Rush says that he can remember a time when Chris Matthews hosted his radio show, but he doesn’t know what’s happened to him since then. He says there’s no way Matthews would host it now. And then he goes on to talk about MSNBC:

That whole network is looney bin. And it’s a loony bin filled with people who are overflowing with uncontrollable rage, anger, unhappiness, misery. By design. This is their niche. They’ve chosen it.

But his main point is that Matthews and others on the network say far more incendiary stuff than what Halperin said the other day, most recently that Republicans are like Muslim terrorists, and yet nothing is ever said.

Of course we know why Halperin was fired and Matthews isn’t. It’s because Matthews knows better than to talk about Obama the way he talks about Republicans. If one of them speaks ill of ObamaMessiah, the White House gets on the phone and begins breathing down their neck. It’s that simple. Doesn’t get more partisan than that.

Here’s the clip:

We the consumer are still in control of what news stays on the air. Shut your tv off. Leave it off. Soon the advertisers will realize not enough people are watching and will pull their ads.

"Looney"...?

Rush is being far too polite.

They are professional partisan prevaricators so caught up in their pursuit of being good little toady demagogues for their masters that they must surely take pride in the daily depths to which they sink.

If the Truth ever managed to sneak into their realm they would likely climb over each other for the priviledge of diving onto it like it was a live grenade...and smother it until it faded away.

'Looney' implies a hapless tendency which does accidental harm.

They are willing accomplices to the forces of evil which seek to enslave us.

They call Republicans "terrorists", yet think it's wrong to call actual terrorists "terrorists". Rush used to call it "MESS-NBC", but I don't believe he's used that term in a while. If so, he ought to go back to it. It's almost as if every prospective crappy comedy writer is forced to intern at MSNBC first before getting a spot on a crappy NBC sit-com.
