It’s really looking like the Trump legal team leaked the report that Cohen had tapes on Trump.
Here’s why:

Sounds like the Trump team doesn’t mind that this is out.
And according to a Daily Beast reporter, Cohen thinks that Giuliani tossed this out in order to throw him under the bus, and get out in front of the news:
"From people I spoke to today around Cohen's orbit, this is something they see as coming from the President's camp. This was a complete strategy executed in order to throw Cohen under the bus. So they see it very differently ...." - @emilyjanefox w/ @NicolleDWallace pic.twitter.com/4B26sJr15u

Yeah so why would the Trump team leak this out now? To control the narrative? That’s very Trumpy. But is it going to work?
Now watch Al Sharpton say that Cohen thinks Trump is tossing him under the bus:
Discussing details about my breakfast meeting with #MichaelCohen this morning. Cohen seemed troubled and seemed to feel abandoned by Trump, he said several times that he planned to do right by his family and his country. #AllInWithChrisHayes pic.twitter.com/XKZyc2rYDm

Ali Velshi asked me did #Trump’s former fixer #MichaelCohen want my blessing this morning at our breakfast meeting, here’s my response. #AllInWithChrisHayes pic.twitter.com/o4T3kO7UTn

Yeah you could say to me, “how dare you trust the word of Al Sharpton?!?” but it was Cohen who met with him this morning for breakfast:
I have known Rev for almost 20 years. No one better to talk to! https://t.co/3XEoHqhQyU

AllahPundit has a great run-down of the events of the day here too.
And then there’s this:
Breaking: @MichaelAvenatti says if Michael Cohen "was prepared to do the right thing", I would "absolutely consider" representing him.

"Michael Cohen and I had a chance to converse" we had "a very positive meeting" pic.twitter.com/AGA0MTvgmq
I think I can sum this up with what we’re all thinking: #MAGA!!!!!!!!!!
