We reported the other day that Assad had sent a senior diplomat to Russia in order to discuss how they can peacefully transition power to the Rebels. But the rebels don’t believe the Russians are ‘honest brokers’ since they’ve been supporting Assad and, realizing that they have gained the upper hand over Assad, don’t want anything to do with peace talks and would rather keep fighting until they kick Assad out of the palace.
