SPOKESMAN: #Ferguson grand jury STILL MEETING — UPDATE: Prosecutor preparing news conference?

UPDATE: According to the Chicago Tribune, the prosecutor has already begun preparing a news conference:

The grand jury weighing whether to charge a white police officer who shot dead an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, was still in session on Friday, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said.

Although no date or time for the announcement of its decision was known, the prosecutor’s office said it had started to organize a news conference.

I’m not sure exactly what that means in terms of a timetable, but it would seem to suggest something will be announced sooner than later. I had figured they would wait until after Thanksgiving, but who knows.

There’s a lot of talk about schools closing around Ferguson next Monday and Tuesday in anticipation of a grand jury decision, but according to a spokesman for the prosecutor, the grand jury is still meeting:

FOX 2 NOW – A spokesman for the St. Louis County prosecutor says a grand jury is still meeting to consider charges against a Ferguson police officer in the shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Ed Magee, a spokesman for Bob McCulloch, sent an email to media organizations early Friday afternoon outlining plans for a press conference once McCulloch is ready to announce the decision. He gave no timetable for the announcement.

Of course that hasn’t stopped the protests and violence in Ferguson, which seems to be increasing every night. According to National Review, protesters were shouting last night to police that they wanted Darren Wilson DEAD.

While they didn’t get that on video, they did get this video of a thug throwing f-bombs and other hateful and profane language at police:
