Steny Hoyer: We don’t have a spending problem, we have a ‘paying for’ problem

I just heard Rush talking about this amazing clip of Steny Hoyer actually saying we have a ‘paying for’ problem when asked if we have a spending problem. And you know what over spending he cites that we need to pay for? BOOOOOOOOOOSH!

You’ve got to be kidding me. Obama has EXCEEDED Bush’s eight years of spending in ONLY FOUR YEARS! That’s right, FOUR YEARS! Obama has added 6 trillion to our debt in only four years, a pace that will add at least 12 trillion in eight years. And Steny Hoyer cites Bush administration spending as what we need to pay for?

Just amazing what the media lets these idiots get away with. Just amazing.

I’d call this a Hoyer problem, as well.

    • PatrickHenrysBody

Agreed. It’s also a “we can’t pay because we continue to spend too much problem”. Another useless leftist in Hoyer.

  • Sandra123456

We’re just not taking in enough to cover spending. Must raise taxes.

Try this, go to your boss and say that he is not paying you enough to cover your spending therefore you are going to increase your salary from him to meet your needs.

Same thing. Everybody in Congress that has been there longer than 8 years has to go.

  • JoeMontana16

The Media are devils. These peoples statements are so outrageous that ONE simple common sense logical question would feel like they’ve just been in a UFC fight.

  • Betsey_Ross

Steny Hoyer was my Rep a million years ago. He’s still there and he tells the same lies every time he speaks. He had a graph on his website showing support/non support of Obamacare. The majority voted against it, but guess who voted for it anyway? Steny Hoyer is the poster child for term limits. He’s the king of lofovo.

    • Don

If you averaged the IQs of Hoyer, Biden, Pelosi and Reid, the leaders of the progressives, it would start with a decimal point. Ignorance on this scale should really make the liberals proud.

  • nibblesyble

I wish I could be more eloquent, but Pelosi and Hoyer are on crack…it’s the only bloody answer to such stupidity.

  • nosilasunny

We wouldn’t have to pay if you idiots would stop spending future generations’ money to buy votes!

  • These people are Delusional. And I can’t believe Americans believe them. We are in big trouble.

  • 911Infidel

What people like Hoyer have is a brain/a$$hole malfunction. Their heads are so far up their a$$es that they could not pull it out with two hands. What they need is a frontal lobe labotomy performed by the Great Physician. They should make their appointment post-haste before their great awakening in the next life when they wake up with a terminal case of fire.

    • mike3e4r7

Lol! … Uh, I mean, that was a horrible thing to say (just in case I’m being monitored by Obama’s band of cyber warriors)

      • Conservative_Hippie

Obama has a band of cyber warriors!!?? O Crap!!

      • 911Infidel

Well darn…I plum forgot about Skeeter’s band of misfits.

Confiscating your hard earned property to give to whom…The Marxists, Black Liberation Theologist, The Critical Race Theorists, The Fascists, that come only with hands out because our Constitution was not written for all…

    Obama on the Greedy…
This is in his own words from his book “Dreams From My Father” page 158 of 235 PDF Form:
The title of Reverend Wright’s sermon that morning was “The Audacity of Hope.” He began with
a passage from the Book of Samuel-the story of Hannah, who, barren and taunted by her rivals,
had wept and shaken in prayer before her God. The story reminded him, he said, of a sermon a
fellow pastor had preached at a conference some years before, in which the pastor described going
to a museum and being confronted by a painting titled Hope.
“The painting depicts a harpist,” Reverend Wright explained,
“a woman who at first glance appears to be sitting atop a great mountain.
Until you take a closer look and see that the woman is bruised and bloodied,
dressed in tattered rags, the harp reduced to a single frayed string.
Your eye is then drawn down to the scene below, down to the valley below,
where everywhere are the ravages of famine, the drumbeat of war,
a world groaning under strife and deprivation.
“It is this world, a world where cruise ships throw away more food in a day
than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year,
where white folks’ greed runs a world in need,
apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere…
That’s the world! On which hope sits!”
    Obama on the Constitution…
In Obama’s on words from his book Audacity of Hope page 54 of 217 PDF Form:
Ultimately, though, I have to side with Justice Breyer’s view of the Constitution—that
    it is not a static
but rather a living document, and must be read in the context of an ever-changing world.

Obama’s meaning…change it on the fly! Don’t respect the original-ists, Founding Fathers, We are here to bring you this message…
If you are not of color you are the Oppresser,
If you are of color you are the Oppressed!
That is The World In Which Obama Rules!

  • Smith Smith

Wonder if my bank would undertsand that logic and give me more money, I’m just not making enough right now to apy for what I want.

so how long have we had to borrow money to pay for things?

So we have had a paying for it problem for the last 20years?

  • mike3e4r7

    Dangerous Doofus Alert!!

  • Rshill7

In other words, we don’t have a truth problem we have a flammable pants problem.

We have a monopoly money morph problem. We have a “This is the USA, total collapse will never happen here”, problem.

We have a one-sided message machine going round the clock, brought to you by talking heads who all seem to have “D’s” tattooed on the inside of their foreheads. Little Obama cheerleaders jockeying for the privilege of occupying one of his colon condos.

