Rush hammers beltway pundits: Obama DID NOT win the debate on points and here’s why

Rush’s first segment was a great explanation of why the beltway pundits don’t see the debates like the rest of America. It’s long but it’s worth listening to the whole thing. In short, Rush says they view these debates like a horse race or a college debate that is scored on points. But that’s not what they are.

Rushbo is exactly right, screw Charles Krauthammer.

      I know that’s right.

Dear friend from Oklahoma sent this one tome this morning… H/T Marie!

Like to share with you Super Scoopers!

A woman who had been married three times walked into a bridal shop one day and told the sales clerk that she was looking for a wedding gown for her fourth wedding.

“Of course, madam,” replied the sales clerk, “exactly what type and color dress are you looking for?”

The bride to be said, “A long frilly white dress with a veil.”

The sales clerk hesitated a bit, then said, “Please don’t take this the wrong way, but gowns of that nature are considered more appropriate for brides who are being married the first time – for those who are a bit more innocent, if you know what I mean? Perhaps ivory or sky blue would be nice?”

“Well,” replied the customer, a little peeved at the clerk’s directness, “I can assure you that a white gown would be quite appropriate. Believe it or not, despite all my marriages, I remain as innocent as a first-time bride. You see, my first husband was so excited about our wedding, he died as we were checking into our honey moon hotel. My second husband and I got into such a terrible fight in the limo on our way to our honeymoon hotel that we had that wedding annulled immediately and never spoke to each other again.”

“What about your third husband?” asked the sales clerk.

“That one was an Obama supporter,” said the woman, “and every night for four years, he just sat on the edge of the bed and told me how good it was going to be, but nothing ever happened………………

You are right, rocco11. Poor Charles has too much RINO blood coursing in his veins to truly be conservative. He and Karl Rove still have no concept that without the conservatives and the Tea Party, republicans would be the third party without any relevancy whatsoever. Romney is the only option, but he too will be accountable to representing the country’s best interests or face removal like Obama will soon learn.

      • Amjean

Excellent thoughts. I am sure that is exactly how millions think.

    • free4now

Actually, no thanks – ewwww! I need brain bleach now. 🙂

  • I definitely agreed with Rush. On what basis was this even a tie? I think Romney cleaned Obama’s clock. Obama had no answers for all the facts and figures Romney threw at him regarding how terrible the economy is. Obama also couldn’t tell that college student what he was going to do to get him a job after he graduated. And Obama said he was going to create all those new manufacturing jobs? Are you serious? Making what? And who is going to create them, those evil “You didn’t build that” factory owners that Obama seems to hate so much? Give me a break. I think people are making up their minds right now that Romney is the last best hope we have of salvaging what’s left of this country.

    • Sober_Thinking

      Agreed. Good post.

  • Sober_Thinking

Rush is spot on… Obama clearly… clearly… lost.

And Obama’s last 2-minute rant was so full of lies and crap. He said: I’m for Tea Party principles… but I’m also a Socialist. What donkey-squeeze.

Obama is so completely wrong for this nation… Lord help those boobs who still support him.

  • Strictly hollow, canned iTunes Obama

I listened while mowing grass today. It makes sense. Basically he said no one’s mind was changed because Romney missed an opportunity to hammer obama on Libya. Romney will nail him on it at the FP debate anyway.

I wish critics would realize the investment Mitt and his entire family have made getting into this race to begin with. He is the one who had the guts to go against this dishonest, unethical person who doesn’t have nearly the capabilities in his entire body as Romney has in his pinkie finger. Romney is the one who put himself and his entire family in the cross hairs of the dirty politics obama and his administration is capable of. Let’s cut him some slack. Rush certainly did today.

    • actionsspeaklouder

Totally agree. Very courageous that Romney and his family care enough about America to put themselves through the torturous gauntlet that is the Chicago thug machine.

  • PFFV

If you want the truth Rush is always the one to listen to! I am a huge fan of El-Rushbo and am proud to say so!

  • Don

This debate could possibly be the tipping point that removes all doubt that liberalism has no concept of the truth. The mainstream media that reports that Obama won is rejecting the outrageous lies that he presented continuously during the debate. When Americans can see the lies that are so obvious being presented by Obama and the blind support of the mainstream media in reinforcing those obvious lies, then Americans are waking up to the biggest hoax ever pulled on our country in our history. When you cannot believe the mainstream media or your president, Americans will seek the truth until they find it. Thank God for the internet or reality would be relevant to what we are fed by the mainstream media which is reinforcing on a daily basis that they, like Obama, are totally incapable of the truth.

  • sjmom

Listened to Rush’s monologue and he is so right about last night.

  • Landscaper

Quoting another: One Lie, takes a thousand truths to gain ones trust again.

  • xjesterx

I thought this last night….I was yelling at the Fox “experts”…. “Didn’t you idiots hear Obama?!” He stammered like a deer caught in the headlights on that Libya question. NO ONE is paying attention to those moments. Remember?

Romney: “You called it an act of terror?”

Obama: “Continue Governor” (devastating if that is your answer!!!!)

