’t she be saving gas, since it’s so expensive instead of pouring it over an already flammable situation? Shameful! Frederica Wilson, you’re an embarrassment and a very poor example of an American, let alone someone in Congress!

Sounds like Frederica is campaigning to be one of our new overlords.
She will decide who is guilty. Forget that whole evidence and presumption of innocence thing.

Well, well, well…Look who is jumping on the Trayvon Martin bandwagon spewing plenty of rhetoric. Guess who voted to pass the Stand Your Ground law when she was a state representative? Yep…Our own little cowgirl Fredrica.

  • cher128

Frederica Wilson is Al Sharpton in a dress. She is a race baiter, buffoon and clown (my apology to clowns everywhere.) That she dresses in these outlandish outfits screams “narcissism.”
Voters in Florida should be ashamed that they put this oaf into office.
Ms. Wilson sets race relations back 200 years and she should be roundly reprimanded by her fellow politicians in Washington as well as her constituency.

Shes is certifiably a crazy person. How could anyone, unless ignorant or being used as a pawn, vote for her?? The people who elected her are the same ones she and Obama promised free gas, free groceries, health care etc. I’m tired of the racist double standard.

When you don’t know the facts and you said the hateful things like Frederica, Jackson and Sharpton, It tells us just who the real racist are. Vote her out.

How in the world is Ms. Wilson a lawmaker for the United States? What a shameful selfserving act by Ms. Wilson. She has relied on only certain facts and already postures herself for the claim of prejudcice within the states attorney office. Ms. Wilson you have proven to the nation that you are nothing more than a racist by attmepting to grandstand with incorrect, uncorroborated facts and questing the state attorney in applying a law when you are supposed to be responsible for upholding the law. It will be shown that this was no case of racial profiling, Mr. Martin WAS acting suspicious, was shot in self defense of an assault that Mr. Martin himself commited. The very reason Stand your Grown was approved in your home state is due to tghe unprovoked attacks that Mr. Martin will be shown to have commited in this case. Ask yourself what would have happened to George Zimmerman (a homeowner in that community who was physically smaller than Mr. Martin, simply watching his own community) if he had not armed himself. I doubt seriously if you would have been speaking out on Mr. Zimmerman’s behalf while he lay in a hospital bed, victimized by another unprovoked attack in his own community! I hope you are preparin your apology in as public a forum as you made these outragious incitiful remarks. This rhetoric does nothing to bring a nation together but only to further polarize it. Shame on the individuals who voted you into office. I hope that mistake is corrected shortly. The Congress is no place for you to spout your own personal prejudices to a nation attmepting to come together. What you did and continue to do is an absolute embarassment to the United States Congress.

right. noone realizes that there very well could be a flip side to this – they will ALWAYS see the pics of the 12 year old on CNN and a fat GZ for 30 days… and there is nothing that will ever convince the reverse racists and CNN loving sheep otherwise.

  • straightalk1

Oh no! What is it going to take to convince the American People to take a step back from this insanity??? Apparently most of us just can not differentiate between the good, the bad, and the ugly…Sure looks like things could get real ugly.

  • http://twitter.com/Pieman211 Pie Man

What is it halloween for this moron with the way she dresses? How could you fools vote an idiot like that into office????

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_QHUQIYLH6IDGWELDEHP2F6N4VM rusk1955

I am stunned that a member of Congress has skipped over that which our justice system is founded on. It is called innocence until PROVEN guilty in a court of law. She cares about skin color much more than the justice system.

  • Michael Mayo

how did this thing get in office???? what are you people drinking in FL???
