Rush defends himself: IT’S NOT MY JOB TO GET VOTES FOR PEOPLE DAMMIT!

Rush Limbaugh had a caller today who argued that Ted Cruz matches conservatives perfectly and couldn’t understand why so many are picking Trump.

After some back and forth between Rush and the caller on who Trump’s fan base really is and so forth, Rush got a little agitated and told the caller she was putting him in a difficult position, as she was a bit exasperated on why conservatives aren’t getting more passionate against Trump.

Rush admitted that people have been blaming him for Trump’s rise, saying that if he had only pushed back harder against Trump early on, then Trump wouldn’t be where he is now.

Rush said he’s not the leader of the conservative movement and never has tried to attain that position.

Then right at the end as the segment was about over, a clearly frustrated Rush exclaimed into the mic:

IT’S NOT MY JOB TO GET VOTES FOR PEOPLE! DAMMIT!  IT’S THEIRS!  WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT ME TO DO?!
