Rep. Jason Chaffetz slams former GSA administrator during House Oversight hearing

Oh man. Rep. Jason Chaffetz goes after this former GSA administrator over her characterization that her people were ‘entitled’ to bonuses despite Obama’s pay freeze:

“Oh I think you did mean ‘entitlement’.” — HA! That was golden.

Whether she did or not is really beside the point. With all the wanton abuse of taxpayer money in the GSA, I really can’t blame Chaffetz for lecturing her one bit on their feeling of entitlement.

Courageous, especially when staring down a national debt of $15Tn. Not like I disapprove, but the rage for this is easy whereas the rage against years of government waste on stupid wars, useless bureaucracy and the like is muted because we are afraid of taking the knife to DC’s most sacred cows.

      Throwing us a bone.

    • CalCoolidge

Not to nitpick, but by now, the nat’l debt probably tipped past 15.5, so we might as well say 16T.

My shallow comment of the day – is it a requirement for liberal women to be butt-ugly? Setting unHolywood aside, these ladies make my lip curl & my skin crawl, for cryin out loud! I dunno. I’m just being a jerk for a moment – the crimes of GSA are so completely irrefutable and glaring that I had to comment on something else that I noticed… Maybe with the women being so nasty & all the same-sex pairings, Liberals will render themselves onto the Endangered Species list since they can’t procreate.

Ok, mean-streak is over. Thanks for letting me rant.

    • She reminded me of one of the spinsters on Little House on the Prairie. I think Alonzo’s sister?

      • Almonzo was Laura’s husband. That lady is like Nelly Olsen.

        • Is_Sense_Common

Oh – Nelly worked really hard to be “pretty” – there were some cranksters on there who thought the Ingalls’ girls were a little too progressive… (I still watch it occasionally with my kiddos!! :))

      • Is_Sense_Common

        YES!! You nailed it!

My biggest issue with Gay Couples/Marriage is that they want to adopt innocent babies without any concern for the child’s well being. They toss aside the child’s best environment, that being to have a Mother and a Father figure for the best chance at a well-rounded upbringing. Depriving the child of a mother or a father is not in the best interest of the child, but they don’t care about that, they have an agenda to push. They want to prove to the world that Gay parenting is as good if not better than Heterosexual parenting at the peril of the innocent. I have no issues with gay couples doing what they want inside the confines of their own homes but I do have a huge issue with them pushing their gay agenda at the cost of a child’s healthy upbringing.

I don’t care how cool the kids today think gay relationships are, a Marriage should only be between a Man and a Woman, PERIOD! If a gay couple wants to get married then one of them can get a sex change operation and then they can get married. Plenty of people hate me for my stance on this issue, even my own son can’t understand why I feel the way I do. The issue isn’t about the gay couple as much as it is about the innocent child’s mind they are going to warp.

Unfortunately the Gay community is procreating through the indoctrination process in our Schools and on TV/Hollywood. Gay is all the rage to the new generations. It’s no wonder so many parents are turning to private schools or home schooling.

Now let’s see how many haters there are…lol!

      • Defytheleft

Wrong thread- this had nothing to do with homosexual adoption.

But while you mention it, there are plenty of abandoned children out there who would love to have a good loving home and to be provided for- regardless of the adopting parent(s) sexual orientation.

For the record, I don’t hate you for being wrong on this issue.

        • PFFV

My reply was to Is_Sense_Common, right thread.

“there are plenty of abandoned children out there who would love to have a good loving home and to be provided for- regardless of the adopting parent(s) sexual orientation.”

That is the shallow argument most leftists make in an attempt to justify Gay Couples adopting children. I respectfully disagree 100% but nice try.

    • wodiej

An unnecessary and hateful comment. Does it bother you when people like Sarah Palin get called a c**t or is that worthy of rebuke because she’s conservative? Your rant looks like it was written by a liberal.

  • OHHHHH MAN!!!!! That made my day! That had to hurt. Love it! Thanks Scoop!

  • WordsFailMe

I picture that foul little worm being told by her boss to review the regulations and issue some bonuses.

Someone please tweet this b*****’s address!

She used “entitled” because she was the reviewer. Her boss was entitled, by regulation, his boss was entitled, by regulation, their friends were entitled, by regulation. These are thieves. They were trusted and proved too corrupt for the responsibility. Purge these foul White bureaucrat Uncle Toms, sycophants, mindless, communist cannon fodder who wallow in the public trough.

End Public Union Collective Bargaining rights forever!

  • Defytheleft

I would have loved to seen more of that exchange. Too short of a video clip.

    • brendawatkins

You can go to the gov. oversight website, and watch the hearings.

  • Josh

    Oh, SNAP!

  • brendawatkins

Chaffetz, doesn’t sugar coat things.. he did a jam up job in the fast and furious hearings too.. as did Trey Gowdy, and a few others.

  • stevenbiot

Winning!!!!!! I love when these government wankers get served some reality, and they are forced to swallow.

  • poljunkie

…The smirk on her face was ridicules.

    • What’s up with the GSA spending over 800,000.000 on parties, and frivolous travel?

    • The secret service embroiled in a partying and prostitution scandal.

    • Imagine if this occurred during the last administration. The media coverage would be insane.

    • veek46

My thought is if the secret service doesn’t respect the President then these things happen. Since the President is a joke, their jobs become a joke too.

    • Good points pol! I’ve wondered practically every time dear leader does something or says something what the lamestream lapdogs would do if it were coming from Bush.

  • BS61

Oh, I’ve been seriously in love with this man for a while now!

  • kong1967

Brings back memories of the massive spending going on the the Pentagon with the use of charge cards. Just think, this isn’t just an isolated incident. 80% (I believe) of taxpayer money is being wasted in one way or another. Either like this, fraud, programs that shouldn’t exist, Salindra, ACORN, or bla bla bla. Our government could (and should) survive on much less, yet they can’t find anything to cut.

  • wodiej

Well one Tea Party member who stepped up. Any other Republicans say much?

  • denbren52

The real problem here is that these GSA parasites will take the heat for a few minutes in a Congressional hearing and then go back to business as usual. Same thing with the AG’s office, ATF, the White House, etc.

Can somebody tell me what good comes out of Congressional hearings if no one gets fires or goes to jail for their actions?

    • FreeManWalking

      Nailed it!

  • It’s about time we zeroed in on the unelected bureaucrats who feel “entitled” to ours and future generations wealth! We need to keep eliminating programs and departments till were down to about 10% of current levels.

  • 2ndMarDiv

The word “ENTITLEMENT” needs to removed from our language.

    • FreeManWalking

      Entitlement doesn’t Kill Entitleies DO!

I would rather remove those stealing from us in the name of “Entitlements” be removed from our country.

  • Sober_Thinking

    Love this guy.

  • FreeManWalking

We need to be TEA partying in the front yards of these bureaucrats houses we are paying for while the OWS crowd is occupying our parks.

Off to pay for another GSA Party!

  • Amy

I think we’ve found another government agency that needs to be much, much smaller and have it’s budget cut dramatically. The electrical contractor I work for does quite a bit of work on military bases and we’ve had to have someone devoted to navigating the paperwork required for all GSA contracts. It’s ridiculous the amount of government red tape BS you have to cut through to bid on a GSA contract. It then doubles if you do get the job. All that amounts to is job security for government workers…

  • 12grace

Rep. Jason Chaffetz is an honorable man.

Why do we have the GSA , again?

  • DebbyX

I would like to have seen a lot more of that one!

  • Winghunter
