By The Right Scoop

Sarah Palin gave the keynote tonight at the anniversary of Reagan’s 100th birthday. Here are a few quotes her speech:

The Left’s version of American exceptionalism “is an exceptionally big government.”

“My fellow Americans, this is not the road to national greatness. It is the road to ruin.”

“And know that we are a force for good in this world, and that is nothing to apologize for.”

Enjoy!

    Palin/West 2012

Several Republicans might be able to beat Obama in 2012. I don’t know, but I figure we might as well pick the one that has the cojones to continue to face down the left and the crony-capitalists to fix our country too.

    President Palin

    • JR Dogman

If Gov. Palin decides to run, and if the GOP Establishment fools (a redundancy, I realize) don’t manage to make us the Stupid Party yet again, Gov. Palin won’t just *beat* Obama.

She’ll *smash* him like a cheap vase.

      As in beat him baaaaaad–Reagan-style.

Just as Rush said, she’ll *mop the floor* with Obama.

And she’ll do it with a smile.

Obama knows it. Ditto the rest of the Democrat Party–especially the MSM.

Wonderful speech from beautiful Sarah Palin. Too bad it wasn’t longer. She was quite reserved & respectful. She didn’t toss any fire-bombs, so the loony lefties have to be disappointed.

Reagan’s famous “A Time for Choosing” speech that Palin referenced throughout her own speech last night was about 29 minutes long. I doubt her speech being the about the same length was an accident.

It’s a great speech, and I thought Sarah did a great job paying tribute to Reagan while using her own voice to advance his values almost 50 years later.

she would have farted instead!, Al those moose meat. you would understand. you betcha!

At first, I thought Mrs. Palin’s opener (relating how she rode the trails blazed by President Reagan) was a metaphor for the resurgence of conservative thought. One of my coworkers then pointed out that it might be her understated way of hinting at a presidential run herself.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s not your fault you were born with liberalitis.

    • Conservative Hippie

D- Please explain what a moron is and why you think she is one? Certainly you must have something more substantial to say than to launch baseless personal attacks at Sarah Palin.

      • Omhq1

get an education! and listen to her!

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_ZM2XJEWHT7NXOHZTZWBFVKALNI DetroitS

Aren’t you going to address CH’s comment? So nothing more substantial?

      I didn’t think so. Typical

Good speech, delivered well. If I HAD to pick something to criticize, the only thing I could say is that it was a bit lengthy and needn’t have been.

    • Anonymous

Maybe they asked her to fill a certain amount of time.

I enjoyed the idea that she writes this stuff herself!!

  • Aktommorow

I hope she runs for President. Everyone needs to leave her alone so she doesn’t think twice about it. That would be the most entertaining race in history.

Stupid Media Tricks: Obama is no Ronald Reagan
    Every picture tells a story
    *
Of all the stupid media tricks we’ve seen from the state-controlled, lamestream media, the attenpt to equate Obama with Ronald Reagan is perhaps the stupidest. If anything, Obama is the anti-Reagan.

Every picture tells a story, as Rod Stewart used to sing. Is there any doubt which political figure below is Reaganesque and which is Kerryesque?

  • Steave4422

Randy Barnett via Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit:

“I must admit it was an impressive speech. The first I have heard her give since she accepted the VP nomination, only much better. Reaganesque even.”

  • http://twitter.com/tahDeetz Deetz

This was a historically well-woven speech delivered in such an affable manner, many liberals were forced to recognize the import of it.

This speech was on par with her convention speech.

It tells me she is running.

… to be quite frank, I believe Palin has been rope a dopin’ her foes for kicks & strategery.
