From Jerusalem Online:
An IDF soldier in his 20’s sustained medium-level injuries this evening (Thursday) after being stabbed on Arlosoroff Blvd. in Afula. Civilians who were on the street at the time managed to seize the terrorist until the arrival of police forces.
Magen David Adom teams that arrived at the scene administered initial treatment to the soldier, who suffered three stabbing wounds to the stomach and chest, and evacuated him to the HaEmek Medical Center in the city. Pandemonium spread at the scene of the attack, after the angry crowd refused to allow Israeli security forces to evacuate the suspect from the scene. Police officers were forced to use tear gas in order to disperse the crowd, as 10 people were treated as a result of the gas and shock.
“There is a lot of commotion here, it’s like a battlefield,” stated one of the neighborhood’s residents. “It happened at the heart of the city. Children walk around here. It’s unfathomable. He could have entered any place and it could have ended much were if it wasn’t for the alert people here.”