We have a political whore problem. A lifetime politician problem. Many education problems. A lowest common denominator, societal problem which celebrates daily what we used to call sin.

We have a history teaching and learning deficit, coupled with serious revisionism. We see and hear highly selective outrage from fickled fiddlers…sunrise, sunset and back again.

We have a failure to see failure, yet according to Hoyer and Pelosi, it ain’t broke. 3-D blindfolds for everyone! Step right up!

    • Conservative_Hippie

That would be funny if it weren’t so bleeping sad!

  • burt

Rush did a great parody (quoting him not verbatim):

    Alcoholic: “I don’t have a drinking problem!
The bartender gave me all that booze”

Liberalism is a mental disease and here is a proof from a psychiatrist:

  • The malignant commie media lets them get away with these lies because they are part of this leftist push to destroy the country. We shouldn’t even be asking them why they don’t challenge these lies, only point out that the commie media is seeking the same agenda and covering up for the Left. The MSM are doing their job for the communists.

    • Rightstuff1

There ought to have been a chorus of “you cannot be serious” comments and raucous laughter at this imbecilic crap he was peddling. Instead they tried to engage him. No, its utter crap. Don’t engage the idiot. Would you take advice from this man about your personal finances? No you wouldn’t but he gets to postion himself on the country’s finances? Really?

  • Yazz55

This nonsense gets wierder and wierder each and every day.

  • Sober_Thinking

Wow… it must be “opposite” day when it comes to the truth. Oh wait, that’s EVERY day with the liberal lapdog MSM and Democrats… my bad.

I wish the truth would come out now… I wish that the dumbmasses REALLY understood what was being done to this country (and them) and how badly the media and these idiots in Washington are lying to them. Sadly… the full effect of all of this won’t be felt fully for another couple years… right about when Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Hoyer, Durbin, Frank, Schumer, Boehner, McConnell, Cantor, and all the other criminals retire or move on. And then it will likely be too late.

    • mike3e4r7

I agree. It’s amazing how many smart people out there (and a lot of dumb ones as well) have no clue that they are being taken for a ride by the libs/leftists. Global warming, the sob stories they trot out every time any budget cuts are mentioned.

I know many of these people. You probably do too. They’re not necessarily stupid people but they have a streak of arrogance in them. They’ve already figured out who the enemy is and are too proud to consider that their world view might be wrong and has been shaped by people who are using them. Useful idiots, in a word.

They can tell you all about how Hitler or Lenin manipulated events to seize power, but can’t conceive of it happening in the present even when it’s occuring right in front of their eyes.

      • Sober_Thinking

  • With the never ending spewing of BS coming out of the mouths of politicians every single day how can anyone wonder nwhy this country is in such a mess?!

Gee Steny…with brains like that you could be VP.

  • pdxlady

It is amazing that someone doesn’t crack up laughing at the delusional statements by Hoyer and Pelosi.

Rush had a great caller that nailed it. Paraphrasing it: I just went out and bought an iPad, now I have a paying for it problem.

    • Rightstuff1

Well using Obamanomics you can just assign that debt to your kids or even grandkids. Absolutely no reason whatsoever for you to be concerned about it 🙂

We have a “paying for” problem. Can you just imagine all the invincibly ignorant Dumbs (Dems) all nodding sagely and saying, “yeh, that’s right. Make them rich pigs pay! Yeh, they has to pay for the gummint to work”.

People we are literally doomed economically and we deserve (as a people) everything we have coming to us. Hold your loved ones close its going to get reallllly ugly when our inability to rise to our “paying for” problem pushes our country into the economic abyss.

  • TimeForAnarchy

I have an idea……..YOU pay for it, Steny. Yeah, that’s right………your money.

  • stage9

NO! We have a LIBERAL problem….more like an infestation!

  • Dukehoopsfan

Maryland has had a hoyer problem for 40 years. His district is comprised of a high percentage of folks who either work for the state or the feds or receive some type of gummint handouts. He is virtually assured of staying in office for life.

    • pdxlady

We need for the good folks in Maryland to change that in the next election. Someone who can knock him off his throne.

It just makes me sick, the number of seemingly lifetime appointments there are in the House and Senate. The founders did not have that in mind.

We must pass Term Limit legislation to dump anyone who has been there for 2-3 terms in the Senate and 6 to 9 terms max for the House. Twelve to eighteen years is even for both, and more than enough time.

      • Dukehoopsfan

I agree with you but he keeps getting reelected by the low information, entitlement receiving populace of a particular county.

  • CalCoolidge

A “paying for” problem? Paying for what? Democrat corrupt spending. That’s a spending problem.

I don’t think this is an amazing clip. They all say the same thing, Pelosi, as recently as this week.

  • It takes a certain type of courage to look the camera straight in the eye and lie. Hoyer could be POTUS if it weren’t already occupied by someone better at lying than he is.

  • jimmie smith

“Paying for it problem”, code for, don’t worry 47%, were working hard getting everything you need, at the expense of…(insert your name here)…
