El Presidente Trump was very much hoping that if he just met with the Freedom Caucus members that he would be able to use his considerable charm to persuade them, since he’s the world’s best negotiator ever seen ever, to vote for the GOP Obamacare replacement bill.
Well, here’s how that worked out:
BREAKING: House Freedom Caucus chairman, speaking after White House meeting, says there are still not enough votes to pass healthcare bill

Yeah, no bueno, Trumpy.

Pretty clear the @VP Pence meeting didn't do the trick with the House Freedom Caucus members – most making clear they still aren't there yet

BREAKING: more than 25 Freedom Caucus 'No's' on AHCA — group says "start over"

Dear @freedomcaucus: We got your back. Sincerely, @FreedomWorks

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) says "not a single one of us moved" after Freedom Caucus WH mtg w/Pence, Conway, Bannon & others
— Cristina Marcos (@cimarcos) March 22, 2017
I can’t imagine what Bannon said at that meeting – he was probably the “bad cop” yelling and screaming, “I WILL BURY YOU ALL!!!” but to no avail.
This was from last night:
Honored to serve w/ @RepMarkMeadows @Jim_Jordan @Raul_Labrador and the entire @freedomcaucus. We'll continue to stand up for people at home.

Mo Brooks leaves Freedom Caucus mtg with shot at RSC: "We are standing firm as the only group of conservatives left in the US Congress."

So, what happened to that “world’s greatest negotiator”?
Q for @RandPaul after Freedom Caucus mtg: Should House cancel AHCA vote?
"I believe they're going to have to. They don't have the votes."
