Looks like what we heard before about Russia being ready to defend Iran and Syria is true. And note Russia is building up on Iran’s northern border, right next door to Azerbaijan. Yeah, I don’t think that’s a coincidence at all:

BUSINESS INSIDER – The Russian military anticipates that an attack will occur on Iran by the summer and has developed an action plan to move Russian troops through neighboring Georgia to stage in Armenia, which borders on the Islamic republic, according to informed Russian sources.

Russian Security Council head Viktor Ozerov said that Russian General Military Headquarters has prepared an action plan in the event of an attack on Iran.

Dmitry Rogozin, who recently was the Russian ambassador to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, or NATO, warned against an attack on Iran.

“Iran is our neighbor,” Rogozin said. “If Iran is involved in any military action, it’s a direct threat to our security.” Rogozin now is the deputy Russian prime minister and is regarded as anti-Western. He oversees Russia’s defense sector.

Russian Defense Ministry sources say that the Russian military doesn’t believe that Israel has sufficient military assets to defeat Iranian defenses and further believes that U.S. military action will be necessary.

The implication of preparing to move Russian troops not only is to protect its own vital regional interests but possibly to assist Iran in the event of such an attack. Sources add that a Russian military buildup in the region could result in the Russian military potentially engaging Israeli forces, U.S. forces, or both.

Truly, we are living in the last days.

    • Conservative_Hippie

      Gog and Magog.

      • drphibes

Not to start an eschatological quarrel, but Hal Lindsay’s newspaper theology went out the window thirty years ago. This falls under the general Biblical heading of wars and rumors of war, not a direct prophetic event.

        • Conservative_Hippie

I agree that eschatalogy is not something to quarrel over (even my wife and I have differeing opinions), but to totally remove Gog and Magog from prophecy is a mistake. I will agree that we should be careful to label a current event as a specific Biblical prophecy, but all I was referring to was that Russia was comming from the North and so will Gog. Now whether Russia is the “Gog” mentioned in the Bible is up for debate. Also I would say that to totally bury our heads in the sand while current events happen around the world is wrong also, because God commands us to “watch” – Matthew 25:13. But maybe I misunderstand you?

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/YGEJBHVLFAJ6YB2R46ZUHM63YU Ronald

The wars and rumors of wars happen after all communication and infrastructure has been destroyed, after this coming war of biblical proportions. All information will travel by word of mouth as we are cut off from knowing anything. Those of us outside of population centers will see smoke and mushroom clouds in the distance but won’t know any facts. Stock up on the food and water, guns and ammo, ish is about to get thick!

    • Kelly60

Yep, all you gotta do to know the outcome is read the Bible.

Relax. It is not time yet. But it is going to be interesting to see Obama melt under the pressure.

Cold war is back on, KGB is back in control.

WW3 already started… we just used surrogate countries to fight each other. Looks like we’re back at it.

    Traitor Obama

  • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Cold war part deaux, the only problem is, last time we had Ronald Reagan…. now we have dear leader saying, “Just tell Vlad, I’ll work with him once my re election is secured.”
It’s not Ezekiel’s war yet, but it’s coming on. So is Isaiah 17:1-3 soon…
The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

    • Nukeman60

I’ve got my Middle east map up on the wall, stick pins on the table and Bible in hand. It’s showtime, folks. No cold war here. It’s going down, and Obama will help all he can, if it gets the elections suspended and keeps him in the New Black Panther Crib (formerly known as the White House).

Time to pray for Israel. Russia means to take her out this time. Previous attempts by the inept Arabs weren’t good enough. The Red Bear must take control this time.

      • Cindy09

Yep, I agree: no cold war here. This is the real thing.

      • virginiagentleman1

        Gog Magog time?

        • drphibes

No. Egg Nog is served at Christmas. Don’t you know your holidays?

        • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

Not quite my VirginaGentleman. In that one, Israel is described to be at peace, a “city without walls”… there are a few different wars, I believe this one will be leading up to Gog/Magog. If Israel will be at peace, then whatever war comes before Ezekiel, Israel will win… with the Lord demonstrating His love for His people :-)

          • veek46

Psalm 83 talks of such a war leading up to Ezekiel 38,39 War of Gog/Magog.

