Rick Perry grilled by CNN host on immigration, Obama and Congress

I’m all for a tough interview, but after listening to this one you’d think Obama was an angel from Heaven — if you didn’t know any better.

If Obama says he doesn’t need to go to the border, then by all means it’s no longer important. In fact at one point the CNN host actually tells Perry that Obama visiting the border isn’t going to fix the problem.

If Perry says Obama needs to send the National Guard troops to the border to stop the flow of illegals, then the CNN hosts says that’s not going to solve the problem of the illegals we already have here and demands to know what Perry thinks we should do with them.

Then CNN host says Obama needs the billions from Congress and wants to know if Perry will support the president in getting that money.

And then of course the CNN host can’t resist accusing Rick Perry of being a conspiratorialist based on what he said last month about Obama refusing to do anything to secure the border and fix this problem.

There’s just no concession whatsoever that Obama is playing politics or that Obama isn’t dealing with the problem or that Obama’s policies haven’t created the problem or made it worse or anything.

Basically everything Obama says is gold and Republicans have to answer for why they don’t or won’t support him.
