Vapid fan favorite Sheriff Clarke is being considered to be drug out of Milwaukee and tossed into Trump’s Department of Homeland Security!!!
Politico is reporting that officials in the President Donald Trump administration are considering Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. for a job with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Clarke is to be appointed as assistant secretary at the department’s Office of Partnership and Engagement where he would be a liaison with state and local law enforcement agencies, according to Politico, an online news company. The position of assistant secretary does not require Senate confirmation.
Sources close to the sheriff have said for months that Trump officials have been interested in appointing Clarke to serve as the administration’s liaison to the law enforcement community. Those sources said if Clarke landed such a job, he would speak out on police-related matters and attend funerals for cops killed in the line of duty.
I used to be a big fan of Clarke like everyone else, but lately it just seems like he’s another zombie Trump apologist for Fox News. Which is exactly why Trump would love him in the administration. But, if he can score some results, then I’m all for it.
