Rep. Hank Johnson: “There is no reason to have a debt ceiling at all”

Both Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) and Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) take a stand against the debt ceiling because they arguing it’s doing damage to our economy and it must be eliminated:

Every since Hank Johnson suggested that Guam might tip over, I can’t take him seriously at all. And it’s almost as ridiculous for he and Moran to blame the fact that we have a debt ceiling on our economic problems. I tell you, these radical leftist won’t stop until they spend every single dime of the American people’s money.

This, my friends, is the face of evil.

  • Does Hank also think there’s no reason to have credit card limits?

    • Anonymous

      Of course not! They racist!

      • Anonymous

Yeah. Just another way to keep po folks down.

    • You beat me to it, Adam.

    • Anonymous

      He’s a politician, they don’t have limits…

  • Anonymous

How do you deal with that level of stupidity? Has anyone told him he’s dumber then a box of rocks? If he didn’t affect others it’d be one thing to be that stupid, but he has an important poistion. And has anyone checked the brain waves of those who voted for him?
Yea….Guam might tip over and who needs a spending limit???? The left truly are certifiably insane.

    • Anonymous

“How do you deal with that level of stupidity?”

Well, if you’re a Democrat, you elect him to another term.

      • *rimshot*

      • Anonymous

Please don’t tell me he got re-elected after his Guam comment….please!

    • Anonymous

I hear Guam is at about a 45 degree angle now.

      • No, you just forgot to drink your V-8 this morning.

      • Anonymous

I laughed….then I cried. People elected this moron….real live human beings, voted for an imbecile!

        • Anonymous

Since when do dem’s need real live humans to vote for them. They have dead people and disney character’s.

          • Anonymous

*slaps forehead*…..how could I have forgot that tidbit of info….

        • Anonymous

What worse is they keep RE-ELECTING him!!!

          • Anonymous

Guess on some level that makes sense. Someone that stupid could only draw stupid voters. Takes one to know one…..good grief, what a sad commentary.

Remember in The Chronicles Of Narnia when Aslan warned the Talking Animals that they had been chosen out of the Dumb Beasts, and if they began again to act like the remaining Dumb Beasts, they would return to being Dumb Beasts?

And in another one of The Chronicles where Lucy and Susan had just had a near-death experience with a “Dumb Beast” bear, and Lucy wondered if the time would come in “their” world that men would “go dumb” and wild like the “Dumb Beasts” in Narnia?

If you haven’t already, watch that video of the Sudanese delegates Scoop posted today.

Are you very, very sure we’re still dealing with human beings?

          Cue the Twilight Zone theme….

            Yikes!

      • FishyGov

It’s not Rep. Johnson’s fault. The public school system never taught him that islands aren’t land masses floating on the water or that Congress holds the purse strings of our country.

      • Anonymous

        LOL!

  • Obviously, those politicians never been in business school. What nonsense those democrats will come up next?

  • Anonymous

I would love to see what shape Hank Johnson’s personal finances are in. Care to hazard a guess what his credit score is?

    • Anonymous

      Same as his I.Q. ?

      • Anonymous

        That’s good oak, that’s good.

      • Anonymous

so yer saying a credit score of -50 is not ok?

  • Anonymous

Wow. Really? Well, using that logic, why print money?

  • Note the purple tie.

    • Anonymous

      SEIU issue.

  • Anonymous

Maybe if someone combined the two thoughts together in a pop-up picture graph he would understand the nonsense of his statements better? Obviously just numbers and words are a bit hard for him.

  • These two representatives from the crazy caucus scream “TERM LIMITS”,,,

  • Until they spend it? Uh, the American money has been gone for a long time. Unfunded mandates over 64 Trillion (Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc.), Public Debt at 14 Trillion and rising rapidly, Secret Federal Reserve actions around the world in the Trillions, and National Security Agency budget that is top-secret classified that has to be in the $20 Billion / year range just for starters.

That’s nearly 3 future decades of revenue that is already gone, assuming we last that long which really isn’t possible under that debt load.

Hank Johnson actually said Congress should be “…… allowing the Treasury to do what it needs to do to pay for it……. ”

Is this guy actually a member of Congress?

    Remarkable.

  • Anonymous

How do people of this calibre actually get elected?

    • Anonymous

The same way obama got elected.

  • Anonymous

    Communist caulk suckers!

