Looking at how Sarah Palin has handled herself throughout this media assault on her, Rush says he not only marvels at how she’s handled this whole situation but that he believes it has made her stronger.

      Those were great! Bookmarked!

I like this link as well for art on the subject…

Tony’s a superb, fresh and prolific talent, and from what I know… a good man. Definitely CONSERVATIVE!

…appreciate your link (loved the one about the “divorce”, toward the bottom of the page, and the “AP ~Anti-Palin Press” one).

    BTW,

    Anyone else notice that, on Hannity, she NEVER mentioned (that I heard) G L E N N B E C K?

Shawn is jealous of that man with an Irish-green malevolence.

    …funny!

    • http://twitter.com/1389JK JK

I wouldn’t call it malevolence. It’s not fair to expect Hannity to cannibalize the last hour of his radio show for comity.

      • http://doorwaybuck.com CM Sackett

        JK,

        You new here?

It’s fairly well-known that I don’t carry ANY water for either of them. And my total reference count for them BOTH in my posts would not require you to take your socks off to keep up with the tally.

        POINT?

I wasn’t ‘tear(ing) down Hannity…’. I noticed something (that is easily verified to be a part of Hannity’s “do not tell/mention” list… see the link above, about the 8/28 rally).

As not to be too critical of Hannity, as I have enjoyed his show from time to time (the panel tends to be my favorite part), but he can tend to be either too much of a goody-goody or towing the party line. Just not my preferred host.
I also have problems with Beck and if it wasn’t for Stu and Pat, I’d probably not be able to listen to his radio show. The banter between the three of them is what draws me in because they even disagree with each other and provide a humorous offset to Beck’s doom-and-gloom.
Rush just tends to be himself. He truly is one of those guys who you love or hate.

I still laugh that nobody ever mentions Savage. The guy who just ridicules the top 3. I enjoy even some of the stuff he does, but is by far the most egotistical of them, imo. Just the lack of his mention on this site reminds me of “he who must not be named.” (please don’t ban me for saying his name/ jk)

Overall, it’s just best take any of what they say with a grain of salt (sometimes the size of rock salt or larger) and learn what fits for you. There’s a lot of information out there to digest and the best you can do is do your own analysis.

So you think Sean Hannity asked Palin to not mention Glenn Beck and she went along?

      • http://doorwaybuck.com CM Sackett

        I’ll tell you what I KNOW…

I know that the crap-slinging, blood-libeling ran in THIS ORDER

        1. Sarah Palin
        2. GLENN BECK (and you should know that I am not a beck-flag-waving fan)
        3. Rush
        4. TEA PARTY

…then came, in this order of delivery and visceral ~

        1. TALK RADIO
        2. Shawn

Shawn was NOT one of the first, nor the hardest hit by the garbage’d vomit spewed by the enemies-Domestic in the media.

I also know that Shawn goes OUT OF HIS WAY to NOT mention Beck (or anything GOOD Beck is doing… i.e., the 8/28 rally. Even media-ite noticed this: http://www.mediaite.com/online/in-sean-hannitys-world-there-was-no-glenn-beck-restoring-honor-rally/ ).

As for what he might have specifically ASKED her NOT to mention… do not know. As my comment stated clearly, I noticed the omission, and found it funny.

Do you watch O’Reilly? Now there is a guy who obviously hates Sean Hannity.

They have it set up so that when The Factor ends it goes right into Hannity with no commercial break. They do the same thing with Greta when Hannity ends. But Bill is hilarious. I think his main goal in life is to get in his “we’re definitely watching out for you” in before time runs out EXCEPT when Sean has a big ratings guest. Even though Bill tapes his show, it’s like he doesn’t want a spare second to go to Hannity if he can help it.

          • http://doorwaybuck.com CM Sackett

            AGREED!

I never did watch Bill (except for the “Miller Time” segments… some of those are worth the price of admission).

            • Anonymous

CM I am a smarter man for listening to Miller’s radio show. He sends me to the dictionary every day. The guy has been spot on lately. Today he said (paraphrasing): “If Palin is such a trifle..such a stupid insignificant dolt then why do you guys (the media, Hollywood, leftist blogs, etc) constantly bring her into the conversation? Why do you insert her into every news story if she is such a simpleton bafoon?

            • Anonymous

Now, yer talkin’ friend. Those are the stuff of life. I am a MillerMan. I can always see it in Brit Hume’s face when he is on the Mr. Bill Show though. He’s waiting for the question/filibuster/question to subside so’s he can answer. It’s like I can see Brit thinking. “I can’t believe he’s still talking. I wish they’d move the camera off my face long enough for me to be able to wince or something for a second”.

I have a WHOLE different take on the Sean-Palin-Beck situation.

Governor Palin is smart. She realizes there is some competition between Sean & Glenn and is sensitive to it. She doesn’t have to told by Sean or anybody not to mention Glenn Beck on the Sean Hannity show. Duh?? She likes and respect both of them and she realizes she needs both shows for support. She’s a smart kid.