            • http://no-apologies-round2.blogspot.com/ AmericanborninCanada

That’s the one I was thinking about. Thanks veek :-)

  • 3seven77

Why do I feel like America is stuck with our pants down?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_E4C65QOIQ4XH67F6MEHWTXGODY Alan

    Obama showing his “flexibility?”

There will be no elections this year.

    • Cindy09

This is a scary thought but not impossible!

  • WordsFailMe

I picture Obama either wetting his pants or dancing around the room sucking his thumb.

Either way, the picture ain’t pretty.

Russia, fulfilling their part of the bargain with President Dipstick.
    (Dipstick? Flexible? hehehe)

    • NYGino

WFM, dipstick? Funny, I used mine today and found I was low too.

  • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

I blame Obama for this. I strongly believe that he WAS responsible for leaking the intel of Israel’s airbases to the press, and the world. Now, both Iran and the Soviets are aware of this, and preparing for it, as well as possibly preparing for not only a counterstrike against Israel, but possibly a preemptive strike. If Israel does come into conflict with the Soviets and the Iranians, I also just as strongly believe that Obama will do little, or nothing, about it, except, perhaps, urge restraint on the part of the Israelis, who have been doing nothing but playing defense, from the beginning.

On the other hand, if Obama does half-assed try living up to America’s commitment to peace and security in the region through works with Israel, something that predated him and his dishonest rise into politics, he will put an already mismanaged, under funded and under equipped Department of Defense against a pair of dangerous, notorious enemies that have hated America, freedom and everything else good and just in the world, since their very inception as governed nations. This will bring us closer to nuclear warfare, than they claimed Reagan ever did, and the fault for this lies squarely on Obama’s head, and that of Congress, both Republican and democrat, alike, for not stopping him when they could’ve, and taking no steps to stop him, now. 450 – 500 People should be impeached, right now, throughout the Executive and Legislative branches, and many should be seeing criminal charges in conjunction with that. It never fails that the leftists that claim they’re the most dedicated to peace and criticizing Republicans that, in their eyes aren’t, end up getting the most people killed in combat, including both Clinton and Obama.

    • K-Bob

      Spot on, VX

    • Kelly60

Yes, and where are our Congressmen (women) on this treason…? Crickets.

    • 4Hoppes2

Talk about underfunded, and under equipped, the USS Enterprise is just about running on fumes and should have been decommissioned instead of sitting in the Straits of Hormuz like a plump chicken ready for someones dinner.

      • http://black-avenger-1.livejournal.com/profile VirusX

The Enterprise shouldn’t have just been decommissioned (which it is scheduled to be, 2012/12/1), it should’ve been decommissioned months ago, and instead of naming a carrier after a worthless buffoon of a RINO, Gerold Ford, milquetoast extraordinaire, the entire CLASS should’ve been named the Enterprise class, with the CVN-65 being the first in the class. The ship, and probably everyone that’s ever even so much as looked at it, has done more, and more good, for this nation than Ford and Obama, combined, ever have, and ever will. Hopefully, there will never be a USS Barack HUSSEIN Obama. EVER.

        • K-Bob

Bad enough they’re naming one after Murtha.

        • sno_warrior

My brother was on the Enterprise when they were evacuating Vietnam. Just to get off the Enterprise he rode a few ‘gunboats’ up the Mekong Delta.

        • Josh

I think they should name one of the inflatable rafts the U.S.S Obama. Then fill it with hope and change and set it aflame in the middle of the ocean and sail away at flank speed.

Luke 21:20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. 22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written. 23 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. … 34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. 35 For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

      • mike morrison

this, IMO, is talking about the Roman sacking of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple not present day unless you believe that we are now at the fulfillment of the times of the Gentiles–which we may be–but that assumes that the last 2000 years of history concerning Israel has already happened in this passage from Luke…not that all of this is about to happen.

      • sno_warrior

Luke 21:20-24 happened in 70 AD at the destruction of Jerusalam.

Verses 34-36 certainly do have application to the last days.

Do not underestimate the bloodthirstiness of Barrack Hussein Obama. The sissified, bicycle riding wussy we love to make fun of is nothing of the sort. His spirit IS weak, and those are the leaders who are most dangerous.

