Accuracy in Media decided to carry Tea Party signs to the Occupy DC protests and discuss it with some of the protesters. Let’s just say the responses they got required a lot of ‘clean up’ editing:

I absolutely love this. It is the same behavior that you get when point above and believe in Jesus and GOD. These handled themselves very well. Truth hurts!

The CATO institute provided an interesting Venn diagram this morning showing the overlap between what the Tea Party was originally about (before it was silently hijacked and integrated into the Republican party) and the main focus of Occupy Wall Street.

CATO: “Tea Party, Meet Occupy Wall Street. OWS, Tea Party

Reason #185 why Libertarians will never win.

      • Anonymous

Rather have a Libertarian than a communist or community organizer

      • http://www.kennethballard.com Kenneth

Then why are Republicans attempting to campaign on Libertarian principles? Oh wait, that’s what they always do. Campaign as Libertarians in order to get elected, then just revert to the status quo once in office…

Anyone else notice the Ron Paul sign at 2:00? What does Ron Paul and the protestors have in common? They are both suffer from Oikophobia.

    • Josh

Was just reading through to see if anyone else caught that.

From what I have heard, a number of Ron Paul supporters are joining OWS hoping to get an audit of the Fed.

There’s a huge difference in the character and attitudes between the protestors and Tea partiers, that speaks volumes in itself.

  • http://escapingmediocrity.wordpress.com Natassia

Well, if these protesters are the Tea Party’s enemies, we don’t need friends. What a bunch of fools.

I really wish we could give these protestors the whole state of California. Can you imagine the disaster zone that would create. Would be great to get rid of all the free loaders and deadbeats polluting the other 56 states, not having to pay welfare to all the new citizens of California would shore up every other states budget right quick. however, it would cause alot of suffering when everyone starts to starve inside the peoples state of Cali.

    • Brandy Carter

A lot of conservatives still live in California, myself one of them. We are trying to fight the good fight, but we are outnumbered. Please don’t dump more on us–we have more than enough.

Me too! I live here in SoCal (going to college…gasp) and it really is intimidating! I am not the type to ever be silent on political issues, ans I find myself dancing the thin, fine line between speaking my side and getting dropped from class. These liberal “professors” really personify liberalism in general, in that if you counter there “prophesy” with real-world examples showing the class how retarded they really are, they will drop you from the class in a heart beat. Generalizations are key!

But, I digress! I am a conservative in California, and we really need SUPPORT out here! There are a lot of closet conservatives, as well as apolitical young people that are being HERDED to the Democrat party (California gives pretty much EVERYONE free college education, thus, free liberal indoctrination).

I have met some very decent people in California. The loonies are more vocal and get the publicity but I think there are far more conservatives in California than anyone realizes. Keep fighting the good fight Brian – in the end the good guys win.

Good! Another Andrew Breitbart in the making. We need more ABs.

Don’t lose heart Brian, I too got a dressing down in class for advocating a traditional family lifestyle way back in the 60s, it was a great lesson in critical thinking that I have not forgotten, and I learned just how rigid the left actually is. For all of their cloaking themselves in “lib” thinking, it is a farce. There are still many conservatives in CA, but we could use a lot more, keep on keeping on. GB you.

Join us in the real America. California doesn’t love you and we need you.

Nope, I’m staying right here in my third generation home state. We do have some elected officials that are opening peoples eyes to the nonsense; Tim Donnolly for one,who is going to put up a fight to remove Moonbeams plan to educate illegals at taxpayers expense. And is also starting a petition to recall Brown. And believe it or not,has got about a million people here, that support his ideas.

      • Toni w

        AMEN!

    • http://www.facebook.com/nelsoncit Neal Nelson

Its a bit of an immature thought, but I wish there was someplace we could give them so they to try out all their loony ideas without hurting the rest of us. Maybe then they would realize the error of their ways and grow up.

      • Anonymous

Even if we could and did give them a spot, they would probably then bitch because we still needed to give them the raw materials, labor and capital to start off their economy. OH AND THE OBAMALOANS…

I have such place. It has nice weather similar to CA and very receptive government. It’s CUBA. And I would not be so cruel to them as to sentence them to 25 to life. I would exile them for 3 years. I think that would be enough to, as Chinese were, to re-educate them in Cuban hard labor camps

  • http://www.planettron.com NickDeringer

And they did all that in just an hour. Glenn Beck is right. These people are dangerous radicals. Do not dismiss them as kooks.

Are you talking about the “sheeple”? That was the funniest thing I’ve EVER read. “I tried to get to Wall Street, but the fence kept shocking me”.. Hilarious. I had to go get kleenex I was laughing so much. Thanks, I needed that :-)

The worst thing to do is for both protest groups to show up on the streets. One side will be violent, and I think it will give Obama the green light to take action as they will all be viewed as a collective group of protest.

    • Anonymous

One thing that I don’t think they realize is that most of the guns belong to people on the right, in the Tea Party. No saying that the Tea Party will use them of course, but if the communists and soicalists start getting violent against the Tea Party whos to say that someone is not allowed to defend themselves if the violence gets ratcheted up too much…just saying.

  • Anonymous

    BRAVO!!!

  • http://fishygov.wordpress.com FishyGov

Looked to me as if those peaceful protesters were on the verge of violence. I wonder if the Occupiers reaction would have been different if those Tea Partier’s left the Union’s are bad posters at home?

  • http://twitter.com/joelcathey Joel Cathey

The one thing that is keeping me from tweeting this out is the fact that there are egregious misspellings in the subtitles. It may seem like a small thing, but I know supporters of OWS are looking for any excuse to ignore common sense, as they have no other leg on which to stand.

  • http://twitter.com/mjh4259 Mary

As I see it, the difference between the Tea Party and OWS is one is trying to restore constitutional government; the other to destroy it.

  • Anonymous

These dudes are awesome. I can’t wait until a protest comes my way. They handled it like true patriots.

  • Anonymous

Those bolshevicks were getting a bit testy when the tea party folks showed up. Absent any substantive response, they did their usual name calling and cursing routine.

btw-the guy who claimed to have 64000 shares of AT&T either inherited it or is just a liar. My guess is the latter.

  • Anonymous

This kid did a pretty good job of trying to influence a mostly disinterested crowd before the Communist organizers herded the crowd away: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZmPWcLQ1Mk

  • Anonymous

These people are retarded as these point out. The guy who owns 67K shares of AT&T for example….he wouldn’t even give a coherent discussion when they were pointing out that he is partcipating in capitalism, just called them names. Thats what I don’t get. They hate corporations and capitalism yet enjoy the wealth and freedom that capitalism brings. I wonder how he would feel if AT&T (along with other corporations) closed their doors?? “Victory against corporations!!…crap my stocks are worth nothing now.”

Socialism is for the people not the Socialist.
