“Send all the illegals home!” Michael Reagan says GOP needs to stop making outrageous statements on immigration

Michael Reagan explained that his father and former president Ronald Reagan supported amnesty for illegals back in the ’80s even though he ended up getting duped on securing the border. And Reagan says we still need to live up to that promise that was made to his father and secure the border because history has now shown us that more illegals just keep crossing the border, a concern his dad had when he made the deal in the ’80s.

But beyond that, he also says that the voices we are hearing from the Republican party surround outrageous statements like “round up the 11 million and send them home” or “send the kids that were brought here illegally by their parents back home”. Reagan says we need to find a right way to deal with this problem, but we don’t need to be talking about it in an angry way, but in a more inclusive way. He says the idea that illegals are just going to come forward and be shipped home is stupid on its face. He says that’s not going to happen and something else needs to be done.