    Romney: asks again…

    Obama: “Continue Governor”

THAT is all Obama had!!! Telling Romney to continue. He looked like a high school kid who just got caught coming home late. He had NOTHING folks. Nooottthhhiiingggg he could say until Crowley tried to jump in. Then he just looked stupid talking about the transcript.

And did you notice…it was cut off…but he goes…

(stammering) “I want to let these good people get their questions in” or something like that… it was SOOOOO obvious the man was going down like a sinking ship. He was scared. Nervous. He had NOTHING.

Yes, us regular old dumb people can figure out why the “unbiased” crowd is applauding and clapping too. We can figure out that we have an ambassador DEAD. (Am I the only one who feels a little bit of pity for that guy who actually believed in serving under Obama?Poor, poor, fool by the way… I mean no disrespect to his family).

But there were several of those moments, when Obama had no answer and did not answer the question at all. Just went off on talking points and attacked Romney. The Libya moment though was when he LOST the debate. Saying “continue governor”….the man had nothing.

If I see one more “weee’rrree back!!” on twitter by the way…I’m going to laugh myself silly. Whenever I see that… I think about that moment…”continue governor”….. this man is such an empty suit. My God it ought to teach us a lesson about who we let in our White House.

I’d like to ‘like’ your comment 16 trillion times. Well said, Sir/Madam!

  • colliemum

Rush puts his finger right where it hurts the Beltway ‘elite’ commentators: they’re assuming from their great height that the public is too stupid to recognise the patent lies coming from Obama.
Rush is right when he says this presidential debate doesn’t start with both candidates being equal: Obama has a record now, and he cannot defend it, never mind telling what he plans to do next.
And I liked the point Rush made about Crawley moving on after Romney’s demolition of Obama’s economy: she moved on so that Obama was spared having to squirm when trying to answer Romney’s irrefutable points.

  • proudhispanicconservative

Rush is so right, I dont know what these pundits are looking at, and he is also right who in their right mind that was leaning for romney before the debate now because Romney didnt hammer Obama harder or he didnt use the term they wanted now all of a sudden they are changing for Obama? It is just ridiculous, bottom line is Romney once again destroyed Obama and prosecuted the last four years of Obama and he did it convincingly.
Obama won the debate>>>>> I dont think so

  • Aikalo80

rush has the drudge report on the screen

  • mder4thegov

    Take that Krauthammer and Hume.

    • Rocco11

Hume is a goner, he’s in Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, and David Frum territory now…

  • Just read Charles Krauthammer’s columns during the 2008 campaign. The man kept praising Obama. He was on the Peggy Noonan bandwagon.

I’ve never looked at Krauthammer the same way.

    • Amjean

He also criticized Sarah Palin incessantly – along with Rove.

  • I CANNOT stand Brit Humme. What a pompous ass!

  • Rush is right. Romney did real well debating both the Crowley and Obama. They were the Romney tag team. Way to go Romney after fighting the lib machine moderator and Obama tag team

  • Conservative_Hippie

    Rush is Right…again!

  • This is why I get my news updates from talk radio then network news shows. I can always depend on Rush to give an honest factual account on the goings on all things politics. It is why he is talk radio….

  • Nukeman60

The most important point about the debate last night is that the watercooler talk today is all about Obama and Crowley tag-teaming the Libya lie. Rush is so right.

I gave the debate to Romney for the truth-telling and substance of his facts. Obama had nothing but his slick style. But that doesn’t matter today and tomorrow. Obama has to go to the next debate with the knowledge that he didn’t accomplish what he wanted to.

Debate #1 was a disaster for Obama. Debate #2 was a wash as far as gaining supporters.

Debate #3 should be a doozy.

  • Rush Limbaugh, the Dr. of Democracy, schools the cool kids from the beltway.

  • Infidel4Ever

EL Rushbo delivers the definitive description of the debate I saw. I didn’t even need to go back over anything ’cause I knew the truth. Since Zero did not look as bad as the first debate, the MSM is loving it. Their problem is that the American people are watching now and making their own damn minds up. Yes, Romney could have done this or said that, but he still looked more like a President than Obama did. Obama’s down to repeating the same schlog talking points. And lying like only he can. He’s done.

  • Amjean

Thank you Rush! That is exactly what I think.

The audacity of these leftists and their covers, the LSM.

  • iaintlyin

Rush, Levin, Hannity—–no one else is close. With that being a fact and the truth, there is no one else worth waiting for their opinion. These three know the importance of promoting and advancing the rights agenda without showing the slightest crack in our candidates standing. They are what the left has in the MSM, but its them 3 against a whole bunch of libs AND the weak so called conservative pundits (Noonan, Krauthammer, O’Rielly, Kristol etc) who seem to be chomping at the bit for a chance to throw a strike against Romney. Too bad for them, ROMNEY WON THE DEBATE. He and Ryan are 3 and 0, they will have an undefeated record the day after election day, these debates have reassured me of that.

  • PVG

El Rushbo and the Great One……..what would we do without them??

  • Mike Lee

Rush is correct. This isn’t a college debate for points or marks. it’s about votes and perception. Not technical points. Romney just needs to stay the course, appear serious, presidential, competent, and eager to take on the challenges. Obama looks tired and out of ideas.
