I am a Sandy victim, and I can tell you the novelty has certainly worn off!!! There are no real resources... People think there is but there is literally none. Not from the Red Cross or 211... I lived in Seaside Heights, N.J. Now I have been relocated to Cherry Hill, N.J. This is an area that I don't know and just to buy groceries it costs me $50.00. Now, I guess to some of these high and mighty people ( like the ones I've dealt with from FEMA etc... ) But to those of us who have lost everything, losing one more thing is unbearable!!!! And by the way where is the money from that 12/12 charity???? Is it going to the townships to rebuild the boardwalk???? Is that money going to replace a bunch of wood, instead of helping living breathing human beings???? What if it was you or your family going through this hell???? I've been through 3 different " disaster relief " centers and have been moved 4 times.... If you want to contact me with any kind of help/ resources it would be greatly appreciated!!!! He is showing america how we need to take care of ourselved and not depend on goverment handout. the interview is all over the place because he gets interrupted a few times on his train of thought but still performs better and more natural and with honestly than obama and his telepromter. He only states the fema story to show how government is trying to control. You didnt comprehend the interview all too well. Watch is again. Cavoto so much as agrees that he is on the write page and commends him for his honesty by telling him to run for office in a joking manner. We all know that political offices only get held by lying liers and dishonest individuals for the most part.
I wish this guy would be a little more clear and logical on the first part of his talk.
He is absolutely right that, democrats teach their kids that its better not to work, 'because if you earn you own income, you wont receive government benefits'.
He gets interrupted a lot during the interview on his train of thought by the interviewee but even without his teleprompter he makes clear sense of the fact he doesn't want to just throw good money after bad. He states he doesn't want the quick fix because YES it will raise taxes, and we all know the money never gets where it needs to go when you are allowing the federal government to dole it out.
Sadly, most of the north easterners affected by Hurricane Sandy that are complaining about the government and Obama's 'photo op' will still vote Democrat next election.

As long as the demon party has any power they will control how Americans live and will be living high off their stolen money. You are right these politicians in this day are all working off the corrupt democrat created plan where they all still get their raises and perks and the little people just get raised taxes limited pay so that they are stuck in a bracket

I hate to break this to you, but the american dream does NOT entitle you to have the government taxpayers cover your CAR because you were too cheap to purchase comprehensive coverage on your vehicles. Public services should be the first to be addressed by FEMA, Electricity, water, damaged roads and bridges, infrastructure. Not your stupid CAR.
alpha guy, scott wasnt so much complaining about losing his car as much as complaining about the fact the fema was telling him how many cars he could have. I have the feeling Scott can take care of himself and knows not to rely on government aid. He said so much in the beginning when he said he didnt want the quick fix money that would really just raise taxes. Scott should get credit for speaking out against the lies and manipulations and not put down by your post.
Tinlizzieowner, I don't feel FEMA was telling him how many cars he should have, they were telling him how many would be covered. And he seemed angry about that.
He is angry because of the federal governments involvement and destruction of the American dream that many were raised on and that would be freedom and limited involvement. He only used the fema comment to make the point. His first point and main point is that he doesn't want the quick fix that comes with raised taxes. He wants to take care of his own affairs and wants Obama to stop helping the unemployed by doling out scraps to keep them on the demons pay role.
They want to know why he owns 3 cars. And Scott is correct, it is his right and his business. He is required to get an SBA (Small Business Assn loan) to replace his cars. These are loans, not grants. I want to know why the repaid Katrina loans aren't being used to fund the Sandy loans.
So.... why does this Republican citizen need taxpayer funded aid?? Where is his personal responsibility? Where is his homeowner's insurance policy?
As long as Obama get's his photo op , which stupid as "F" Chris Christie gave him , it's all good...

Great point! If it takes longer than 2 months to receive "emergency" assistance for food, water and shelter, wonder how long it will take to diagnose, remove and radiate a Stage 3 tumour. Never mind, we only need to look at Canadians coming to America for cancer treatments to know that answer. And what will the gov't require for medical care? Registration of what? DNA? Fingerprints? Turnover of all net worth?
Would have been great until he started to say people are lazy who are collecting unemployment. I guess when one is fortunate enough to have the same job for 25 years it's easier to judge others. I am guessing many in his shoes have the same mindset. Try worrying every day how the bills will get paid even though a person is doing everything they can to find work. Why are his 3 adult children still living at home?
I agree with both of you in part. There are people who sit on unemployment because they can stay home with their kids, don't have to pay for gas, don't have to get up in the morning, can be online and text all day and when that runs out go on SSI. There are a lot of jobs available, people don't want them because the unemployment payout if larger when you look at working expenses (day care, gas, etc.) the foodstamps, food shelves, fuel assistance, etc.
I agree with you that not all on unemployment are remaining so intentionally and didn't get that from him.
As to why his grown children are living at home, do not know and do not care to speculate. What I can offer is that is how I paid for college rather than burying myself in $60,000 of student loans.
Obama will take advantage of anything that can give him a convenient photo-op, even with victims of a disaster. The Great Pretender and Deceiver strikes again.

