STUPID: Federal judge strikes down key part of Texas abortion law; TED CRUZ calls decision the ‘real war on women’

Arguing that its unconstitutional for a state to set minimum standards for an abortion clinic that matches that of a hospital for doing these types of invasive abortions is patently ridiculous and is nothing more than judicial activism:

KHOU – A federal judge has thrown out new abortion restrictions that would have banned the procedure at most Texas facilities where women can legally end a pregnancy.

U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel on Friday sided with abortion clinics that challenged one of the most disputed measures of a sweeping anti-abortion bill signed by Republican Texas Gov. Rick Perry in 2013.

The law would have required the clinics to meet hospital-level operating standards by Sept. 1. That would have left seven places for women to get an abortion in Texas, down from the 19 facilities that abortion-rights groups say are currently available.

Ted Cruz said a few moments ago that the above decision is a setback, says by allowing abortion clinics to remain open while operating under substandard conditions is the real war on women:

The Texas legislature, representing the will of the people of Texas, fought boldly last session to strengthen measures that protect innocent life and to limit the tragic impact of abortion on our society. Today’s court decision is a setback, and would allow abortion facilities to continue operating under substandard conditions – that is a real war on women. I hope that the 5th Circuit will quickly reverse it. ‪#‎Stand4Life‬

Texas is expected to appeal this ridiculous decision.
