Someone at PJMedia managed to get a quick interview with Sarah Palin yesterday on her thoughts on Chris Kyle:

In a brief audio interview on the morning of Chris Kyle’s funeral, former Gov. Sarah Palin honors America’s military heroes.

Late to this thread, but here goes anyway:

Sarah Palin has honoured the Armed Forces, and will go on doing so. That makes her stand out when compared to a lot of GOP politicians.

I watched the streamed video of that Memorial Service, and went through a box of tissues.

The memorial, and the procession yesterday, showed more than anything that Americans know who the real heroes are, and that they are no longer swallowing the pap provided by the meejah.
They took back from the administration the honouring of heroes.
This is what America is about – and you all should be proud of it.

    • TexasPGRRider

Sarah Palin is a God Fearing, Freedom Fighting, Liberty Loving, Enthusiastic Patriot who continues to serve as an example of what this America IS all about, and also that Character Counts !!! A couple of things I have learned thru the years are: It`s never too late to say “I`m sorry”, and it`s never too late to say “Thank you”. That said, with humble Pride I Thank You colliemum, for sharing your thoughts and feelings at this time in this space. Peace be with you….

      • colliemum

        Thank you, TexasPGRRider!

The memorial service for Chris Kyle, and the procession, have shown me that we’re no longer scared of the Lying lefty meejah who’d rather spit on our soldiers than honour them, especially in death.
This happened here in the UK as well, see the images for the repatriation of our lads fallen in Afghanistan:
        https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=wootton+bassett+repatriation+ceremony&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=i3AbUdKYKYqx0AXpx4GwBQ&ved=0CFQQsAQ&biw=960&bih=600

That just goes to show that we all, we the people, know what’s right, who is honourable, and whom to disregard with icy contempt.

        • TexasPGRRider

Please share more details about this event…was it lately?

          • colliemum

It started in the early 2000s, when the first fallen were brought back to RAF Lyneham, from where they were driven through Wootton Bassett to Oxford.

At first, just a few veterans in the British Legion (which is a charity looking after veterans) came and stood there with their flags, which they lowered when the procession passed. Then more and more people came, the citizens of Wotton Bassett came and they also let the church bells toll during this slow drive-through.
Then soldiers still serving came, all those who’d served in Afghanistan, then the family members. In the end, it was huge.

The Queen honoured this little market town by giving it the name ‘Royal Wootton Bassett’ – there are not many towns named ‘Royal’, and this is a gift from her, which only she can give, not the government.

It all came to a close when RAF Lyneham was shut down, and there are no more processions through Royal Wootton Bassett now.

But we all saw, read and heard about it, and people grieved with the families and surviving soldiers. It brought home the sacrifices our lads have made, and made people ask questions of the government why there were not enough properly armoured vehicles, why there were not sufficient body armour – why why why.

The government could do nothing to stop this.

            • TexasPGRRider

We can`t Thank enough those who have paid the the ultimate price for our benefit. We can however, Honor and Respect their sacrifice. May The Good Lord Bless Freedom`s Troops wherever they may be !!! And Bless You & Yours colliemum, on this Ash Wednesday !!! Happy Easter Sister !!!!

  • tinlizzieowner

Sarah Palin could make the funeral using her own money but his ‘Commander in Chief’ couldn’t, even using our money and AIR FORCE One, which is flown and serviced by (USAF) military personnel.
