Retired Lt. General: Our airstrikes at Kobani aren’t making any difference and the Kurds are frustrated

This is probably the most comprehensive assessment I’ve heard of what the Kurds are up really against at Kobani and it’s not good. Retired Lt. General Michael Barbero gives a frank assessment and says that the Kurds are out gunned and out manned by ISIS.

He points out that Obama said we would help and equip those who are on the ground fighting ISIS and yet Obama is not doing anything to help the Kurds, who don’t even have a way of defeating ISIS tanks. Barbero says the Kurds are even going around to each capital asking for help.

As for our air campaign, Barbero says we don’t have one. He said we are only doing 5 airstrikes a day which is frustrating the Kurds and that our airstrikes aren’t making any difference. He also points out that ISIS has already adapted to what few airstrikes we are doing by moving around at night and dispersing into the villages.
