Everybody get your ‘ugh’ faces ready. It looks like Jon Huntsman just might be the Trump-approved #2 in the State Department:
WSJ – Former Utah Gov. and ambassador to China Jon Huntsman is in talks to be the No. 2 at the State Department, U.S. officials said Monday.
The decision isn’t yet final and other candidates may be under consideration, officials said.
The search for the deputy secretary of state has continued after President Donald Trump rejected Elliott Abrams, who had the backing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Mr. Abrams’s rejection was seen as a blow to Mr. Tillerson’s standing in the administration and came after Mr. Trump learned of Mr. Abrams’s criticisms of Mr. Trump during the campaign. The Trump administration has been slow to fill top posts at the State Department and other agencies.
If there’s one RINO I can’t stand, it’s Jon Huntsman. He’s the guy behind all the Herman Cain leaks that destroyed his election chances back in 2011. He’s also the same guy who refused to go to Romney’s RNC in 2012 because the GOP wasn’t ‘inclusive’ enough or something.
