REPORT: Four Cincinnati IRS workers claim they were just doing what their bosses ordered

Fox 19 is reporting that they have learned exclusively that there are four employees who have each worked at the Cincinnati IRS office in the Exempt Organization department who are saying they were just doing what their bosses told them to do. Fox 19 has confirmed that these four individuals sent out queries to Tea Party groups for this burdensome information, however they are withholding their names until they can verify they are at the center of the scandal.

Were they newly hired from the several thousand that they hired.  I think we need to revisit the DHS’ bullet purchases and drones  Talk about “Targeting”  oy?!

  • DCGere

    And the plot/scandal thickens…

  • TinaG123

This whole thing goes back to the West Wing, and by the end of the year proof will appear, which leads to this.

  • Stehekin912

Tell the truth people!  Do not let yourselves be sacrificed on the ThatGuy Altar!

    • nosilasunny

Yes, “do not go gentle into that good night”!

  • njmom

I have no doubt the employees were ordered by their supervisors who were ordered by, who were ordered by etc til the path leads to the doors of the WH.

    • Stehekin912

Remember the Nuremburg Trials.  I was only following orders didn’t do well as an excuse.

    • m0r0

njmom leads at least to Ploofy and Axelrod. After that do you really even need more poof?

    • CalCoolidge

njmom Included on the list of organizations hassled is the one Obama loves to hate publicly – Americans for Prosperity.  So, they were following orders.

    Roll up the “Paddy Wagon”
    Just before Lunch time –
Make sure at least one Press Camera is present
Arrest at least 10 (to start with)
    THEN watch the “BIRDIES” sing
    I am so excited !!!!!!

  • Booker

Man, if I was in this situation, I’d rat everybody out. I’m not going down alone! LOL!!! That’s what I think is going on here!

  • badbadlibs

Well, well, well…’s hoping those going down aren’t going to go alone. I hope someone, somewhere was smart enough to keep records.

  • mike3e4r7

It looks like the “small caba of low-level agentsl” theory  is sinking fast.  What a surprise.

    • E Lee Zimmerman

mike3e4r7 We’ll see once it’s verified.  At this point, I wouldn’t take their word for it; if they were directed to do it, then let them come forward as whistleblowers.  But they would’ve been educated about what was inappropriate, and they should’ve known that their behavior was illegal.

  • Judges718

As Dana Loesch so aptly pointed out, the majority of tea party leaders are women.  So, can we now say the IRS is sexist and conducting a “War On Women”?
Where is NOW and the other assorted feminist groups defending female Tea Party leaders bullied by the IRS?  Where is Sandra Fluke speaking up for the rights of female Tea Party leaders?

    • 3seven77

Judges718 Conservative women pay for their own birth control. Sandra Fluke can’t relate.

    • CalCoolidge

Judges718 No more than Bill Clinton conducted a war on women.

  • E Lee Zimmerman

Well … what can we say?  If you behave in a way that you should already know is unlawful, then I don’t feel any pity for you.

  • GetWhatYouPayFor

Joe Wilson is my hero. He boldly admonished the President when it wasn’t popular…..”YOU LIE”!   Now it is proven fact. Thanks, Joe.

  • R3C0nD0

I don’t know folks I too want to see how far the rabbit hole goes. But I’m not holding my breath. We have a Speaker of the House that has no spine and the Senate Democrats headed by Harry Reid and they are like party first them selves second and at a distant third “We The People”. This is going to be a real up battle.

    • badbadlibs

R3C0nD0 I fear you are correct.
Apparently the house isn’t too worried about this either:

      • Stehekin912

Kick out Boehner!  Allen West for Speaker!

        • badbadlibs

Stehekin912 I was thinking the same thing all day. What a different story this would be if Allen West was speaker! Heads would have already rolled! The liars would have been outed for what they are….liars.

        • R3C0nD0

Stehekin912 You know you got choice and point there. You know what makes it even better? You don’t have to be a elected member of congress to be speaker of the House. The Reps can vote any U.S. Citizen to be speaker.

  • tshtsh

I understand two IRS employees have left.  Do you know if they just retired.

    • Bac Si68

tshtsh Has not been reported.  Vegas is making odds they will be hired by a far left organization.

  • kong1967

Of course.  We all knew this to be the case, but Obama will blame lower level saps and walk away clean.  I hope these squeelers reveal a lot.