I think we’ve heard it all before. Republicans evil, Democrats love, repeat after me.
Do we yet again need to remind these two that it was the democrats who held up any kind passing of fiscal responsiblity as the deadline for a budget drew nearer? They had over 2 years to do something, but all they did was talk out of the other side of their mouths- as usual.

Congressman Sisqo strikes again….insert fart noise here.

  • Anonymous

Is this a remake of Dumb and Dumber starring these two idiots? Hey!! My darn desk is tipping over!

  • Anonymous

This is what passes for elite. Good God Gurdy give me the Luddites. As Reverend Wright tarnishes Obama by association this half wit tarnishes congress. When you are in a forced relation with escapees from the cuckoo place you must defend your reputation with vigorous denunciations. Silence implies agreement.

    • Anonymous

Just because you’re elite, it doesn’t mean you’re not dumber than a rock.

  • FishyGov

So, Rep. Hank Johnson thinks Congress passes legislation and it’s the job of the U.S. Treasury to find a way to pay for it. Huh?

This is a transparent attempt to distract the media and the voters from Obama’s many legal problems.

I fully expect the White House to release more barking dogs to distract us.

Normally I would have called them attack dogs but they obviously are all bark and no bit.

  • Josh

Jim Moran must have stepped up and helped Hank out. Last time I saw him he was in a paper bag… lost forever…

  • Anonymous

Every word that comes out of the Democrats’ mouths can be boiled down to this:

“You should give more, so we can spend more.”

And when you ask them, “How
    much should we give?”
They only answer “More! More! More!”

Back when CCR put out the song “Fortunate Son”, Democrats understood this to be a “bad” thing.

    • i’ve always liked Anthem from Rush-
“Begging hands and bleeding hearts will only cry out for more”

  • Anonymous

Hank Johnson actually asked a Navy Admiral if the island of Guam would tip over with too much weight on it…

    • Anonymous

I think we’ve already established that congressman Johnson is about as smart as any door knob in your house. Thanks for posting the link…wowsers, he’s not even embarassed to have said such a stupid thing.

      • Anonymous

‘he’s not even embarassed to have said such a stupid thing. ‘

I know! Amazing. Or maybe he didn’t understand he was wrong . . .

        • Anonymous

Did or didn’t know he was wrong…either way, it still rises to the level of dumber then dumb.
An elected official doesn’t think we need a debt ceiling….that’s why we’re in such deep doo-doo.

  • I’ll use your argument when I call my credit card company and tell them that them imposing limits on my card hinders me from stimulating the economy..

    • Anonymous

I tried that before. They told me to stimulate this.

  • Anonymous

Man, if men of this caliber make it to Congress, I think we should give Alvin Greene a shot.

    • Anonymous

We elected a candidate with similar qualifications last time, no?

  • KenInMontana

I beg to differ Scoop this is not the face of evil, it is the face of stupid. How does this guy’s brain remember to tell him to breathe?

  • Hank and Moran couldn’t get cash out of an ATM unless it was tied to a congressional post office scheme. The Chicago game “Pay to Play” keeps all those running up for more.

    • Anonymous

They must think they’re still in Atlantic City at the casinos.

  • Anonymous

Hanked Johnson is on crack. when he needs more crack he’ll come up to you with crusty white powdered lips and say “common man, i’ll suck yo d…*”

  • can i hit them with a really big common sense stick? please can i?!

    • Anonymous

Yes you may! That was funny!

  • Anonymous

“Yeah, so DC can spend all the money in the whole world for 10 generations forward at no cost to the damocrats and it’s Bush’s fault too” Too goofy for words.

  • Anonymous

Boy ! How would you like to try and balance his check book? On second thought…..Oh just let Guam go ahead and tip over.

  • Anonymous

This is the same guy that said the island would tip over and sink if enough people went over to the other side of it. Remember that?

  • Anonymous

Shared on my facebook page. These two idiots think like the Federal Reserve Bank – “Debt is an Asset” in their mindset. We the people are the collateral for all the debt. In other words – debt is the government creating enslavement of the people.

  • I hate to break it to you, but they already have spent every dime of our money.

  • In other words, we don’t see that the People have ANY control of our reckless, immoral and insane spending. And furthermore, the People can go straight to he11 as far as we are concerned.

  • And where is the Fed going to get the money to pay for it all? From Obama’s stash!
