As a man who has frequented McDonalds a lot in his life (Egg McMuffins FTW!), I can honestly say I’ve never seen a McDonalds where the American flag was flying upside down. Anywhere.
But a former Marine who was driving down the road in Glendale, Arizona with his girlfriend saw just that, an American flag flying upside down at a local McDonalds. He didn’t like it one bit and he took quick action:
The manager, who says he’s also a Veteran, clearly didn’t like the rash action of his younger Marine counterpart, criticizing him on camera for not going to get a manager first.
But you know, this isn’t the first time this has happened at this same exact McDonalds. Check out this tweet from just over two years ago:
WTF @McDonalds your store at 67th & Camelback in Glendale AZ is flying the flag upsides down #firesomeone pic.twitter.com/6QVuEAbYTO

The manager can criticize all he wants, but I applaud this Marine vet for cutting it down. Perhaps this incident hitting the news and having to buy a new rope for the flag will make the manager and employees of this McDonalds take the American flag more seriously.
Or maybe fire idiot who keeps doing this.
