Fox News is reporting that despite changes made to last night’s bill, Marco Rubio is still not on board with the tax bill:
The reason this is a problem is that the final text has been released to members of Congress and once the bill is signed by lawmakers later today, no more changes can be made to it. So unless they make any more changes to the bill before that happens, Rubio may be a solid no vote.
However something tells me that this is just a negotiation tactic and at the end of the day he will be voting for the bill. But that’s just pure speculation on my part.
As far as Mike Lee, Bob Corker, and Susan Collins, they say they will need to read the bill before they can say whether or not they support it.
So look for this drama to continue into the weekend.