Number 2: Governor Palin is VERY smart again because she realizes that Glenn Beck has an unhealthy crush on her and she has to be very careful to not have “Beck on the Brain.” Beck is nothing to her, however. Todd Palin is her EVERYTHING. And that’s why America loves her as well. All the women think Sarah is lucky and all the men think Todd is lucky. Beck, however, is not the only conservative celebrity who has a crush on Governor Palin. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have obvious crushes as well. I’m sure all her life she has noticed men falling all over her in her presence, but she is classy and handles it in stride, keeping her eye on the prize which is America, the Beautiful.

Sarah Palin is beautiful inside and out. It hard not to love her and we all do!!!

I don’t think Sean is jealous of Glenn just a little leery of Glenn’s past probably and hopes Glenn is faithful with the confidence America has given Glenn.

I like Sean and I think Sean is a pretty honest & fair person, but is not perfect like the rest of us. I would throw Sean a little grace on the “jealous of Beck” thing.

b- Well done. My thoughts similar, but you covered a lot more ground and a lot better than I would have…..

I saw this as Palin carefully choosing her words.. She has got to be purposeful in everything.

I wonder if she and Beck have emailed that they will lay low on referring to each other..

I’ve also heard that polls show a larger middle aged male following than female…..

      A great quote . . . classic . . . well done . . . here’s the 1st reference to it in the movie:

      • Anonymous

I love that quote…I believe he said the one that I used right before one of the battles when they weren’t sure if the Irish would show up. I am not sure of the exact words, but I also liked where the Irish guy said something like…”the lord told me I’ll be Ok, but he’s pretty sure you’re F’d”

Remember the French Princess who was married to that manlady Prince? “It’s true I swear it.” She was fine with a long, long ‘I’ in the middle there. (not that I ever notice stuff like that…just repeating what I’ve heard…YEAH RIGHT!)

        Thx for that clip :-)

        • Jengis Con

Rshill7, Remember the French Princess? Remember?! Who doesn’t?! That would be Sophie Marceau as Princess Isabelle of France. Will 4 minutes be enough? Here ya go:

Also, I think you’ll like this clip. High quality, and it has your Crazy Irishman, Stephen. Warning to the faint of heart (pun intended), clip contains F*bombs delivered with thick Irish brogue:

          • Anonymous

Jengis, cool name. You slayed that. You conquered it. I watched every second of both of those (cuz I couldn’t put ‘em down). I want to be the guy who’s name you pick out of the Christmas hat to give the annual gift to. I have a quote to you from Chris Farley. It’s from that immovable, unimpeachable classic, “Tommy Boy”…”That was AWESOME!” and “That’s gonna leave a mark”.

            • Jengis Con

“that immovable, unimpeachable classic, “Tommy Boy”…”

I spoke in Stirling (his home town) many times. The last time I was there was the October after the movie came out.

            The city was all a-buzz.

At the Wallace Monument (built almost entirely through ENGLISH funding… they used a bit-o-the-Irish in that deal ~ in 1876), clips of the movie were threaded into nearly every ‘historic’ presentation… except at his sword (encased in glass on the steps leading up to the watchtower).

There they still had the little placard that stated his stature and height… 6’6″.

When I walked up that last day, someone had put a post-it note that read:

“Aye, but he would’ve wanted Gibson ta play ‘im ANYWAY!”

Aye, I imagine he would have, at that.

Anyone notice that Carl has not been back to be Guest Host for Rush ? Newt and Carl do provide insight, however when the RINO’s want civility, Conserativism loses under the cover of
compromise. Just ask Nancy how much she compromised during the ARRA and Healthcare debates? Sarah is Kryptonite to the Progressives!

  • Johnschaffran

Can’t we all just get along? Beck, Rush, Hannity, etc. They are all trying to get our country back on track. Beck goes a little more to tell the truth then do the others but so what. I want the truth and Beck gives it to me. Rush is still terrific!

  • Jengis Con

Rush is right. I fully agree. No matter how much Barry diverts and procrastinates, unemployment and the national debt remain sky high. And there’s no way Obama’s smoke and mirrors routine is going to continue to work. The liberals are on the run. They realize how close they are to obscurity. This whole thing about Republicans and Democrats sitting together? That’s to obscure the fact that there are fewer than 200 Dems in the House. They look weak, and they know it. Funny how now that Republicans control the House the Dems are all about “bi-partisanship.” Where was that the last 2 – 4 years?!

Rush is spot on, as usual.

Any GOP / Conservative that says anything negative about Sarah please take note. I don’t forget, and you will immediately lose any future support or contribution from me. Newt, you’re out today. That doesn’t mean Sarah is going to be the one for me, but firing against someone on the same side speaks badly about yourself. Some leeway may be granted once a primary field is locked down.

    • Anonymous

Agreed, I stopped ALL of my contributions to the RNC, not because of Steele( in my opinion he was ok) but because of the RINO factor. If Sarah wants to run, I will work for her and give the max in dollars. Time to mount up!