    • PhillyCon

kong1967 Here’s hoping.  There’s no way random bureaucrats cooked up this scheme.

      • kong1967

        PhillyCon   Ring leader…..Obama.

So was the ‘SS’ in Germany in the 30’s/40’s. 😉
Threaten to ‘can’ these 4 and take away their union pensions and they will sing like their on American Idol.

  • DaxDushkewich

When the Nazi’s in WW2,were Gassing the Jews they were just following Orders also.

    • CalCoolidge

DaxDushkewich Except that Seargeant Shults, aka Hillary Clinton, from the TV show,  “I know nothing.”

  • TruthSociety

Instead of giving mealy mouth comments without any teeth  Boehner now needs step up and appoint a special prosecutor that will not be afraid of the press or Chicago style tactics. The time is now and either he is the man for the moment or there is something diabolically wrong with his hesitance.

    • PhillyCon

TruthSociety Boehner seems to bring the proverbial knife to a gun fight, doesn’t he?

  • Conniption Fitz

Rich Vail comments at Legal Insurrection:
“What no one here seems to realize, is the IRS Comm’s term ends in June. His “resignation” is “effective in June.” It’s all smoke and mirrors. He’s not getting kicked out. He did what he was supposed to do…effectively remove the Tea Party movement from the 2012 elections. He did that. He’ll go to some VERY well paid private company as a consultant, and not have to do anything for the $$$ he gets there. Political pay off in spades.”
Political Payoff with YOUR money, of course.   We the People are the dupes who pay for this kind of continued skullduggery and corruption.

    • patriot077

Conniption Fitz Another thing I have seen from only one source – Michelle Malkin – is that the guy that took the hit (who was at the end of his term anyway) was also the scum that ran the IRS witchhunt for the Clintons. Mark Levin talked about the Clinton era harrassment but I didn’t hear it if he spoke of this guy by name.

  • CalCoolidge

Ah, the Nuremburg Defense.  We were only following orders.

  • colliemum

This just goes to show that these four IRS agents who claim they were’ just following orders’ have had an extremely progressive education, where nothing much about History was taught. Else they’d surely have known that this ‘Nuremberg Defence’ doesn’t wash.
Of course, with such progressive education they’d also never learned that in the Armed forces, soldiers of all ranks can refuse to follow an unlawful order by their superiors, without being punished in one way or another.
Btw, as we have seen in the case of George Hicks, the various superiors in the various Departments look more and more as if they were and are applying techniques so far known only from Stalinist states.
Several new and preferably iron brooms are needed to clean out these nests of vipers.

  • towerclimber37

I seem to remember Valerie Jarrett saying that it was payback time and they’d reward those who helped them and destroy those who opposed them.
I believe that she absolutely had something to do with this. Either way, I’m not filling out any more personal information for them.
No obamacare docs come tax time. I will happily write “GFY” with a huge black sharpie.
That ship sailed. I’m done co-operating with people like this in the hopes that they’ll see the light, learn bi-partisanship, or actually READ the constitution.
“I was just following orders” ain’t gonna cut it with me. I’m sure the IRS agents will say the same thing when that armor piercing .308 round burns through their body armor in the hallway of my house as they come to confiscate my possessions “for the good of the country”.

    • GWShrub

I’m with you!  GFY sounds like a good slogan to shout as I loose some 12ga slugs with #00 B-Bs in them.  A 12ga slug will pierce an angine block, just fyi.

  • PhillyCon

Of course they were acting on orders.  So, one day a low level IRS worker says, “Hey, I’ll start targetting groups with Patriot and Freedom and ‘educate the Constitution.'” Just for kicks and grins? I don’t think so.

    • firegeorge

PhillyCon If this was SOP that came from the top.

  • The Sentinel

Only Cincinnati? What about the other locations?
Maybe these four and MORE will plea bargain and become whistle-blowers to testify about what really happened?
This is a Massive scandal. I hope there aren’t a few scapegoats who are prosecuted… this should go all the way up… because evidence indicates that it did.

    • Bac Si68

The Sentinel  Could one of these 4 people be Obama’s, John Dean.  Maybe now we can have some hope and change.

  • Conniption Fitz Report: IRS denied tax-exempt status to pro-lifers on behalf of Planned Parenthood…

  • MacWell

Yeah, that’s totally believable. Four, mid level gubment employees, all on their own, decided to hell with my (job for life, pension for life, healthcare for life), and all the perks that go with it, we guys are going to have some fun and harass conservatives. If something happens, we can always blame someone else. Unless there were large sums of money being exchanged, or they were ordered to do it by those above them.