The economy is trashed, he knows it because he is purposefully bringing it down. Politics is no longer noble, because he is purposefully making the language and culture toxic. The media are his propaganda, because they do what they are told, like the good little drones that they are. War will consolidate his power.

A dollar crash and bursted bond bubble combined with a geopolitical event will cement his power. 2012 might be our last election.

    God help us.

  • Rshill7

Well, let’s take a tally. WW1-democrats. WW2-democrats, Korea-democrats, Vietnam- democrats. The atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, democrats. Do they have room to talk regarding war? Is Hell no or F-no a better response to that self-answering question?

Since each large war takes us closer to fiscal insolubility and takes out more of our young men, is it any wonder? Methinks those lefties, who learned and grasped their lefti-ism during the 60’s are growing impatient. They want to see their flower world called Utopia/Arcadia before they eat dirt dagnabbit! It’s coming. Is it Armageddon? Why couldn’t it be? When you see armies amassed, surrounding Israel, will that be a sign? I think so. When you see Russia attacking Israel will that be a sign? Most definitely.

What’s going on? Prophecy standing up and stretching that’s what. Prophecy trying on it’s current day clothing. Flapping it’s wings. Prophecy lulling you to sleep as it overtakes you unawares. Maybe not some you so much as others.

Keep your eyes and ears open. Give Christ your heart. The end of the story has already been written. Time is simply casting the players.

    • BSScoop

The last war an ideologically conservative president fought was Greneda. No biggee. Before that, the Spanish American War, trumped up by media lies about the USS Maine and a bunch of war hungry democrats. McKinley finally entered the war and kicked ass, very few casualties on our side and it ended quickly. I would even argue that Lincoln had big government tendencies and his actions during an unnecessary War Between the States (it was NOT a civil war) were the seeds that Progressives would later exploit. Fiat currency, income taxes, suspension of civil rights during manufactured emegencies.

Conservatives don’t start wars, power hungry leftists do.

Add this to the news that China’s missing one of it’s top Maoist Leaders, and it’s not looking good… Russia and China have been helping Iran with their nuclear capabilities, and no one calls them on it.. kinda like the elephant in the room no one wants to point out… I feel war is inevitable.

  • WordsFailMe

Alinskis advised that one attack one’s opponents even if it were a false attack Keep him off balance, out of his comfort zone. Isolate him, freeze him

Black murderers and their stuttering slurred speeches fill the airwaves. White kids burned and/or hammered senseless by useful black thug idiots. Van Jones preaching righteous indignation! And now we’ve got Russians in the perimeter!

Scared yet? Because scared is what they want.

If you can cower your enemy, make him believe that he is beaten or will be beaten, sometimes you can win the war without firing a shot. You can rape his women as they are presented to you, the victor, by the weak and the cow-ed and the defeated.

Genghis was good at that. His armies would so devastate a community with rape, death fire and enslavement that the word preceded the march. Powerful cities spread their gates, paid him tribute, fed his horses, bore his sons and raised them as good muslims.

Are you scared yet? That’s what they want.

This conflict is not about a bunch of noisy black bulls****s in FL. Its about tyranny, it’s about power to control resources including entire human populations. You don’t need to put a chain around a man’s ankle to enslave him. Get him upside down on his mortgage and he’ll spend years on his knees.

Are you scared yet? That’s their objective….

I say, make sure that you can pull the trigger on a target. Purge your hate and anger and stiffen your resolve. This is the only America you can escape to. I ain’t going nowhere, baby.

Jn the mean time we must reverse what the marxists have done and bring God back into the center of American and Canadian life! Over the last 50 years believers have allowed godless politicians to remove God from schools, courts, and statehouses.

It seems that the more we remove God from daily life, the worse things get in America, or any nation for that matter.

Keep the faith my dear friend! Good always triumps over evil in the end! Jesus said so and thats good enough for me!

Scary, yet exciting. I dread the pain that will come to many. We haven’t seen real suffering in our lifetimes. This may go on for ten or twenty years. Our way of life will not be as it is. When my wife left me, I prayed for death. God did not grant it. Maybe He will use the suffering to bring in the harvest, as He did with me.