This story is just too late.. but it should have come as no surprise.. When a person loves only himself like Obama does, poor lady should have known from the start that he was throwing gallons of oil on the waters, He is and will alway be the biggest lying fraud to occupy the office.. and Its people like you who believed his Bull and probably voted for the liar. So as far as it goes I am very sorry for your loss, however you know now the truth that the rest of knew earlier, Obama was and will continue to lie to you and us. It's true he got his photo-op, and got re-elected. Although, under normal situations, he doesn't need the victims anymore, he can use a photo-op as a diversion. He knows people are catching on to him and his hidden agenda. By showing he 'cares' by embracing suffering victims, who don't know what suddenly hit them, it helps him to change people's minds about their suspicions.
The Great Pretender and Deceiver strikes again. I doubt that his enabler, Joe Biden, is aware of Obama's hidden (muslim) agenda.
Personally I think the devil or George Soros (or liberal equivalent) or some Muslim group is Obama's "handler"... but I agree with your point.
Obama is showing that he cares now (for the first time) because he's trying to throw off the scent of the bloodhounds who are sniffing him out. Besides, he did this right before the election. How convenient. And the lemmings and corrupt media lapped it up.

I think you touched on the thing(s) that have been bothering me about some of my former heroes. I agree, both Beck and Coulter are still doing some things that are useful to conservatives and the right... but they seem to have lost their zeal or stopped pressing on when they were making enough money. Both of them have been "off" lately, which has been distressing. It's hard to see anyone you listened to and respected, suddenly drop the mask or change direction from where they once were going.
You are right... Glenn especially has such a golden opportunity to help "restore" this nation... he has the resources, a decent audience, and the infrastructure. He has spoken of "restoration" more than once... but I'm not sure if he has traction yet or not.
The time for words has passed... the beast got re-elected. If there's not more "action" this time around, by the end of his 2nd term there might be little left to salvage. Furthermore, the left will be dug in like a tick and nearly impossible to remove. More Americans will be worshipping the government and dependent on freebies and redistribution than ever before. It will be extremely difficult to ween them off and get them to stand on their own two feet again (or for the first time).
I hope and pray that there is significant and dramatic action soon to stop this insanity and fix this nation - to restore it to it's former greatness. We all have skin in the game... what Obama is doing, now affects us all. We can't afford to sit on the sidelines and hope for the best anymore. We have to get busy. Now.
I am not a Republican. I am also not a conservative. I caucus with conservatives, or I did, because they were better for our nation than anyone on the left—any leftist at all. (The closest I can describe my political philosophy in two words is that I'm a Jeffersonian Liberal.)
However, we are at a point where we have to face the fact that far too many conservatives are not 100% committed to Restoration. Especially those in a situation where their livelihood depends on politics (by which I mean all politicians, all their paid staff, all their consultants, all their advertising people, all paid pundits, and all political pac and special-interest-lobby paid staff).
This explains why Glenn Beck can be a major champion of Restoration, and then suddenly does a nearly-impossible back-flip, and supports Jon "I endorse Barack Obama" Huntsman. It also explains Ann Coulter. Those two, especially, very nearly made me ill in 2012. They earned every bit the bad feelings people have of them because of this, even though they still have their uses on the right.
Coulter, for example, is a premier researcher and knows how to use acerbic commentary to make a point. Beck still showcases many conservatives and pays people to do research that is important to the right. Also, bad press sells just as well as good, so they're happy, regardless of our opinions.
However, from this day forward, I will only support people who are 100% on board with Restoration, even when it involves a risky position for them, personally.
Being "conservative" is simply not enough anymore.
I like Ann... and feel she has been courageous and spot on many times during her career.
But lately, I have growing concerns about her. She was among the first to embrace the very moderate Mitt Romney when there were other, more conservative and well-rounded candidates still running (Michelle Bachman for instance). Plus, her freaky obsession with Chris Christie (someone who also has raised many eyebrows lately - especially with buddying up to Obama) was a big turn off to many.
I still like Ann... but she is starting to not be the conservative hero I once gave her credit for being. I don't know if she's involved in self-promotion or is enamored with her success or what. Hopefully she will go back and be more like Breitbart again.
Ann Coulter is a thorn in the side of the Left. The leftwing media tries to make her look like an intolerant person, but people are now realizing she has been dead-on in her detailed pronouncements of the truth. The media mouthpieces, who just follow their master's wishes, for big bucks, are intimidated by Ann. They don't have the skills to compete with her rational declarations---plus, they have to be careful not to offend their paymasters at the same time, or they could get fired. They are between a rock and a hard place.
America is very fortunate to have her front and centre.