    • lawngreen

      MacWell Well said. Excellent refutation.

The obama regime could not tell the truth if their lives depended upon it.

  • ChesterSimms

Why do these people keep saying Cincinnati office.  They make it sound like it was some local IRS office.  It is a national IRS office, merely based in Cincinnati.

  • brjohnson

My father was a plumber and a very wise man. He taught me three very important principles before he passed on.
    1. Human excrement flows downhill in pipes.
    2. Never stand at the bottom of that pipe since now you know what is guaranteed to come out of it.
    3. Never, ever chew your finger nails after working on said pipe.
These mid-level managers forgot or somehow did not know what was flowing through the pipe they were working on. So they were caught standing at the bottom of that pipe and got stuff all over them. The guys above them are now trying to force them to chew on their own fingernails and the light bulb finally came on?
Bottom line is no matter what position you hold in life you know the difference between right and wrong. The difference between good character is not what you do when other people are watching it is what you do when there is nobody watching. Unfortunately it seems basic rules of right and wrong are no longer taught. What a shame…

  • Laurel A

Of course they were…and were the workers in Dc and California also doing just what their bosses ordered?

Wide spread pattern of corruption that shows this was the practice of this administration not an isolated incident.

  • lawngreen

The Nuremberg trials all over again. God grant that we find a way to stop this now, before the “goosh-stepping morons” (to quote the elder Dr. Jones) actually start carrying out mass murders of uncooperative citizens.

  • NJK

Of course they were.  And it all started at the top, from the man who gets in front of a microphone with the teleprompter, and acts outraged.  Then those behind the scenes do the dirty work for him.  This way he can stay in office and cover for those doing the dirty work.  It’s all a big scam, with Obama acting as the outraged third party, who just doesn’t know why his people are doing this.  I hope he drops dead from a heart attack one day when he’s up their spewing his lies.

  • yazz55

    Rouge IRS agents my a**.
The IRS is run by the most arrogant liberal extremist union called nteu.  Ya can’t so much as sneeze without proper authorization, or them knowing in full about anything and everything that goes on there.
They were mainstream, from their liberal extremist perspective and only doing their jobs, with complete and/or tacit knowledge of their superiors.  The real question is to find out just how far up the food chain this emanates from.  There are likely no written orders, none needed, nor necessary.
Because of the union’s power, the worst that will happen to these IRS agents is they will get their hands slapped for getting caught and get re-assigned to another post somewhere else to practice their craft.  To the twisted liberal extremist mentality, this behaviour should merit a promotion and pay raise.

  • kong1967

This was obvious from the beginning.  The problem is much more widespread than Cincinnati.  It’s impossible to have rogue employees in different places doing the exact same thing that is highly illegal and unusual.  If it was just Cincinnati, it might be credible that it was just a few rogue employees that worked together, but the facts show that it had to have a ring leader way at the top.
    That ring leader is Obama.

  • K-Bob

Scoop’s post here was linked in Larwin’s Links, over at Doug Ross’ site.  Woo-hoo!

STORY OF OBAMA THE SNAKE There once was an old man who lived by himself in a cabin in the woods. He didn’t mind living lonely. He was used to it. He didn’t even own a dog. One rainy evening he went out to check the animals in his barn. The ground was all covered in wet leaves and little twigs that snapped under his boots. He had turned and was heading back to the fire in his little house when he heard a Weak little crying coming from the leaves by a big oak tree. “Help me” he thought he Heard a voice say. The old man looked around startled and say “Is there someone there?” Over here the voice told him So he looked and saw a little snake hardly moving at all. “Help I’m so hungry and cold here in the rain. Please take me inside your nice warm cabin mister. The man thought and said. How do I know you won’t bite me? You are a snake after all. “Oh I promise. Just feed me and give me a place to sleep. Please. Oh, please. “OK”, said the fellow who picked up the snake and took him inside by the fire. Later after they both had some dinner and the man was filling his pipe and as he was looking for his bag of tobacco, he thought he felt something sharp on his neck. “Ouch!” Did you just bi
THE te me Mr. Snake. “Yup! I did bite you right on your stupid neck”. “Well, why did you bite me after I was so nice to you and after I trusted you?” The snake looked him right in the eye and said, “Mister, you knew what I was when you brought me in here.
