Ted Cruz was asked about the armed protest in Oregon this morning and he called on the protesters to stand down peaceably:

He’s right. We have a right to protest but we don’t have the right to use or threaten force or violence, even if our cause is noble.
I don’t expect this to escalate into a gunfight between the Bundy protesters and law enforcement. They’ve made their stand and have gotten the nation’s attention. I think that’s the best they can hope for at this point.