  • MaxineCA

Now this old gal is really confused. Are they saying that Russia will first invade Georgia in order to move their troops? Didn’t they try that within the last few years and fail? Why would Georgia (a democratic, independant country) cooperate with Russia when they see Russia as an enemy? I just don’t get it. It’s becoming more obvious why Obama is trying to do away with missile defense.

I thought Georgia was an allie. Are we going to allow this? Geez, everyday there’s something new that scares me.

    • WordsFailMe

Don’t be sacred. If something happens it will be out of our control and the time for action will be at hand. Being scared will only hinder us from being to do what is needed at a critical point. History belongs to the ones who did not hesitate.

Don’t know what everybody is concerned about. Obama and his close friend Putin have assured us that we and the Russians are close friends. As a matter of fact the administration just laughed at the uneasy feeling Americans felt when our leader told them that, after the election he would have more flexibility to do what they want us to do thereby assuring peace. Calm down everybody. We’re in good hands, just like Allstate.

Russia has been struggling to find its place in the world since the collapse of the Soviet Union. It seems they may have found that place in the middle east. How much of this is just saber rattling at this point I don’t know. Russia for the most part has been content to fight proxy wars. They don’t like to get invoked in wars directly. They only got involved in World War 2 because Hitler broke there peace treaty. And even there foray into Afghanistan they initially didn’t intend to take such an active role, only getting more involved reluctantly. So we will have to see how this plays out.

  • Maxsteele

I do not believe this is Russia acting against the American interests. This is Russia (Putin) working hand in hand with America (Obama) to do whatever they can to stop Israel from attacking the Iranian nuclear facilities.
After what has happened of the the last couple of years and most recent months no one can argue that Obama has any interest in protecting Israel. He believes that it is more important to ensure oil flow out of the gulf then it is in protecting the very existance of the Israeli state. Russia, of course, wants to protect it’s main customer in the middle east and show the rest of the arab world they are back in business.
This is extremely bad news for Israel but it is not the first time that both Russia and America have been against its best interests. During the Yom Kippur war the USA pressured Israel to not make a pre-emptive strike and if it did so then the USA would not support it. All this while the USSR was putting its own pilots, planes and generals in Egypt. There were also USSR ships in the meditteranean threatening Israel, and it is now known that the USSR had plans of landing a marine force in Israel if the Arabs were seen as winning the war. History does, indeed, repeat itself.
Isreal has to act in its own best interests even if that is against the best interest of every other nation in the world. This is an existential issue for them. Not like these arm chair quarterback leaders who sit in their ivory towers never having to risk life and limb. Netanyahu knows better then most the risk involved and I pray for the success of the Israeli people and the IDF.
I believe we will all be surprised by how they achieve destruction of the Iranian nuclear program, but it will happen or Israel will soon cease to exist.

    • kong1967

Hmmm, good analysis. I remember one of Obama’s advisors saying (while we were in Iraq) that if Israel flies over Iraq to bomb Iran we should shoot down their jets. If that’s not telling us point blank what Obama’s position is then I don’t know what is.

  • hongryhawg

Oh, Vladimir. Silly pretend president. Have you been talking to our pretend president?

    • kong1967

They ski together in bed. Think about it.

  • kong1967

Our forces would crush Russian forces. However, I’m not exactly up for a world war. In any case, Israel has to defend itself. I don’t see Obama lifting a finger to help them, either. I fully believe that when he told Israel to wait until after the election to bomb Iran, he did it because he knows he will lose his chances of getting re-elected when he doesn’t help. He won’t give a crap after the election. He’ll give us the bird.

  • JoeMontana16

Russia is counting on Obama being as weak as ever. What will happen after the election? We all know. This reminds me of JFK and the Soviet Union. They pushed his ass around cause why? He was weak. Russia is like a pack of wolves. They smell blood and that’s it.

  • Pyrran

The Muslim Brotherhood is pointing Egypt at Israel like a missile, meanwhile Putin’s thugs are lining up to “defend” Iran. This kinda reminds me of the time the Russians went in to “defend” Afhanistan. Their first act was to have Spetznaz troops shoot the Afghan president. Thats one way to leave office, I guess.
