Rush: NY Times gay militants not happy with Obama’s gay marriage announcement

Rush says that the gay militants at the NY Times took notice yesterday of how Obama slyly gave himself an out on the gay marriage issue, effectively not really changing his position at all. Obama proclaiming that gay marriage is an issue only for the states to decide excused him from any responsibility in trying to make gay marriage the law of the land, making his announcement no more than pandering lip service which didn’t sit well with the NY Times:

So nice of him to come out of the closet – finally.

He’s a poser and a lier. The NY Times is an enabler. Corruption and degeneration runs rampant in both cases.

  • Good intentions usually matter more than results to most liberals. Four years of failure seem to be tempering that attitude.

    • kong1967

Personally, I think welfare checks are about the only thing that matters to most libs. Every lib I talked to was very angry they didn’t see any direct money from “trickle down”, hence…it didn’t work. Morons to say the least.

  • badbadlibs

BO is a coward, he has no convictions, yet the msm still thinks him a man of strength and character….those who do are blind…and at this point, willingly.

    • williamm

You are correct that Obama has no convictions , but I’m hoping that will change when we take back the government. There are many things he should be convicted of, and this will be one time I would like to see no term limits, as long as they are prison terms.

      • kong1967

Obama does have convictions. They just don’t match ours and they involve collapsing capitalism. “Why would we want to go back to something that doesn’t work”? He told us in multiple videos that he wanted to destroy private health insurance to force a single payer system. He told us he wanted $8 a gallon gas and skyrocketing electricity bills. His actions show a perfect record of conviction to those goals. He just can’t say now that those are his goals. He has to lie to everyone and say “why would I want higher gas prices while I’m the sitting President”? You’re doing a bang up job, Obama. Now go back to Kenya and help your brother get into office.

Yep. It’s kinda’ like voting ‘present’ while having an out of body experience.

He’s been having an out of ideas experience for quite a while. Marxism was it, and it doesn’t work, unless your goal is to effectively destroy your country’s freedom and prosperity.

  • In ever single state where gay marriage has been put to a vote (I think it has been 32 states total), it has failed, and by a large margin. Even California, the epicenter of liberal thought, it was voted down twice. And it’s also interesting to note that the only states that now allow gay marriage is because of court decisions, NOT because people voted for it. I still had this funny idea that if we were going to enact a law that would fundamentally change our society, we should at least have a vote or a say on it. Well, in 32 states where we did have a say on it they all said no. So what part of no does Obama, the far left, the liberals, the courts, the state legislatures, and the gay lobby do not understand?

  • Yes, Obama’s hands aren’t dirty…..(sarc)

  • kong1967

Another way of voting “not present” which he is an expert at.

  • bbitter

Well, I asked how long it would take before the gay community noticed they were being used… I expected it would take longer. I don’t know if the NYT is enough to make the rest wake-up though.

Obummer is pandering to his base in reaction to bad reelection support, evidenced by a nearly lost primary to an inmate… Which underscores a problem he’s going to have with the extreme base on the Left: They are not tolerant. He is either completely, 100% theirs and in their pocket for their special interest, or they are not happy with him and will look somewhere else.

It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

    • FutureOnePercent

The liberals I know are mad that he’s not far enough left for them. They openly admit he’s been a failure, just for very different reasons.

  • wodiej

We are all children of God and should treat each other as such. If there was a lot more loving one another and a lot less judging, the world would be a much better place.

“There but for the grace of God go I.”

    • KM

Oh, okay… In your little world anything goes… I’d love to be a fly on your wall when you explain sex to your 13-year olds… Or, will you show them personally???

    • FutureOnePercent

I just don’t appreciate 1.8% of the population trying to bludgeon the rest of us with their ideas and force it upon me and my family.

Since I’m always looking for new things to commandeer from the Left. We should hijack that too… create “We are the 98%”

This is the percentage of adults over 18 who identify as heterosexual in America.

And I’m sick of the 2% trying to to shove their form of normal into my life.

You always hear “Keep your politics out of my bedroom!”

Well damn, keep your bedroom out of my politics.

    • bbitter

Completely agreed with one condition: Condemn the sin, not the sinner. Love the sinner, not the sin.

Be as wise as snakes, but as harmless as doves. We don’t have to judge, He’s judged already… we just need to accept His judgement. Christ is Lord.

    • nehemiahreturns

Nowhere in God’s Word does it say that we are all children of God. The Bible does, however, state that there are children of God and children of the devil. Perhaps attendance at a Gay Pride parade might open your eyes. Militant homosexuals know little about love.

God is Judge, but discernment is our responsibility. I believe all human beings are deserving of respect, but we don’t have to accept what they do.

  • Is_Sense_Common

So this is what we’re talking about when our nation is hemorrhaging jobs and money? Our Military is being dismantled. Our Federal Gov’t is suing its states left & right. Our DOJ is selling guns to drug cartels in Mexico. Our borders are not secure in any way, shape, or form. Shall I go on?

Let’s stay focused, folks. We’ve got a Marxist in the White House and he is destroying our nation by urinating on the Constitution.

  • nehemiahreturns

I knew this would come back to bite Obama in some form. Now waiting for the damage control, “What I meant by that was….” statement that will get him in hotter water somewhere else.

  • aZjimbo

God help us if this clown ever gets re-elected.
